  • Higher, but correct W461

Moin. I’m new, I tried the search, but found no suitable topic: I have an ex-Swiss military Puch, 230 GE. This looks already high, the springs measure in the developed state front 465mm, rear 425mm, because no color codings are visible anymore and the mileage is speculative, it is pure guessing which springs are in there right now, maybe they were also a few mm longer. However, I would like to make from the full drawer, but also no aberdutzend conversions Does anyone have an idea what is going on with springs without having to adjust brake lines? Or are they enough? And do the dampers go with that? Tires would also be converted from 30” to 32” diameter (largest factory clearance)…

  • R = S-class combi??

Hello (E)R drivers and forum members, I did it and now I bought a R320CDI. It’s really not nice, so it took me a long time to get over it. Now it’s there…and I’m thrilled, especially after the first longer ride. It’s a real GT (Gran Turismo), a car for the big trip. I’ve never been more comfortable with 1,200km a day: super quiet, floating like on clouds with air suspension, real pullman seats, great air conditioning, seidi The engine is strong enough, but the 8-cylinder diesel would be better. Also the interior is – for me – comfortable and comfortable to look at (leather grey with root wood). If the reliability also fits now, this is a great car; let’s see. Maybe I’ll get lost when I look at the R as an “S-Class-combi”, but that’s pretty good at the core of the thing. Conclusion: The R-type must probably be from the Germans and Eu However, it is quite expensive and therefore will probably not become a volume model. Also, the dimensions are already enormous and hardly suitable for inner cities due to the poor overview. But a large car is big, what should it be.

  • Sports exhaust G500 short

Hello, dear friends of the well-kept exhaust bubbling, for the long G500 you can order a sports exhaust ex factory quite cheaply. For the short there is unfortunately not this option. I have a little googled before, but can not really go further. Does any of you know a good source for a theoretical street legal part, possibly with not so legal flap control? For tips I would like to thank you in advance……

  • Night Package – “same” retrofitting

Dear community, regardless of which current G I decide for, the night package is almost obligatory for me personally. However, I am more or less “only” about the black accents. I can do without the larger tyres in both cases (500s / 63s). Accordingly, I find the extra charge only partially justified… Has someone already dealt more intensively with how elaborately an independent “refurbishment” / “foiling” of the affected parts is? On the Internet or at Kunzmann I can’t discover anything in the direction yet… Is probably a little too early for the wide market. Thanks for your input. Smo

  • Offroad trailers or caravans

Does anyone here have an off-road trailer or caravan that fits the G? I want to get something like that for occasional use in the “wildness”. Requirement: overnight stay for a person with a dog. I have a roof tent, but the assembly is so cumbersome that I have never installed it before, in my opinion, a roof tent is not suitable for spontaneous use if you don’t go for a walk all the time. Greetings OpenAirFan

  • New G-Class 463A – Warranty Extensions

And there is it – my salesman was unfortunately completely unaware and wanted to tell me even for our Gs there is nothing?! Yesterday in a MB branch with a dedicated KD master then found that… What do you mean? Is a lot of money – on the other hand? If there is really something on the new big ship, it will also be a very expensive exercise!

  • Who is all W126 addicted ?????????

You have the car key in your hand and have approached your resting beauty. A short moment of lingering, the view wanders a little bit over the well-proportioned car body. A design which today still evokes admiration or incomprehension. Carefully open the door and let yourself glide with pleasure into the armchairs provided in the lounge. Yes, they sat then, the directors bosses and bankers. No a bluff. You close your door with a soft “plopp” and be at home. Self-satisfied your all-round view captures this detail-loving-objective interior. And now the most beautiful, starting! Whichever sleeping animal you wake up to, the 3 liters diesel or the 5.6 liters gasoline, the feeling is always the same… IT IS A W126 TO FEEL, and time and again, and time and again……… uer addictive B.Sacco

  • CL 500 from BJ 2002. error known ?

Hello would like to buy me from my free budget ( 20,000 euro ) a CL 500 mopf ( BJ 2002, 3, 4 ). I already have the one or the other in the eye. mostly more than 100,000 KM ( which is probably not so bad in this class cars). what can you say about the CL 500. there are problems that are known ? can occur ? the car costs about 16,000 euro, thus 4000 euro in advance reserve. I would even have carried out a small workshop at hand the repairs, inspections (all cars me ister with years of experience). what would you recommend before buying ? on what should you pay attention ? mfg

  • Parking brake pulls unevenly…

Hello, today the annual check was due again. Unfortunately a serious defect was found: the parking brake pulls completely unequal (li 3,00, re 1,40 !). Last year this was still different: there were values at li 3,30 and re 3,50. Since I use the parking brake absolutely NEVER it is obvious that there is somewhere the rope train rusted. Did someone already have the same problem ? Since I would like to fix the problem myself immediately also the question: comes one a n the rope pull just so, or has to there the plastic decoction or the wheels down. Guess that there is nothing without stage, or maybe still ? Normally a little MOS2 spray should pass on the rope pull – or is there a better solution ? Nice greeting
