Hello. That there is no indication of instant consumption in the G is understandable given the fuel consumption. Anyone who buys a G knows that this is not a consumption-optimized vehicle. But is it normal that the average consumption indicator is completely wrong? What do you have here for experience? With my other vehicles there is a tolerance of up to 0.7 liters. With the G 350 BT (model 2015, recently purchased) I now had an average consumption of 11.4 liters after 602 KM / 100 KM on the display. I have now refuelled 77.77 liters. This results in an average consumption of 12.92 liters / 100 KM (of course the refueling method is also inaccurate, the tank quantity depends, among other things, on the outside temperature and on the previous even refuelling; but certainly more accurate than the display). Clearly 12.92 liters is fully in the bearable range, especially with a diesel engine not yet in use, many short distances, preheating (about 20 minutes) and a G Untested drivers. But you can’t rely on the display. This is 1.5 liters next to it. That’s a considerable deviation. Does the display only show desired values and serve to calm your conscience? Will this be better during G life or should you simply hide the display in the future? Or does the heater consume a huge amount of fuel (it could actually only make up half a liter for the total quantity of fuel used and it would be cleaned up around the heating system. still use 12.8 liters). Greetings Tom

Steering wheel possible with G 270cdi retrofitting?
Even if it comes across strangely: I don’t like these multifunction steering wheels. No matter what shape, but keys have lost nothing (yes, yes, I know I have this opinion almost exclusively). Is it possible to mount a steering wheel without buttons but with airbag (it should fit from the mounting steering column) and to get a solution for the operation of the on-board computer? I would think of keypads on the back that could be placed there. Or quite without action, only if the i Need to connect a keypad, too. And of course the ABE should be preserved or entered. Doofe idea? Good slide! Carsten

Ventilation grid with arrow print !?
Hello together My G63 has some kind of arrow-shaped prints on the ventilation grids (on the dashboard), looks really SCH…/cheap, see photos. A spare part has been ordered from my garage, but looks the same. Do you have that with your G too? Is this really standard…? Does someone know remedy for this problem? If not available please specify model and vintage Thank you in advance Donnergott

“Protection” of the rear of the front seats from child’s feet….
Funny topic, but annoying. Especially small children have to push their shoes against the front seats (is not an S-Class) – and in winter it’s called mud and salt on the leather. Has anyone found a good solution for this? Sometimes you see in taxis such plastic protection cover? LG, Max

Pre-gloss
Dear G-Friends, at my G, 270er cdi, EZ 10/04, I am watching: I start the machine. Everything is “normal”. Then, shortly after start or later, the pre-glow spiral lights up again in the instrument cluster and disappears again after a few kilometers. What’s up? A defective glow candle or defective relay? Thank you.

Of course, he’s been driving 12000 km now he’s standing.
After 6 months and 12000 km of pleasure at our thickness, came the first disillusionment. Yesterday quite normally driven off briefly and then returned home, suddenly motor warning lamp (yellow) and no more power (emergency run) immediately to the best buddy and error memory read out, result “inlet channel shutdown function” because my friend is an excellent reader but a miserable mechanic, please, what does the part, where is the part and what would a rep. at the cost. W he had problems with the ECAS, too. Thank you

Mercedes R class, W251 320 CDI, problems with transmission or engine control
Hello together, I have the following problem with my (privately acquired) W 251 R 320 CDI 4 matic, mileage 150 T km, EZ 02. 2006, the following problem: Sporadic, but very often you have the feeling as if you were driving with the attached parking brake or you could also compare it with a mountain descent in the cruise control, where the speed is throttled or controlled by the motor electronics. In this phase the car also reacts quite delayed to the accelerator and has hardly any duch train, the Moto r turns up delayed, but hardly any power is transferred to the wheels. The gearbox itself switches in the cold state relatively normal, but in the warm state, after about 60 km of highway or in the hot weather it is even more pronounced, switches it very hard from the 4th to the 3rd and from the 3rd to the 2nd and also so hard again, i.e. 2nd to the 3rd and 3rd to the 4th. The problem is that in the error memory no errors are stored at all, neither With MB, all the data from the transmission has already been read out and sent to Stuttgart to evaluate, the specialists from the MB plant think that all values are in the green area. Does anyone know this problem? Thank you in advance…

New addition with R-Class 280
I wish you a nice day to all those who read this here. I bought or exchanged an R-Class R280 for my E-Class CDI220. I have the R-Class for a week now and am very excited. The R280 is used by Daimler (EZ 3/2008) and had 80200km on the clock. It has a great equipment from Navi over leather to AMG styling. It is super well maintained and top in shot. Color is dark blue. It is 8-fold matured and has a trailer coupling. It has Xenon with curved light and Ab My kids are gone. By the way, it’s my wife’s dream car and me. MfG.FRED
