  • Beeping/Fieping at 230K Built 99 / Electrical problem

Hello @ all, I have a strong problem since the beginning of the year that as soon as I turn on the climate it starts to fiep cruelly. Sounds really crazy. Meanwhile it makes this sound even when the climate is off. Think this comes from the direction of blower? Perhaps. Relay defective? The sound is apparently also speed dependent because when I step the clutch and it is going away at 800Upm. cupper I again is back after half a minute. Hl this is also gone and comes back when the speed falls. Furthermore, there is another thing that slowly disturbs me. When the climate is on and I turn on the light, the blower switches off completely. climate cannot be switched on/off. Circulation air no reaction. Light in the instrument board becomes darker. Only when I wait for the ventilation position to 0 place and a few seconds the ventilation works again. Platin defective? Relay defective? Thanks everything that can help me. .

  • ABS / ESP lamp at the SLK R170 lights up.

Hello, I drive a SLK R170 and also have the problem with the sporadic light on the BAS/ASR warning light in the cockpit. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: I start the car and the warning light lights up. If I turn off the engine now while driving and then switch on again, the warning light goes off. As soon as my car comes to a stop at the next traffic light, however, the BAS/ASR lamp goes directly on again. But as I said, the problem is sporadic. Sometimes the lamp also stays out, od It doesn’t even start at all. FIRST REPARATURE MEASURE: I changed the brake light switch during the Christmas days, but without success. By the way, the car did not require any recalibration afterwards. The lamp stayed out after the first ride and only lit up two days later. FEHLERPROTOKOLL: After that, I went to the Bosch Service Center to read out the fault memory. On the error log, the rear brake sensor on the left and the rear brake sensor on the left side of the brake. PROBLEM SEARCH: I find it strange that according to the protocol, both sensors should have failed at the same time and then also function at the same time, and then fail again at the same time. So, according to all logic, this is highly unlikely. I am also surprised that both sensors should always fail at the rear (i.e. left and right wheel sensor) at the same time. Especially since the ABS / ESP Lame is extinguished when I use the car during d After this action, the lamp will only turn on again when the car comes to a complete standstill, i.e. before a red traffic light. Is there possibly still a sensor on the gearbox that could trigger the error message if necessary? Maybe a corroded plug etc.? Every now and then I have heard of reasons like the car battery or the transverse acceleration sensor? If this had to be displayed in the error protocol! So, I This is why I ask for your expertise. Who knows the problem and knows advice or has a schematic that could bring clarity if necessary? Opinions, help, tips etc. – I am grateful for everything. In this sense best regards from Frankfurt am Main, Jens.

  • w221 deficiencies

hello I just wanted to ask if other 221 drivers might have the same problems with the vehicle: our s500 is now 12 months old about 13 tkm on the speedometer: the 7 g jerks quite violently while stopping/rolling out. and generally quite often and hard between 1st and 2nd gear in both directions, but means more downwards.– until now 1st time dc new software 2nd time dc has changed converters… result: rather more jerking multicontour seat driver, in the lean a cushion leaking, part is still exchanged t of dc-parts order takes 2 weeks! sliding roof never goes on a push of a button but always stops somewhere in the middle.—3 times have been re-standardized by dc– resultless brakes squeaking—dc has blocks in front and rear changed– squeaking no more cars goes next week again a few days. I’m now seriously considering a change. has someone already had experiences with it or could write the frame data of a change briefly here? thank you for eu he feedback

  • S-class engine conversion??????????

Hello and good evening to the forum! I have read a bit through the forum here and think that there are pretty good people and good tips here. Therefore my short-term drift into the forum. I would like to get your competent help or opinion with my possible project, because I am just thinking seriously about a motor and gearbox conversion with my S-Class 320Cdi Bj.02 (before facelift) so still with 197 hp. I would like to get the new 320CDI (224hp) engine from the current e-class and the corresponding gearbox have installed in my S-class. It is not about the conversion costs that will then come to me, also not about the pure installation of the engine/gear unit, my question to you applies exclusively to the technical i.e. electronic feasibility.!!! I am grateful for any usable answer!! Many D A N K ! ! Greeting to the forum. P.S. Would like to introduce me briefly ; I am 39 years, come from the Osnabrücker room , am in the Autom This was the first time in the history of the European Union.

