Hello, maybe someone has a few tips for my problem here. The alternator no longer charges the battery at my year 1997 SLK. Among other things on the BAB. I measured today everything that occurred to me times with a multimeter. The Lima delivers 19.5 volts. This voltage also arrives at the separation relay/crash relay (near the battery, was installed until about 1998 in the SLK). However, it does not go from there to the battery. On the line are only the approx. 12.7 volts. the battery on. So probably the relay did for what it is intended for and the connection Lima to the battery cut off. On the one hand this probably means that the separation relay has to be new. On the other hand, however, the question arises why the Lima supplies 19.5 volts. There could of course be the regulator of the Lima defective. In another forum post someone had a similar problem and the Lima for a new one changed and in consequence the new one produced exactly the same overvoltage. Only when he the I switched the separation relays again. On the pathogen line of the Lima I have with ignition and engine from 0 volts. On ignition I measured 0.8 volts there and with running motor it fluctuated between approx. 12 and 14 volts. I ask myself the following questions: Without having the current plan now it looks as if the pathogen line from the area of the motor control unit. Could this have a problem, which the Lima controller does not work? Is just the Limar or can the disconnection relay be the causer and it comes to the overvoltage because no more consumers are on the Lima? My concern is that I unnecessarily install a new Lima (and new/used disconnection relay) (there is either no new controller or is relatively expensive) or a new disconnection relay and this burns again because of the still existing overvoltage. With all this hope I don’t think the engine control unit can be the cause. I have attached a picture of the separation relay. Who knows each other and how best to proceed? Thank you!

Beeping/Fieping at 230K Built 99 / Electrical problem
Hello @ all, I have a strong problem since the beginning of the year that as soon as I turn on the climate it starts to fiep cruelly. Sounds really crazy. Meanwhile it makes this sound even when the climate is off. Think this comes from the direction of blower? Perhaps. Relay defective? The sound is apparently also speed dependent because when I step the clutch and it is going away at 800Upm. cupper I again is back after half a minute. Hl this is also gone and comes back when the speed falls. Furthermore, there is another thing that slowly disturbs me. When the climate is on and I turn on the light, the blower switches off completely. climate cannot be switched on/off. Circulation air no reaction. Light in the instrument board becomes darker. ABS / ESP lamp at the SLK R170 lights up.
Hello, I drive a SLK R170 and also have the problem with the sporadic light on the BAS/ASR warning light in the cockpit. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: I start the car and the warning light lights up. If I turn off the engine now while driving and then switch on again, the warning light goes off. As soon as my car comes to a stop at the next traffic light, however, the BAS/ASR lamp goes directly on again. But as I said, the problem is sporadic. Sometimes the lamp also stays out, od It doesn’t even start at all. FIRST REPARATURE MEASURE: I changed the brake light switch during the Christmas days, but without success. By the way, the car did not require any recalibration afterwards. The lamp stayed out after the first ride and only lit up two days later. FEHLERPROTOKOLL: After that, I went to the Bosch Service Center to read out the fault memory. On the error log, the rear brake sensor on the left and the rear brake sensor on the left side of the brake. PROBLEM SEARCH: I find it strange that according to the protocol, both sensors should have failed at the same time and then also function at the same time, and then fail again at the same time. So, according to all logic, this is highly unlikely. I am also surprised that both sensors should always fail at the rear (i.e. left and right wheel sensor) at the same time. Especially since the ABS / ESP Lame is extinguished when I use the car during d After this action, the lamp will only turn on again when the car comes to a complete standstill, i.e. before a red traffic light. Is there possibly still a sensor on the gearbox that could trigger the error message if necessary? Maybe a corroded plug etc.? Every year I come on a total journey of approx. 15,000 km, and drive daily a distance of approx. 30 km for the return journey to the company, 90 percent motorway. looking for a used vehicle up to approx. 20 – 25,000 € max. which should be fun in driving technology, and as far as possible is still economical in terms of the maintenance costs.
