  • W220 Mount rims, which widths possible?

Hello. I am now the owner of an absolutely rust-free S320 CDI with the fullest cabin… I have mounted at the moment 19 inches Lorinser LM wheels, but would like to mount other rims. Front 245 40 18 on 10×18 ET 35 and rear 285 35 18 on 11×18 ET 35. It is Mariani Sportivo wheels, which I picked up last week from the paintr… Will it fit on the original coach? Does anyone have any experience there? Or do you have to have the edges changed? Thank you

  • 8×16 ET35 on W126???

Hi, have on my 126er (Limo) currently rial rims in the dimension 8×16 ET11. But since they are no longer the most beautiful, I would like to buy others – my desired rims are only available in 8×16 ET35 (or just in 17, 18, 19 and 20 inches with the same ET – the diameter does not matter). Do these rims fit or will they grind in due to the ET? There are not many rims that have a low ET – must also say that the 8×16 ET11 has a bit too far “r Thank you very much, Marcel.

  • Dubiosis PN’s…

Friends of driving behind the star, a few weeks ago I had a PN of a “user” who wanted to have information about companies who know about the ABC chassis or where I had my work done. Sure, I answered that the user profile was opened years ago, but hardly any activities… No response to my answer, even on requests. Originally I had asked a special company (completely removed) for the work, but I did not respond. Is it possible that behind some supposed “users” there are reading dealers/workshops, reading along here (sometimes?) and occasionally snooping around? In principle, no problem, who will call this horse and rider, if there is, for example, trouble, but quite well to know…

  • NewbieInn in purchase planning

Good evening, I can’t drive our E30 every day – too bad for rain and snow – says my husband !! But since I need a car and also want to have fun my eye on a SLK year 2005. I’ve already read a lot, but I still have a few questions to the knowing fan community !! Which child’s disease has possibly the model ? I have seen that the rubbers on the roof were very, very thick with vaseline ( ??) greased – is the winter protection or “quish protection” ?? The same applies to trunk separation from hard plastic – there are squeaky noises ? During the test drive I had the feeling that there is something squeaking. The car is pre-equipped for a telephone – has someone experience if an iPhon speaks with the pre-equipment ? Contrary to the many references to a tight steering, the steering was here rather softer – can this be at just under 100,000 km ?! Used car purchase is always a lucky thing – which repairs can make me wo Probably hypotetic soon? So, let’s do this first. I’m very thinking, is not really little money! I’m grateful for every tip. Greetings The Ella

  • How does the R172 go in winter?

Hello! My SLK will be delivered at the end of March, beginning of April, and I will drive it all year round. Now winter and my question is addressed to all those who drive their SLK R172 now: How does it go with it in the cold season? – I was advised to carry something heavy in the trunk in winter. Do you really have to??? – And … is the roof tight??? (from which I go) – And …. rear wheel drive with such a small sports car in winter is also (Despite all the electronic driving aids?) Would I be glad if you could tell me a little something!

  • Switch SLK R170FL wiper water pump?

With my SLK the washing water pump has recently failed its service. About inconvenient, if one thinks about the upcoming road conditions. Yesterday I already dismantled the front right inner fender and located the wiper water tank behind it. Contrary to an instruction for the PreFL then unfortunately the wiper water engine is not directly accessible, rather I could feel the pump rather on the other side to the passenger footroom. So my questions: – Is the pump mounted in the direction of the wheelhouse and it has dilute somewhere with me or is my guess that it is mounted on the back of the tank, right? Then the tank would have to be good for at least 2 different connection variants. – If so, how can I get to the pump? Yesterday evening I did not manage to get the container. ther including the pump after loosening a screw and lifting it out of a seat on the underside. It would be possible if I could pull the filler nozzle out of the container. – Maybe someone has a guide on how to replace the pump. Maybe it is only possible if you screw down the plastic threshold next to the inner fender.

  • Winter tyres for SLK 350

Hello together, I finally get my new SLK 350 on Monday. Unfortunately it’s still winter and I don’t have any winter tyres. I don’t have any tyres or rims. Where do you find complete bikes at acceptable prices and which tyres are to be recommended? Would I be very pleased about tips from you.

  • Vulnerabilities R170 – Purchase advice

Hello SLK-ler, we might want to separate ourselves from our A-Class and saddle on a SLK, R170. As I have already read, a mopf from BJ in the beginning of 2000 is definitely recommended. What one recognizes, I have already read to myself…. Since now my wife is on the road from time to time also with daughter (6J.), the question arises, whether one can also move on the passenger seat a commercial child seat? Where can the typical weak spots be found? Does the R170 also have rust on the T Which engine is installed with the 200, 230? M111 or M271? Our (main) criteria are as follows: – 200 or 230 – automatic – from mopf – up to about 70tkm – as rustless as possible and no heated box, prefer a well-kept second car with seasonal registration – up to €12000 Thanks in advance. Gruss, benello
