Hello Sl Friends For months I’ve been looking forward to my steering wheels, the steering wheel has been with me since 09.2015 and should actually be in my old 500s. Now in the new 55s it was time to dispose of the Omnibus steering wheel. My aim is again to install the interior for the future visually on too fresh and future-proof. So this year I was the first on 01.03 at Performance 77 (Müslüm) to have the conversion carried out. I have now tried to dokum This was not so easy because of the large circumference. It was necessary not only to solder the electrictrics completely, but also mechanical conditions had to be changed with the dehmel. It is very expensive to adapt the paddles with this steering wheel type, because here was made among other things from a clasper an opener. Also the tachorings were replaced .. already with my old 500er I had done this measure and find the mopf tachos still around worlds b In my current 55’s I didn’t find the silver inner panes suitable either, so they also had to turn against black ones. I am a professional construction manager of electrical engineering and build transformer station with personal and external personnel. Therefore, I have a lot of experience about manual work. These works here, however, are still one step above it. Müslüm has done everything with absolute perfection. Even the buttons were meticulously checked exactly after the soldering mechanically and electrically. So here I take my hat off in front of the absolutely perfect disassembly and execution . !!! Class very competent R230 specialist!!! Also the environment was again great. Mike and Michale from the forum were also there and there were some things to tell and laugh about. I can only recommend everyone who was not here yet should visit the Sl specialists at any time after the Installation I drove home around 8 pm with a whole other Sl 55 AMG! You can describe this in words badly but not only the look also the feeling is different. The steering wheel is great in the hand !!! Hammer !!! First I set the pictures before / after And then the conversion Beautiful greetings from Wiesbaden Stefan

Distinguished S- and CL-Class “Tuning” Desaster
Hello, wanted to open a collection thread in which everyone can post the most ugly tuning catastrophes in his opinion. If we can post several pictures then let’s get started. I start with a C140. Forget to write: Please only post Mercedes and above all S and CL. Disasters of VW and BMW 3s can be seen every day.

Interior filter Mercedes W126
Hello 126 friends, I wanted to change the interior filter of my starship for a long time. Unfortunately, I can’t find any information about it on the internet. I’ve even read that I shouldn’t have one, but only 126 with climate. I don’t have a climate in mine. But I have to have an interior filter. The maintenance booklet also says: every 120000 km the activated carbon filter is changed. Is that the same or? Where does it sit in the vehicle? Thank you for your contributions! MfG SirQuickly

W126 – ASSISTANCE ! – Wheel screw sits bomb-proof…
Hello Fangemeinde! Unfortunately I tried to get rid of my bike in vain today… Is probably in the workshop with the previous owner so strongly tightened that I can not get a screw(Alu) from my original MB-Alufelge. I tried to solve it already with hammers on the screw head, unfortunately in vain. Officially these should have been tightened with 110Nm, but was probably the terrible air compressor screwdriver. -WHER would have a tip for me, like I the bikes Would there be a trick, perhaps with refrigerant or something like that? I am very grateful for your hints!!!

w126 ASR
Hello together, the following question: if you pull off the connector of the ABS/ASR control unit (seat in the engine room in front of the windscreen with a large plug) with the W126 with ASR1, does the cruise control still work? In order to get on with my cruise-egas problem, I absolutely have to limit the causes of the errors! @ Jörg I hope you read this: Moritz and I spent a long time with my e-gas on Sunday. We got a little further, but still stuck. here my question: For my sake you pulled off this plug with you and the cruise control still worked. Is that really true or did I bring something into it? If so I can ignore my ABS/ASR control unit and all the parameters of influence on this! I think you have ASR2 but that should be equivalised with the ASR1? I would be very happy about your information, Jogi

Tempomat and ASR at W126
Hello together, Since the one of my construction sites is now completed (heating and seat back lock) and I will next expand the airbag steering wheel (must be restocked) I want to tackle two other problems at the same time: 1. ASR lamp constantly lights up and ASR doesn’t work either 2. the cruise control lever is broken off and cruise control doesn’t work either. Since the cruise control somehow works together with the ASR now my question to you: can I separate the two systems v My guess is that I’m going to make the cruise control run again first and then the ASR first? Do I have to/can I paralyze the ASR and test the tempomat? Generally, a search for errors in two cooperating systems is just bad. Would I be happy if I could get your expert advice. Greetings, Jörg p.s.@Moritz: I WILL MY ASR

Open and close window with FB
Hello, yesterday I wanted to close the windows with the key for the first time, because the big rain came… But nothing happened! Isn’t this function standard? Not to mention the roof… Is there an unlocking function or a module?

W140 S600 – What are you looking for?
Hello dear w140 community! A w140 S600 is supposed to be here. I have successfully finished my studies and the job is at the door (sure I will miss the student life ). I had studied in sunny Los Angeles for a year, what had to be done of course? Sure, a w140! I bought a w140 S320 (year of construction ’95) at the time and I have never been rid of this car since. For me it was clear that it must be a w140 again here in Germany. Of course, it is best to have a S600. you in general? Let’s leave the fuel and the maintenance (which certainly won’t be cheap) out and ahead. Of course, I would prefer one from the year 96-98 (so one of the “newer” models). Are there certain things you would pay special attention to? Certainly the machine should not have exactly 300,000km on the needle. 5 previous owners are perhaps not necessarily advisable! Would I be very happy if we could get a small/big discussion together here En. Looking forward to your answers! Greetings Julian
