The car has been doing it to me since my childhood, my father drove two of these cars, which are desirable in many ways (1st series). The memories should soon be “refreshed” and my desire for own ownership put into action. For about 6 months now I am crisscrossed, for hours and almost every day on the Internet and look around, compare, durc hstöbere Foren, Portale etc… I had taken a closer look at one or the other car, but then again rejected (visit in Berlin or Augsburg for time reasons not feasible/ price too high).But good thing wants to have a while…But to get to the point 😉 1. The annual run performance (use only in the summer season) will be at most 5000 km 2. approx. 3/4 of the annual run performance is completed in the city 3. Tempo = Cruise speed 4. 5. Even if the topic of fuel consumption is rather secondary and has been dealt with several times in this forum, does one of you know reasonably reliable comparative data between 300’s and 500’s? Since the costs are rising even here it is perhaps not quite so uninteresting for me. Maybe who has a website at hand. Unfortunately, my previous research was not so satisfactory. The city has a lot to offer. I have heard/read about the 8 cylinders that they are smoother. The 6 cylinders, however, are more economical. However, with an annual run capacity of up to 5000 km you might neglect?? Which purchase would you advise me to buy? I am torn back and forth between a 300 SE (the long version is very rarely to be found here according to my research) and a 500 SEL. And an SEL would be fine;-) Un d last but not least: What do you think, apart from the fixed costs (insurance/tax/garage rental/petrol…) how much should be targeted monthly for repair/maintenance costs? SL W129 320 (1994) goes too high
Dear Foren reader, I would be very pleased with suggestions regarding the following problem: My SL 320, EZ 1994, turns too high. Idle speed is fine (approx. 700), the problem occurs only when driving. At approx. 200 km/h the rev indicator intervenes. Normally it should do this only at 250 km/h. At 100 km/h it has a terrible 3000 rpm. Much too high! I had the transmission oil changed. It switches softly. In advance it has ticked off and on while switching (on a When I switched to the sport mode, it went again. Facelift on my R129
Hello, this week my R129 Bj 12/92 has mopted. Only the new exterior mirrors are not there yet. They are already in 199 lacquered with me in the cellar, but I still lack the mirror glasses. Since I have no desire to put 400€ on the table for two automatically glareable glasses at Mercedes I will wait a bit longer. Maybe there is still something suitable in the bay. The matching Mopf2 rims are already in the basement, but will only be available in May. when the car is re-registered.

W124 300D oil loss cylinder head gasket