  • I love with a 126

Hello, since I think the 126er has been a desirable car for a long time now, I think with a little more seriousness about a purchase. A V8 of the 2nd series has to be already, preferably a SEL, but I think this should not be the purchase criterion par excellence. Since I have no experience with the construction works, except occasionally, I need some input from the experts here. If you leave your fingers off the motorizations before autumn 87, see the 420er is the power difference from the 420 to the 500s so great that the 420s is not recommended (560s really doesn’t have to be)? What consumption do you have to expect from realissc, if you drive A) correct long distance at moderate speed (holiday trip to France, which is to be done once or twice each year) and B) with the calm but not creeping driving in rural areas with routes between 20 and 5 What are K.o-criteria in the car (I am looking for what will not be a permanent construction site, but rather take me for myself mainly by technical reliability) – according to my previous experiences I have to say: airbag and sunroof are negligible (except he would not have a climate, which I would then consider if it were an offer that cannot be dropped out), and el. window-roofs do not even have it (can be cranked). Oh yes. Le it falls flat when third series, because I don’t like the door coverings at all. Would be nice if someone could give me some tips.

  • W220 Switch fixed installation phone?

Hello, I also have to give you the spirit again because for a long time VF and their Twin-Card bothers me! The problem is that I have a K800 and just the car phone of Mercedes (believe code 354). If both phones are on and I turn off the phone then I am no longer able to reach for several hours on the car phone. Sometimes it is enough if I call someone with the car phone that it then works. Then I have to turn it off so that it can re-select and it I’m so excited again today that I called the customer service of my telephone provider again and there they told me it’s on the car phone and an old telephone standard?!?!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want every phone to ring when it’s on and when one is turned off not the other one is silent for hours. Have the week now also spoken to my workshop and I was asked to It is said that I need a different telephone control unit and partly new cabling only to have a telephone a la Nokia 6310i. To do this, I have the uncertainty whether this will work as I hoped and at a price of at least €800. But you didn’t know directly about the strange log-in behavior of the Mercedes/Nokia fixed-mount telephone. I hope someone can show me a possibility here. Ega l what main thing I have 2 phones with a number that, when they are on, both ring. In the past there was an extra number for the “pink giant” at the Twin-Card for a Sim which was by a number higher than the actual phone number. But I think I deleted that everywhere without replacement because that was absolutely great. Well, see how the topic will end! Vllt. “MESSE” we get a new mobile hardware for the phone contract mfg Freddykl

  • Battery change at the W 220

Since I have had a completely empty battery in the last few weeks 2 times in the morning (with all the theatre due to starting aid ADAC and so from the engine compartment, since even the boot or the automatic selector lever did not work anymore), I would like to change the battery now. I have to find out that I can not even expand the battery. The maintenance booklet describes very lapidary that nut the bracket should be loosened and removed, but: I cannot discover any bracket, the battery sits as if cast in her place, nowhere to see a fastening. Behind there is still a plastic / foam covered part that I can not identify (floor heating? a part for the air suspension?). Can someone with a same model (S 320 CDI L, full equipment) please give me a tip on how the battery is removed? Many thanks to all and many greetings King Lion

  • W140 or W126

Dear Starfriends Ride, highly satisfied, a 300 SEL (W126). Now I have the opportunity to buy a top-notch (wholeless service booklet of course), unbasked, 300 SEL (W140 – with 3.2 liter engine) – built in 1991, nearly 160’000 km mileage, leather, climate, airbags, automatic antenna, etc. What it does not have: heatable front seats, electric seat adjustment – although the latter does not bother me at all; admitted, the heating function is useful. I know and have studied them. I am particularly interested in opinions of MB drivers who know BEDE series. I am not a frequent driver (monthly approx. 500 kilometers). Twice S-Class doesn’t have to be, one vehicle is enough for me; so I recently sold my 300 CE-24 to a good friend (and MB fan 100 %). I thank you very much for your assessments! Best regards TAKIS
