  • Bosch injection pump C250 Turbodiesel broken. Which fits?

Hello experts, after my partout didn’t want to jump any more, I had to let him drag. He found that the control rod for the injection quantity control is stuck. In German: The good old Bosch series injection pump, which is considered “unkaputtbar”, is over repairing it can’t, just send it to Bosch to repair. I think rather of getting me a cheap used one. I already have an offer for the installation. But not from the My previous According to the green nameplate, the pump has the Mercedes original part number A605 070 1101 ER 0048. The one from Bosch is 0400 195 004. So a little googled and found out that there are two pumps to one and the same Bosch part number: My just mentioned and then another one with the Mercedes OE part number A605 070 1101 80 on a blue nameplate. I could get one of these cheap ones. But whether it fits too? According to the call on it would have to, but I prefer not to rely on it. With the exception of the type plate, both look the same. Can it be that the latter comes from the W210 E250 turbodiesel, which was built only for export? Could it fit anyway. Does anyone know more? Thank you very much! And always good injection wishes you Stefan

  • 21 inch amg and mopf2 rear with 65 biturbo exhaust system

Hello dear forum friends, I have dared to get to the 21″ ML63 Amg rims, and immediately the Mopf2 rear conversion with 65 exhaust system had to be done. For the rims the fenders and wheel runs (unfortunately) had to be arranged and easily pulled-otherwise everything worked out super. On the topic of driving comfort I have to say: I have presented it VIEL harder and more uncomfortable, but the car still drives very well and not too hard.Everyone who has driven a Porsche Gt2 or gt3 is driven si The exhaust system: From the loud strength only a little louder, but now the car sounds a bit more aggressive, a very nice sound with a wonderful V8 bollard. At this point, many thanks for the helpful tips in the forum that helped me with this conversion. Unfortunately, I could not wash the car for the photos because it rained. Since it rained. Sincerely from Munich Fari

  • hibernation, battery, engine start

Hello together, since I can not find a clear opinion for my question, I would like to get to the experienced season registered SLK owners ideas for the best possible hibernation. The car is standing since 1.11. in my garage with 3.3 bar air on 18 inch tires. Ctek Polar device connected until everything was green and then deducted again. Sometimes I push the car forward 50 cm. After a week then 1 m back to have the load not only on the tire. What i I have read here that you have to refrain from doing so. Is there anything against it? If so, why? Would you add something else? I have never had a car as a seasonal car. But please don’t discuss why the car is not driven all year round. I have enough spare parts to use in the cold season. Thank you in advance.

  • Is my 320 CDI coming into the years?

Hello dear people, here is a “special question about engines”: I have an E 320 T CDI Bj. 5/2000 (the one with the row six with 197 hp) which now has 125,000 km on the clock. In itself a reasonably good car. I bought it 4 years ago with 37,000 km. For a long time I have already heard a light “hadschen” during the engine run with approx. 1.200-1.800 rpm on a gentle drive, so whether a cylinder less compression, slightly unequal injection amount, emptied hydraulic shock cups or otherwise any As I said, it doesn’t sound like engine damage (thanks to God), but it never runs like this. At 37,000 km, I haven’t noticed that yet and over 2,000 rpm, this self-will is “covered” by the higher speed and the generally higher noise level. In summer, it’s a bit quieter with the air conditioning switched on, perhaps because the engine is more under load? From the predecessor, an E 220 T CDI (125 hp), which I have up to 100,000 km I remember that in a similar way. I always remembered a taxi … Now the question: Is this a normal wear and tear or should I have a look at it?

  • R171 – Steering stick lever loose – remedy ?

With our SLK280 the TÜV has today criticized that the steering stick lever is loose / loose. We never noticed before, if you pay attention exactly to it, the cruise control and turn signal lever move up / down by up to 3mm, if you press e.g. the turn signal lever against the stop. Now the question arises to me whether the MRM is loose and may have broken something, or if only one fixing screw has loosened over the years (I think it is unlikely…). I don’t have any documentation about the area and I couldn’t find any documentation about the fast ones either, I hope here for your experience values, or just from those who were already before the same problem and could describe a short workaround. Would be nice if I could fix this myself without great part effort, because Corona also ripped a big hole in my wallet… Thank you very much in advance – and should the topic have been dealt with already ( I didn’t find anything ) of course a link to it is enough for me. Best regards Chris

  • Change and enter tyre sizes

…for hardly any car there are so many possibilities for tire / rim combinations as for the G class. I just bought a 20 year old model and the reared tires were not registered. In the letter only 205/R16 104S were noted, which is today almost impossible to buy. So from the MB dealer, who handed me the current official G class tyre report without any calculation. (There it says that one has to have this note stamped by the dealer, that the New tyres with desired size 265/70 R 16 on standard rim 7.5Jx16H ET 63. Please note that the wheel box width is sufficient. After that, I am groomed from the tyre assembly with GPS control to the TÜV and have found that the speed indicator now fits exactly (the speed indicator must not be too low!). At the TÜV the rims and tyres as well as the wheel box were checked, because of the speedometer adjustment I have the TÜV examiner for test drive with GPS Invited, he waved off and carried out the change acceptance for 41,80€. TÜV slips with the vehicle papers, most registration offices do NOT enter the modified tyres into the papers any more, if necessary consult with his registration office. For extreme special sizes (e.g. 285/75 R 16) one must try with the “fulda report” his luck. Greeting Thomas

  • Coking of injectors

Hello, and Moin ,Moin Hab recently here in the forum, read something about the coking and not badly surprised about the damage that this can do.As we drive a 270cdi Bj2004 pre-mopf, I am now worried. What can be done to counteract the coking? Did our car actually want to drive longer, so I bought combustion improvements, which is normally used for heating. Now my question:Can the current engines tolerate the combustion improver? re answers in advance. Beautiful Greetings Gritlie

  • Winter SL with the two batteries?

Hello all SL drivers, how do you handle wintering (e.g. November-February) with the two batteries? 1. Possibility (and so it is in the operating instructions): Both batteries disconnect and separately charge/maintenance charge. 2. Battery maintenance device to the starter battery (without disconnecting) hang. Will the second (so-called “consumer battery” be charged? 3. 2 battery maintenance devices, each connected to one battery (without disconnecting)? 4. battery, sometimes the consumer battery (without jamming) charge? At the first possibility it is known disturbing that all calibrations (ESP/BAS, window lifter, Comand etc.) must be carried out when reconnecting, which sometimes does not succeed easily. So: How do you do it and what experiences do you have with your procedure? Thanks already now for as many tips as possible! rab2

  • Where do you go on holiday with your SL/SLK?

I’d like to know which of you are going on holiday with the SL/SLK and where the trip takes you. In August I’m going with my R129 (SL500) to the Cote d’Azur. The coastal roads are awesome. If there’s too much traffic I’ll start the Col de Turini, which is mostly deserted. Wish you a nice holiday! Philipp
