Hello, I want to buy a battery charger for my G 450, and would take a CTEK. Can you please tell me which type and model is useful and the right one is ? First I wanted to order the MXS 5.0, but a colleague said that it might not work and could be too small. Thanks already in advance for your answers.

G500 V8 4.0 M176 Ribbed belt
Who of you has ever changed the triangular belts of generator and air compressor/servo pump with the G500 with 4.0 V8 M176 engine (2015-18) ? I wanted to look at the condition of the two belts, but even that didn’t look so easy. From above you can see nothing, only sideways and from below you can see a bit of the belt. Whether you really have to dismantle the entire front and cooler package in order to change straps, tensioning and turning roller ? I have really found nothing on the Internet. G-russ Dennis

Consultancy G 270 cdi lang Please
I would like to buy a G270 long. Price range up to 30,000 euros. Offered vehicles have KM running capacities up to 250,000km…. I would like to use the vehicle as a daily coach and once in the year 2000 km highway with 2t caravans to the south. terrain rather less. Therefore the following questions: IS the G 270 cdi Lang overhauts as a caravan towing vehicle with 2t trailer and 100km/h registration as well as 5 people in the towing vehicle to use. 100- 105 km / h he must run dynamically on the train. e do you value the lifespan of the vehicle and components such as engine and transmission?? If it was previously maintained as a “private vehicle” and regularly? I think the load will be higher than in the ML 270cdi…or!? Is the G still good with the mileage for 100,000km without which it is “waste” afterwards!? Does anyone know a guarantee-safer who still insures such a vehicle? Seriously! I drive 25,000km a year and would like to drive it 2-3 years and then sell it again. n DANK!!!!!

Rear registration plate on the G (W463)
Hello and good evening together the left blue G is mine 🙂 I have a problem with the rear license plate It should be gone, because 1. I have already torn off number plate lights several times when descending from the roof tent 2. it unnecessarily restricts the ground clearance. Was not yet really a problem, but can still come AND 3. the crew of a vehicle in silver/blue today meant “that must be gone” “back license plate may not be attached to the right” (I did this after the left edge of the license plate must not be on the right side of the vehicle center or so) First of all, the short question: Does someone know how to attach to the G in this way? The car is an import from Switzerland. And of course there is nothing in it. The double AHK is registered. Where do I make it like this? 1. As a two-line license plate in size 250x200mm on the left at the height of the G300 lettering. best WITHOUT a lot of drilling, or as noble as possible… e.g. with a holder made of stainless steel etc.. Would I possibly attach large-area adhesively with an industrial Velcro tape. 2. One-line above the rear door as with the G Professional? I find the original holder expensive and ugly. Would build something for me. Although I still don’t know how to fix without drilling much. In addition, I exceed the height of 1,200mm, which I can only exceed if deeper attachment is not possible. 3. On the rear flap/in the spare wheel on a storage compartment, which I still want to build into this one? A disadvantage would be the cable guide in the lid of the storage compartment. Does anyone have any ideas? EDIT: Don’t know what had happened to the title either.

Reserve wheel canisters
Hello together Please use your help again… Is there a spare wheel canister specific for the G, i.e. which can be fixed in the G spare wheel cover or in the spare wheel? Could find on the fast nothing… Most spare wheel canisters that are available will probably not be suitable – since these are in the center of the spare wheel, through the spare wheel mounting screw in the trunk. I don’t know… maybe there is also a kind of adaptor plate with e in the middle of the threaded rod which fits the G spare wheel fitting – and you could screw a normal spare wheel canister in the middle of the G spare wheel…? Thank you in advance Greetings Donnergott

Attach daytime running lights – but where?
I’m thinking of installing TFL. Please don’t discuss the for and against. Does anyone have an idea where they could be mounted on my vehicle From design I find it most appropriate in a line between main and fog lights. Why do I have any problems with this? See picture: At the “traditional place is not possible. There the lamp is hidden from the front bar I see now several installation locations: – Over the foggers in the bumper. But: I have a steel bumper. Drilling is and conserve is therefore somewhat more complicated than with plastic and the luminaires should possibly be removable without large holes – Before the radiator? there disturbs me the position in the airflow, the design and that I can not mount it there, because too far from the vehicle edge and too close to each other. At the lower end of the bumper? There bothers me the restriction of the front embankment angle It actually only remains on the bumper over the neblers? Then it has to be a properly it’s headlight housing? Not only what to put in holes where cables come out in the back. Where is there something suitable? Maybe someone has already solved this by themselves Thanks and nice Sunday LG, Sascha

Mercedes G-Class CABRIO 463 rare pre-series showed up!
I was recently offered a strange car more or less. It is a very rare pre-production vehicle, which was built for homologation and was fitted with the 230GE engine No. 10. Actually, Mercedes never gave pre-production vehicles into the market at that time as today. Most of them were dismantled or even destroyed after the various tests and acceptances. However, this convertible could be a Mercedes employee from the strategic area due to The car has been in his possession since 1990 and has always been registered. Mercedes had driven around 1100km himself to the car in the course of the tests. The owner has only driven 15,000km on the car in the last 25 years! “Everyone” km is documented, of course checkbook maintained. The car is in a correspondingly unusually good condition. I like the car very much, but I can’t judge what such a thing is like. I felt a bit pre-feeling and got the impression that you are talking about orders of magnitude in the direction of 60,000€, which I find too much. Can that be, or is there someone crazy???? Is there others here who have the experiences with pre-production vehicles and can tell me what? How expensive can a 230er be, even if it is good. I am very happy about serious comments. That this is a lot of money, is also clear to me, so please no P olemik here in the forum. It’s definitely a collector’s car that you can’t compare to the usual market. So I’m looking for the comparison to the exotics. Thank you! Greetings from Stern to Stern, Rolf Brettschneider

SL 55 AMG – Mediator
Hello together, so the first hurdle is taken, I’m sure that the SL 55 AMG is the right car for me. But where to order? I have two dealers “taken into the flaw”, but more than 5% as new cars and 8% as daily registration do not seem to be in it. On the Internet there are various intermediaries who want to grant a discount of about 18% (as daily registration). I have two questions for this: 1. According to my information, a MB or DC dealer has left on a car 12.9%, like ka nn then someone on a German car grant 18% discount? Well DC gives dealers a bonus on registrations, but that doesn’t really fit together anyway. 2. Does any of you have experience with an intermediary and can recommend it? I already have one in the forum that you should not refer to, because you simply can’t deliver. But probably there will also be serious ones? I am happy about every answer, so first of all thank you. Greetings To rst

Slk R171
Day! Did one of you already have the opportunity to drive the new SLK? In my opinion, it should now also be uncapped as a test vehicle. Probably I will come to the pleasure next weekend! I hope at least! About soon answer I would be happy!

Switch from SL 500 R 231 to an AMG GT or GT s
Hello municipality, I am driven by the thought that I want to exchange my SL for an AMG GT or GTs. Purchased at the Mercedes dealer, it should be a used one, best with young stars guarantee. My question to you: Who can give me some tips on what I should urgently pay attention to. – which year of construction – how it stands with the colors, is a matt lacquer very vulnerable – it may also be two previous owners – makes the s variant more fun or suffices the GT – which equipment must in any case – which seats should it be – etc. Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to your answers VG Klaus
