Hello people. .My 500sl is 30 years old and due for the H license plate. Everything was great except for the original rims I unfortunately no longer have. Now I am looking for these I need them only for the acceptance at the TÜV. My rims where I have are from the newer SL. But those are not accepted by the TÜV. It must be the original of the 129 model series. It would be great if someone would contact me who could lend them to me for the documentation at the TÜV. SL newcomer. Some questions
Moin Together, I have been the owner of a SL500 for a long time. I had a C215/CL500 but it’s a lot different from that. I hope you can help me with my questions and that I can also provide input in the future and not only ask questions :-). 1) Rear cover Unlocking: When I open the rear cover over the key, it only jumps out of the lock and doesn’t open completely. Dampers from the lid are just new. Is that normal? 2) Rear cover up: When I push the HD up with my hand, it shoves quite nicely into the end position. What does the normal soft stop of the HD in the uppermost position? Are these small mechanical breakers in Mercedes? Or only if you get deeper into the ABC diagniosis….pump pressure etc. 4) Softclose: Would the pressure storage/bullen eggs of the ABC drive unit be open at a “normal” error memory? Or if you get deeper into the ABC diagniosis. 3) If you can’t open the Bluetooth cover in the first place.

R230 SL350 230.467 – Multicontour seat / Lordosis without function
Hello all, on my 230,467, no adjustment can be made on both sides via the switch of the multi-contour seats. The seat adjustment is without problems. I hear something clacking in the seat when switching – think it could be the valves. The small plug is connected to both switches. Furthermore, there is a pressure line with integrated in the cable harness at the switch. This pressure line is not connected on both sides. In the area I also find no connection possibility. Who has information for me, how is the system built up, from where comes the pressure, where sit the components, on what is to be paid attention? Thank you and greetings Willy

Mercedes Benz CLK (C209) or SL 350 (R 230)?
Hy Community! I would like to buy a new but used Mercedes for myself. I would like to buy either a Clk (4 o. 6 cylinders) or a SL 350 (most probably from year 04) My big question is: Is an SL so much more expensive in maintenance (especially repair costs) than a comparable, or a slightly weaker CLK? According to my previous research, the differences in the costs of car tax and insurance are quite small (e.g. CLK 280: tax 202€, insurance 554€/year – SL 350 tax 256€, insurance 593€/year). And when it comes to consumption, the difference between two cars equipped with six cylinders should not actually be large either. So my final question: Why CLK drive if the SL is obviously not much more expensive? (loss of value and the benefits of a four-seater and a two-seater left out) Would I be very happy if one or the other might be able to help me with this big decision with his knowledge and experiences.

no error message, but distronic does not respond
Hello S driver, my Distronic makes me feel sick. Preceding vehicles are not recognized.Have made me smart here in the forum. At the adjustment it should not be lying, I am sometimes a little rehts, sometimes a little left to the previous driving at approx. 120 km/h. Preceding car is not displayed at all on the display. Sometimes a car is timed, inside at approx. 15m distance. Personally it seems to me that the radar device has too little power. 1. Is Distronic broken despite no error message? 2. Distronic often reports, sensor clean. 3. Warning tone when driving too close up never heard. I would be grateful for your experience. MfG

Ride them yourself and am very satisfied. So if you have to drive almost never on snow, you buy a top winter tire that is allowed up to 240 km/h. Important are not the snow – characteristics, but that the insurance can’t do anything for me, since they are winter tires.

I’m currently driving a W211 and there’s at least one new problem every week. I’m starting to start thinking about buying another (reliable) car. I hear the W220 Mopf is supposed to be the last Benz with the old Mercedes quality. Is that so?

SL 500 leaky damper, but still get TÜV?
Hello, bought in the fall a SL 500, which got the car on stage when buying from the Dekra at a Mercedes dealer. The purchase ran through a car broker, which also closed a warranty for the car. Yesterday at a friendly mechanic took the car on stage (since purchase in November he was logged off in the garage and was not moved) and did not come out of the astonishment…. Shock absorber at the rear left totally oiled, drips even on the ground… All 4 cross handlebars at the front soft….must be replaced.. For a car with almost 117 tkm so far normal, just wear. But what annoyed us, that he got with these defects TÜV (“without defects”. That can’t be true, or? Only the defective damper should lead to the fact that the examiner “njet” says… At the purchase we did not have the opportunity to look at it on a stage, but had to say that the seller had to look at the rest, the car is otherwise in order, check booklet and all the extras are working.
