  • W220 battery empty… Help

    Hello, my father didn’t drive his W220 2 weeks because of vacation, when he wanted to open it now nothing went anymore… Then opened the suitcase with the closures (electric rear cover) and measured the battery, she still had 3.25 V voltage… Did they want to charge, but didn’t go anymore so we had to buy and install a new one. How does it know that a 95A battery is empty after 2 weeks?? She is also only 2 years old and never had any problems with her. lg Marcel

  • Tip – What do you think about an SL 600 Built. 4/93

    Hello to the experienced people here, I play with the idea of getting a SL 600 so built in 1993 (290 kW, 394 hp) for the summer months. I just find the car nice, technically safe also quite ok. Maybe later it can become oldtimer. Basically I don’t need to turn every euro around, but also does not want to produce a mass grave. Fuel costs should not matter, interesting are workshop disasters. I also don’t want to race but just cruising and fun. The corners next to accident-free are: less than 90000km (to be understood by the checkbook) new roof 2013. Brakes completely new Automatic transmission before 1000km overhauled Motor cable tree was renewed in 2014 Heat exchanger of the heater 2014. Both throttle valves overhauled. Can you buy this for under 20Teuros? I’m curious about your recommendations.

    Hello your car friends Have there an ancient 1971 R107 on the first ride after long years, no light on the instruments. Has one an idea how to do what. fuses okay – where is the lamp (what is it for one) and how do I get it, or can it be anything else if fuses okay. Thanks and LG jw

    Hello people, in my 320er, year 1997, the climate is out. The climate can be switched on, the compressor is running. That the evaporator is working is heard. The additional fans should be ok, because it bridges sporadically run. When the climate is switched on, however, the fans do not run. Even at higher temperatures. There is no cooled air.     Hi I’m looking for a new/used SL500 with AMG tuning. since I only recently became 18 and unfortunately have no such great idea of current prices (insurance, etc.. ) I would like to know from you how the prices for a new/bruched SL are ? and then the incurred monthly costs. don’t you wonder that I am only 18. have recently inherited a few tausen euro and wants to buy something from them now……. just a nice auto gruss Jim

    Hello I’ve been driving a 107 for 22 years, and I bought a R230 some time ago The following question concerns me since I’ve been driving open with this car: If the aut. closure of the roof fails: How fast can you close the roof manually? Does that work alone? Does anyone have real experience with it? Does one possibly have a tarpaulin in the trunk for the absolute emergency? Thank you SL-Helge

  • R 230, error indicator gear lever in P

    Hello together, I recently bought an R230 for hobby. When you open the driver’s door, the indicator comes in the instrument cluster: Put the gear lever in P. It is teeming. Detach the selector lever and the electrical part sideways removed. The thing disassembles. With a brush the board cleaned and reinstalled. Same error still. Platin plugged in in the car and the LED of the fork light barrier for the switching position controlled. Light was there. A used EWM in the network. ordered to try out, unfortunately the parcel driver had no desire to wait today, so EWM not delivered. So to pass the time the EWM disassembled again and controlled the forklight barrier and the magnifying lamp. In a barrier was in the depression of the lamp something different-colored . compressed air taken and carefully blown in. That stood a few fibers out. Carefully pulled out and a whole bushel of dust from it, which had nested in the light cave. M take care of it early and control it. Would be a small victory over the fault devil again.
