  • Unbalance or vibration at BFG All-Terrain KO2 – your experiences?

Hello, for my G55 vacuum cleaner from 2001 I am looking for a good tire with an off-road focus. Of course, the BFG AT or MT are close to that. Five years ago I had already looked for an A/T tire suitable for everyday use for my G500 year 2015 and decided for the BFG AT KO2, namely in the series size, i.e. 265/60/18. After two weeks I took the tires down again and since then they have been lying around because they vibrated between 80 and 110 unpleasantly. My MB-NDL has d After the two weeks I switched to Yokohama Geolandar G015 and remained true to the tire on some cars to this day. But for heavier terrain it is not particularly good. Just a little over a year ago I bought above all G55 AMG suction cup from 2001, which has mounted 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2. Also here light vibrations already after purchase on the return drive the according to trusted seller tirevol I then asked my MB-NDL to rebalance and get the last unbalance out. Result: Bader than before. I was complaining and was there in the second rebalance – the wheels were balanced to zero, but the steering wheel still vibrates between 80 and 110, after that it gets better again. Long speech, short sense: With two different Gs and two different tire dimensions I have bad experiences with the BFG ATs in each case. 8. I would be very surprised if neither the G-professional, with whom I bought the 55s, nor the MB-NDL and also our tyre service were to be unable to balance BFG-ATs. Did you have your own experience? Is that just “normal” with the ATs? And are the MTs even worse due to the coarser profile? Background: I want a remote-accessible tire, which is at least similar to BFG AT, better yet similar to MT and NOT vibrating. I tend here to the dimension 265/75/16 or 285/75/16, but by no means would like this unpleasant driving behavior. Perhaps one of you has experiences and tips, would help me very much! Thank you.

  • What NATO bone?

Moinsen, one question only indirectly to the G: I have a boat with a 2.2L diesel engine, Lima makes 80A at 12V. I would like to be able to switch on and off the minus cable from the engine to the starter battery. I think of a Nato bone. Only there are quite a few. The most common is from Hella, who is allowed to withstand curatively 1000A at 24V, permanent load is given with 50A. Can I take it? And, could I also take it for my G270? I regularly forget to remove the ignition key. before, so my batteries like to die the early deep discharge death (I drive the only one or two weeks). Greetings Carsten

  • Description OM 646

Hello! I am looking for an optical description of the components on OM 646. I imagine that all components are named on a picture of the engine compartment. I am a diesel-newer and would need some start-up help. In “Now I help myself” I have such a thing of my M104. Or would that be there in the issue of the W211? Does anyone have these books? As you leave it, this book and “So wirds wirds” shouldn’t be particularly helpful … Thank you!

  • Switching from SLK to Smart Convertible – should I really do it?

Hello together, certainly we one or the other with my thread title tremendously shake with the head. Just think seriously, from my SLK200K Edition 10 BJ 02.2007 to a Smart Cabrio with the 84PS machine and Pulse equipment with Brabus package. The background is explained quickly. Bin MB factory member and must now leave my follow-up order for March. The SLK is already a really nice car and is also a lot of fun. With a SLK follow-up order I would au The smart would cost me a good 250€/month or 3000€/year less and find this a lot of money. So the question arises, how much “less” or maybe even more driving fun does the smart offer? My wife drives another 102 hp golf, so it would be the end of 230 on the highway. But for transporting the golf is certainly enough. Look forward to your opinions and comments. Maybe someone has the comparison of both Vehicles, unfortunately, only know the old smart…

  • Water circulation pump SLK 230K R170

Hello together, have here again a short question about my SLK. The FZ has installed an electric auxiliary pump which has in the meantime blessed the time (I noticed during the diagnosis, otherwise no effects can be detected). As far as I can see, the pump is exclusively for the residual heat usage with switched off engine to heat the interior with switched on ignition and activated “rest button” at the climate control. umpee also any further sense/tasks? Reason for the question is, I do not use the FZ in winter anyway, so I need the pump, if it is really only used for reheating actually not. Thanks in advance

  • Control chain?

Hello all, my slk 200 didn’t jump after work, tried not to bridge. Next morning he jumped quite normally. Esp lit up, drove into the free workshop, error read out. There were over 40 error messages, including camshaft control. Mechanic says that it is the control chain. What I don’t think was driving with it all the time without problems, if it is the control chain, I would have had problems with the ride. location
