  • Restoration W 460

    Hello, after the TÜV examiner has prepared a valuation report for my W 460 short convertible, I would like to improve from condition 3 to 2 or even 1. After the body builder has removed or renewed the first sheet metal, the project becomes more and more extensive. The frame is ok but otherwise there is still a lot to do. Although the doors seem optically still in order, they are renewed after all. So if someone wants to restore 2 doors, please PN to me. When the car is finally finished, w Here is a picture from the Prince Forest, where we were stuck in the tumult and were rescued by two Dutch women in the jeep by the wind.

  • G500 from 2018 , Incontinence over sliding roof

    My G500 from 2021 is incontinent over the GSD . Was a few weeks ago from the DB branch closed by correct laying of the drain hose at the back right side ( probably had been moved from factory simply with a kink ). Unfortunately this morning (after first heavy rain and no visit of the washing machine since collection at the workshop) I discovered again moisture in the sky. The gentlemen at DB keep themselves a bit covered , but it must probably be with the series an internally known Pro blem sein . My question – does someone have the same model with the same problem ? It’s my fourth G , I’ve already made all (though I thought at least ) possible and impossible surprises with a G ??? happy me if someone has the same problem with the same series and possibly has a tip ….     Hello, I don’t have my G yet, therefore question in the round, someone drives 22‘‘ on the G450d and if so, what combination and size? Please also information if it has to be entered then, whether distance disks have been installed etc. Thank you

    Have electric G class – G580 EQ – but it does not seem possible to set up a digital key for cell phone wallet here. Does anyone know when this will be possible or to what extent there is trick I don’t know. VLD in advance!

  • G450d and 22 inch AMG rims

    Hello, I’m new to the group and probably this topic has already been discussed, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything about it. I would like to have the 450d registered with the original AMG cross spoke rims in 22 inches, there is a part report or other help for this. Mercedes apparently does not want the wheel/tire combination to be driven on the ‘smaller’ models, although technically on the axles is all the same. I have the AMG package with the wider n Radhäuser already ex works. Thanks in advance for a message, or the link to a helpful chat. Greetings Frank

    Dear car community, I am looking for a useful organizer for my G-Class (built in 2024) for the trunk. Unfortunately, despite a long search, I did not find anything. There are useful organizers for older series, but not for the series from 2024 (W465), which is also because the proportions of the trunk in the 2024 model have changed considerably.   • G63 – Active Ride Control poltert

    Hello to the round, my G has installed the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL. Now I have an irregular bump when driving over bumps (pitholes, joints, etc.) in addition to the normal chassis noise, as if a component is hitting or playing. I do not know this noise on other Gs or on other vehicles. Does jmd. have the Active Ride chassis and can report or has jmd. an idea what it might be? Best regards!

    I am the proud owner of a beautiful, elegant and very high-quality G-Class, built in 2014. The vehicle had a price of about CHF 150,000 (in Switzerland) at the time of purchase and has always been driven very carefully and sparingly ever since. With around 140,000 km it was necessary to replace the engine (cost point CHF 35,000.00), but even after this exchange the car still runs excellently with currently 160,000 km. Unfortunately, however, rust is becoming increasingly noticeable, and d I would like to share my experience with the community. In numerous forums and discussions on the net it is repeatedly pointed out that rust problems in the G-Class are a well-known topic for decades. Particularly affected are often the windshield, doors, hinges and the underbody. It is disappointing that this problem still exists with such a high-quality and expensive vehicle. I would be very grateful if someone from the community who has similar experiences What solutions have been found? Was there any support from the manufacturer in the form of warranty or credit payments? I am willing, if necessary, to share photos of the affected rust spots of my car and to explain my experiences in more detail. Finally, I would like to know: Do you think that with a car as high-priced as the G-Class rust problems in this extent and in this distribution are acceptable? or is this insufficient quality? I look forward to your feedback and hope for helpful tips and experiences.
