the developers of the car manufacturers invest millions in chassis tests…… and tuning the vehicles and then some go here to D&W or elsewhere and install some firlefance to make a Scirocco out of a Daimler…. Why do they do this?

2020 G63 – immediately rockfall / crack in the disc
Moin, I’m just going to ask: I’ve had the cube for 1.5 weeks (2020 model) and was on the highway yesterday when POCK made it. A small stone blow that after a few seconds became a big crack, which now runs from the very top to the bottom. Directly to Mercedes, is probably a casco damage etc. p.p. The question is, because this seems to be normal with the G-models, that the disk is very vulnerable and actually not highway/road at all Is it not rather a production error or a guarantee case?! New C 280 limousine

With summer tires through the winter?
Hello, for some years I have been driving on my cars from the end of March / beginning of April to the end of October / beginning of November summer tires. In the rest of the time I have mounted winter tires. I mean, still there are too many drivers who are travelling on summer tires in winter. To this mentioned, already various drivers told me that they had been driving for 10, 20 or 30 years, never owned winter tires and also no need. They could just drive a car. That is pure I personally don’t think anything about the so-called all-year tires! Are they neither fish nor meat. They won’t have the full characteristics of a summer tire in summer, neither will they have the full characteristics of a winter tire in winter, do they? Of course, in summer such an all-year tire should be better than a winter tire and in winter it should be better than summer tires. In my opinion, in winter the summer tire riders endanger themselves and other. Obviously, more and more insurance companies are also of the opinion. with G500 (Bj2005) 3 years in Africa – spare parts tips
Servus dear Fomamies, from August our beloved G goes to Africa for the next few years. A G500 from 2005 with currently 75000km. Technical conversion (carriage, additional tank,etc.) by ORC has taken place. The camping interior installation will make a company in Cape Town. Large customer service + transmission flushing (incl. filter, seal, intermediate plug) still follows here in Munich. A Mercedes master still instructs me in his old not needed star diagnosis C3 tool, so that I in the bush possibly an ode With the help of a screwdriver at Mercedes in Gaborone, Francistown, Windhoek or Joburg or another bush workshop, I will be able to continue running the cart. Air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, various fuses/lamps, windscreen wiper blades I will certainly put on the parts list. What else would make sense to take along?
