  • Tires R230?

    Hello, currently riding the following tyres on my SL 350 R230, year 2008. Front 255/35 19 Rear 285/30 19 When buying the Yokohama Advan Sport V105 were mounted. Can not give any information about the mileage. My tyre dealer recommended and mounted the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3. The first rear tyres were changed after 8365 km, the front tyres were still good. Now after another 11418 km the rear tyres are again at the border, front tyres are still going. e Cruiser, which tires can you recommend me with good mileage? Will you raise 4 new tires for the season 2025, what experiences have you made? Thank you for the informative answers Greeting Dieter

    My tailgate opened more and more heavily over time. One had to lift it up in the end. At the last service with the friendly one it was said: oh ever, there have to be all the dampers out, that is a huge effort, that is expensive. So you left it. Today it got too stupid for me, am at the friendly to sell parts and see there: both parts together cost 27 EUR incl. VAT. The installation is done in 3 minutes, the things are only cracked! Now it does again like new. Int It is interesting that there are probably two numbers for the same original part: A1729800264 and A1729800464. Both look the same, the same manufacturer (Stabilus), both 400N. FAZIT: Unfortunately you sometimes get really nonsense told by the friendly one. What you can do yourself saves some clearly money.

  • SLC 43 AMG purchasing advice

    Good day together, I’m pretty sure that I’ve asked this question in this forum, but I can’t find this topic in my account anymore. So the question again. I’m currently driving a SLK350 R171 MOPF. And I’m thinking of swapping it for an SLC 43 AMG. If you drive such an SLC 43 or have been possessed or driven, you can write me your experience. Are there any topics that you should consider when buying a used one? My current SLK 350 has been driving for 8 years and except for inspection and normal wear parts, I have never had any problems with this vehicle. I had already thought of buying the successor as SLK 55, but I think that the SCL 43 is more dynamic with Turbo. The SLK is my second car, mainly I drive a Golf 7 R Facelift, with which I can be sure that the SLK 43 is more dynamic with Turbo. I’m happy.

  • MOPF CONSTRUCTION

    Hello R-Class municipality, now is finally so far, my new R-Class finally arrived in my workshop. After endless 10 weeks the good piece had found the far away from the USA to Germany. Once again no container was free, therefore the good piece was still 4 weeks in the Haven. After the successful conversion of my Sl 55 AMG 2008 already on MOPF I want to venture now to the R-Class. if you are interested I will gladly keep you with the conversion on d I already have some pictures of the first conversion measures, you can look at them in the appendix.   • G350 BT motor control light (yellow) repeatedly on!

    Hello everybody! My G350BT will be 3 years old next month, I recently had the current 60,000 KD made. Last week the yellow engine control light went on, but I noticed no restrictions when driving. According to the manual it could be something with the “speed sensor”. I called the workshop and then left the car right there. In the evening came the call “sensors have to be changed, the coming tomorrow”. Obviously also in the workshop in the operating handbuc h looked, yellow people = speed sensors exchange. The next day I got the G back. Two days he drove without a yellow indicator light, today, on the trip to work after about 3 km, again the yellow indicator light. Again no restriction at the performance. MB called, “they bring the vehicle by”. As I know MB, from painful experience between 2000 and 2003 with my convertible, now the game “we just exchange everything that can be exchanged” probably goes off again. O I am too pessimistic?
