Hey together, I’m new here and I’m thinking about buying a SL 280. I have a few questions now. 1.) I heard that the 280 for the almost 2 tons SL is undermotorized is true? 2.) Would you like to buy me a SL from year 89 – max. 92. Do these cars have a few quirks or should I rather get a final edition what exactly is better? 3.) Was there a CD player already in the SL ( year 91/92 )? Have you seen a sl280 build year 04/95 almost 80tkm and almost full equipment Price: 16.900 ,-€ is this a good price? But am I not quite sure if it should be the 280 or the 320? What do you think? From when did the panorama hardtop come in person better than the slightly older ones. So: US lights, car phone, stand heating, leather, seat heating, Navi, E seats with memory function is a must for me in the SL. A short question still, was it available eig. at an additional cost that if you lock the car that the roof also closes? and when the roof opens? Hektor500

Density Vario roof incl. wind noise from 130 km/h
Hello together, I have had a SLK 200 year of construction 04/2012 since 2013. Since I own the car it drips in the front of the roof in rain. I have been to Mercedes several times, where the damage was treated only above surface. About 3 years ago one then renewed a complete sealing set worth 2,500Euro. Now it dripped in again at the same place and the roof starts to whistle from about 130 km/h. So again to Mercedes, there they have tested it all and they say, since must a new roof, costs 4,000 euros that I should bear. You have to be able to adjust that? I already know that I can’t do it myself. Has anyone ever had the same problem? I come from the area of Hanover. Does someone know a reliable workshop that knows Vario roofs?

SLK 320 jumps off and on only when you shake at it
I got the following problem We got the SLK. It probably didn’t start from time to time. In the workshop the fuel pump was probably already changed. Strange is, if it doesn’t start, if you turn the ignition the starter goes on but nothing happens anymore. If you turn up the car from the outside a bit, it starts up again quite normally. Shows then briefly the engine control light, which then goes out again during the ride. Then he drives a few days without Problems and again problem itself. Does anyone have the same problem or advice as I could go on troubleshooting? As the starter goes the battery will probably be fine.

Hello together, In another post the topic of “mutual greetings” appeared sporadically. Would you like to hear your experiences and wishes. I didn’t have the G for long, but in the short time I was greeted 80% by other “male” G-drivers. I also find this very nice and will continue to do so myself. No matter if I am greeted back or not. What do you say about it? Would you like that, or do you find it rather annoying? Drivers too? (Landy, land cruiser etc) If we all pull together, we could also do this in DE across areas. Mercedes 463 320G Built 99 Error code C1011 and Airbag ! Pin 30 ?????
Hello, unfortunately the ABS light and EBV light up when starting and driving. Star Diag connected error C1011 and Airbag Pin 30 so power supply battery changed – unfortunately no improvement does one of you know the error? Is there perhaps a known weak point in the wire harness? Thanks already Gruss Joerch

Sell G400D or not?
Hello, I need your advice, I’ve had a G400D since November 22. I love the car and I think it’s awesome. But now someone has offered me CHF 25,000 more than I paid for the G. Would you sell or keep the G? I mean that’s exactly the price difference to the G500 in Switzerland, which is also available here. In theory, I could buy the G500 without spending money on it. I really hate to give the G400 here, but if someone is ready 25k To pay more is actually stupid not to make the deal, especially since I don’t expect the price to remain stable, especially for the diesel. What do you think? Thank you for your advice!

Door lock rear door closes itself, guide extension door lock
Hello, I have read a lot of good hints here and have found no answer for my current question. I screw on my 2009 W463 to keep it in good condition. Some small matters gradually turn out to be more complicated. At the moment, such a problem is working and not coming any further. The door lock of the rear door causes problems. Sometimes it is closed by itself after closing the door. I have extended the door handle and more to observe n how the mechanism works and what goes wrong. By clicking the door lock trap, the door button slides down. You can also say the mechanism squats down and closes itself. When the door lock is removed, I can’t get any further. SL 320 Model 1997
Hello and good day, I’ve re-registered here as I have a question about the SL ! I can buy a SL 320 (model 1997, full equipment) which has driven say and write only 16000 (!) km. The vehicle is from 1st hand, checkbook maintained, 8 times matured, TÜV/HU new. Condition inside and outside like factory new. No scratches, no dents, nothing………, ok, tyres would have to be new due to age. The price is VB 39900 € (from private). What is yours, is the price justified ? Brake problem with SL 500 / R230
Hello, yesterday at about 200 – 210 kmh an emergency braking had to lie down and the SL started to “sling” and this on dry and straight road. During the night on the return ride (empty train – before the first screams immediately) I wanted to test this again. With a normal and also stronger braking it remains absolutely track-proof and stable. But as soon as you rise quickly and energetically on the pedal then it starts to sling again and the yellow triangular warning light in the tacho starts Is it normal with the SL, since the ABS has to switch, which one does not notice this on the brake pedal (pulse) or acoustic (ratters)? Today let off to friendly and check. Error memory of the SBC brake – NOTHING. Brake test stand – everything OK! After that just shrug at the friendly. Did someone already have this with his SL? Does someone know what it could be about? Greetings HOT1 PS: Tyre pressure is OK, wear image of the tires evenly (255/285 – 19er), vehicle has ABC landing gear.

Hello everyone. My friend and I had a conversation yesterday about the tires of the G. My ordered G I think once the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season installed ex factory.
