  • An embarrassment: Errors on the AMG website

    Sooo… now we want to see if someone from AMG is reading here. The following errors occurred to me ad hoc on the AMG website about 1 month ago. I thought to myself… “Hmmm… well, someone will notice that … and that will certainly be corrected.” … But nothing. The mistakes are still there. Apparently nobody is looking at their own website (because the mistakes are really obvious). Point1:”Dark tail lights white on the performance character of s SL63 AMG” Well… on the one hand, the red/black tail lights know that they are not white. Therefore, they also know nothing else. The error is already a long time on the website. And the darkened tail lights pointed (if at all) already to the performance character of the SL55 Mopf1. But that is of course nowhere. Therefore, the note(s) is allowed here that the word “instruction” is not “ss” and certainly not with “ß” screaming. bt… With AMG you obviously don’t see it like this:

    Was someone at the presentation and has experienced the tragedy ? The øAge of felt 65 joked over neck heating ,Diffusor uvam .   • SL 55 vs SL600

    Hello municipality, I have looked at several SL55 and SL600 in the last time. Actually, the decision was made per SL600. It just gets 90% closer to my driving time, even if on the other 10% of the 55s really makes more fun. And I write “actually” the 600 is a bit too high-legged. Can you change that? Ideal would be if you set a different value for Benzens on any ECU and it is 20 mm lower. Please don’t. misunderstand, he should not grind on the ground and become an “ant killer” but discreetly 20 mm lower would be already what. Is there any particular difference in operating costs? With tax and insurance they are absolutely the same and both do not drive with horse apples but petrol but what does it look like with the service?   • R171 BJ 2004 – Watch out for what?

    Hi, I have the possibility – through a friend – to get a SLK relatively cheap – about 600€. The SLK R171 BJ 2004 has approx. 110.000km, automatic, was driven only by an older lady, only long distance and is completely checkbook maintained. I have driven it myself already several times and I really like it very much. Only the sports seats, at least on the driver’s side, I find something uncomfortable (but good hold!). Otherwise it is really super fun in the curves, performance fin I don’t really notice anything noticeable when driving, but I don’t know how to do it so well either. Everything is a little bit tricky, but no more than other convertibles and fully within the frame. However, I noticed that the window lifter works on the driver’s side without any problems, but when driving up, the door shakes something. What could that be? My question is now before I buy it, what I should pay attention to. Is there anything that I need to do? How durable are such cars? 110,000 seem a lot to me at first, but are not so much for the car, at least according to what I read.

  • G 500 EZ 2004 Heat problem? Error ESC and engine control – workshop fails completely!!!!

    Hello G-Meinde, last Monday I drive home in the monkey heat and turn off the G as usual, everything normal. 1 hour later I wanted to drive away, does not go. my G in emergency run mode, no more gas and runs quite quietly in the stand gas. display ESC and engine control. So I brought the G to the next MB branch, did not pressure and left people enough time, a week. I gave another tip about the heat!! But the nice people go according to scheme F, yes not 1st step: Do not take gas So change gas control unit (poti). Test, shit didn’t work. 2nd step: Engine runs smoothly but we install an expensive new throttle valve. Test. oh runs again. 3rd step: I can pick up the car and pay €2000. Test. Oh shit. Same error as before. ESC error and engine control. G in emergency run no longer takes gas. The master is almost overturned with embarrassment. I gave in again a tip. The engine room cooks almost. 38° in the shade, in the engine room much more. My tip ESC control unit does not cover heat. Master ponders, yes we have to look up!!! 4. Step: I go back home and leave the G as a test rabbit, but I have written a complaint to MB branch office and threatens if they can’t tell me tomorrow what the trigger of the error is, I will have the car picked up and take it to a specialist company. Oh yes still w As. when I turned on the G he had unfortunately no round run any more like voher but vomited. Conclusion: They have scrapped a healthy 500 he engine.     On Sunday I had a spontaneous failure of the sliding roof. It was a bit open and could not be closed again, just open further. So on the way I looked at the safety plan and found that only the fuses and not the relays are marked on the safety plan. So that there was nothing really to be done on the way. At home in the garage I then dealt with the function of the roof and for every function of the sliding roof in the schematic of the rear control unit A relay found. Only in the relay layout of the rear control unit these two relays do not appear. Probably because they are mounted on the body. The self-help on the way (e.g. in the case of rain) would therefore have been no problem at all, if one had known the location of the two relays. Because water in the control lever module is suboptimal. After exchange of the two relays it was established that the locking relay is defective. The measurement later revealed a too high resistance of the coil. ch incomprehensible why on the inside of the fuse box cover the complete occupancy, as on the W163, is not printed. I took a photo of my rear control unit and labeled it. Depending on the equipment, the occupancy can vary. There are only 4 different relays installed in the whole vehicle and some of them also as reserve assembly. That means you can change in case of an emergency besides the reserve relay also a relay from an unneeded function. Sliding roof errors can be used with the relay from the rear wiper engine or with AdBlue errors the relay from the rear windscreen heater. For the fuel pump 2 reserve relays are inserted in the rear control unit and 2 relays in the front of the front of the passenger. The relay from the rear disc heater can be converted from the rear control unit into the front of the front of the passenger as starter relay.
