Hello! I’m thinking about buying a SL 400 from 2015. I’ve been driving BMW for years and I want to change. I’ve seen that there are engines with 306 hp and 336 hp. Where are the differences? What are your experiences about vulnerability, repairs, service, etc.? What service costs are coming to me depending on mileage? I’m also happy to take tips on the must-have equipment. Which models do you think are value-stable or does the value almost fall due to the facelift? I have seen that there are good 2015ers for just under 70,000,-. If you watch vehicles from 2012 these are still traded with up to 50,000,- and vehicles from 2010 still cost 35,000,-. Is this all realistic? Thanks in advance for your tips!

Your opinion on this C140
Hello, after my previous search for a C215 was only partially successful I have extended my search a bit. Since I want to drive with the car quite normal a heater is mandatory for me. What do you think of this offer?Carlsson C140 And then immediately the decisive question after: Can one undo such a lowering again? Or is there anyway everything completely tinkered … The pimped tail cover does not quite meet my taste, but with it I could still live. Any meaningful opinion is welcome lg, Jens Edit: link now (hopefully) correct

S-CLASS W 140 – TOO TIME?
Hello, since I want to find out at the moment whether a W 140 is the right car for me, I want to know if you can use it nowadays, the market launch was already 1990, thus driving, rather than someone with a slope to waste, or rather a little sausage, which can not even afford a contemporary car. Anyway, with all the spookyness that the line of this old S-Class brings with it, I find that it is also a very elegant car. The driving comfort is probably still impeccable even according to today’s standards. Does anyone have more precise knowledge of whether the crash safety, which is inherent to the W 140, also withstands comparisons with the average level of today’s newer vehicles? Or was this Mercedes only considered to be a particularly safe car in the 90s, because it is so difficult? Thank you very much! T. C.

Oil exchange intervals R 107
To all rare drivers: How do you keep it with the oil and other changing intervals? I only ride in summer, only very occasionally in nice weather and never short distance. Come together max 2tkm/year. With my other seasonal vehicles I have changed the oil every two years so far, which looked almost the same when draining as when filling. Brake fluid every 3 to 4 years. How often do you take the change?

Purchase advice to the SL (R129).
Hello guys, after long research I have now come to the decision to look at a W140 and to prefer a R129, also because this potential has later to become valuable and serves as possible value investment, but of course also to the typical driving fun of a convertible. Now there are of the R129 many model maintenance and also engines. As I have experienced are some of the year 1999-2001, so one of the last best. What do you think? Actually I wanted to treat myself to a SL 600, a This is why an SL 500 or maybe only one SL 320. Kilometer running performance should be below 100,000 km and a German or EU model. No desire for these Ami skids. What would you recommend me in terms of year of construction and engine? Just in advance, the financial as well as maintenance does not matter. Price I imagine about 25,000 euros. Should I think possible. Thank you very much, Sead

SLK 230K, automatic selector lever cannot be switched
Hello, yesterday with my SLK 230K, R170 on a small excursion trip and had to fill up. Until then everything was fine. After refueling I drove the SLK to the side and parked it to drink a coffee in the petrol station bistro. When I came back to drive again I could no longer adjust the selector lever of the automatic. After a few more breadless attempts I called the ADAC to help. The nice yellow angel examined the SLK exemplary, among others tension etc. The fault memory was also read out, but without success. Now I was referred to the emergency service of Mercedes-Benz. This arrived after a short waiting time and got the SLK so far in motion by releasing the blocking with a screwdriver next to the automatic selector lever in a intended opening. He asked me to follow him into the workshop which was only a few kilometers away. Now the SLK was driven to the pit and also taken from below in sight, just so the error memory was read out, without error detection. So now the screwdriver which was still stuck in the opening next to the selector lever was removed and replaced by a properly sanded screw to allow me to return home. Diagnosis : Switching background broken in. Can someone tell me what could be broken here or has someone from the forum fixed the same error. Thank me already in advance warmly about any help.

R172 250d AdBlue level
Hello, now with my SLC 250d over a year and almost 25Tsd km behind me, super car (please don’t again this evil diesel debauchery again). Comand Online (NTG 4.7?) was updated last month to the latest state of the art, have the workshop, because of the expected moon prices, but asked to leave your fingers off the AdBlue. Have a tank with car stubs. Can one tell me how to get to the AdBlue filling level info (yes, except screw up and put nose in)? In the service M I don’t get there either because of the ” hang-up button+Raute+1″, whether engine on or not. Thanks for every constructive tip and all early convertible temperatures even for not Vikings:-)

SLK R171 to 10,000€
Happy new year, I am currently looking for a Mercedes SLK R171 to 1000€. The vehicle is supposed to be a kind of “Sunday car”, i.e. not much is driven. On mobile/autoscout you will already find beautiful models for this amount, but understandable with high mileage. Since this model is already 15-17 years old (in this price category), what must be taken into account. Is there a kind of “Great Service” with components, which at this age / run performance For me it is important, First of all: checkbook maintained, TÜV new, car dealership for 1 guarantee, not tinkered (original parts), 1-2 previous owners Secondary:Automatic, Air Scarf. Anyone else a few tips ready? (Are these models rust prone?) What do I have to focus on during the inspection / test drive? Thank you in advance.
