Hello, I found and bought a SL on Friday after a long search. Now a question? The temperature should always be a little bit over 80°. The indicator only goes after approx. 50 to 60 km to exactly 80° and after approx. 100 km it goes a little bit over 80°. What I want to say the engine comes only after a very long time to its operating temperature. What is defective there? And can I repair it myself? Thanks in advance for your help. Compressor doesn’t always want !!! SLK 230K Bj 99
Moin,moin Have the problem that the compressor sometimes doesn’t use to notice through power hole or stop when you look at it and increase threshold does not turn the disc with it, swallows itself rather. Is there a way to save something else on the compressor or can you say that the thing is gone? If I understand it correctly, the compressor switches on through a magnet, with increased threshold (by the “vibration force”, right?. Should you be able to repair it then how? ABC chassis in R231 it (change filter )
The filter from the R230 fits exactly into the R231. A003 184 61 01. According to specialist companies, you should change the filter every 20,000 km. I made it today with my R231 500. 0 problems. In the container 1.5 liter oil is present which should of course be changed. According to specialized companies, the ABC suspensions hold approx. 500,000 km if you make the change. Noise in the partial load range
Hello community In my SL400 (2017: 65000Km) I have a metal jauling in the partial load range, which can be heard in the ignition clock quite high frequency and unfortunately also very loud… (especially loud when right or left of the car is a wall (sound reflection) or something like that. The sound is best to describe as if one stirs with a snow broom in a large aluminum bowl, whereby the stirring is interrupted by an igniting synchronous ticking. 30Km/h in the 3rd gear, just in traffic with flow. If you stop, the sound is still running for about 1-2 seconds and has disappeared. With a short gas shock, it is easy to hear with sinking speed and at stand gas speed again disappeared. When giving gas or in normal driving there is nothing to hear. The SL drives completely normal, the sound is also normal except for this noise! It has nothing to do with the circuit or the driving mode because it can be heard independently of it. In my opinion, the sound is ignition/exhaust synchronous and behaves like a control or as if there is a control behind the noise. Had the SL with the MB service, but it did not detect anything! In an exaggerated way, MB says that everything that has to do with noises is measured with closed cover and windows. Then, however, there is nothing to be heard. My question to you: Is there a dynamic control process on the SL 400, which may have to do with the exhaust system (bracket control, catalyst or AGR) and can lead to such a sound problem? Does anyone have technical vehicle information on the basis of which they can get a modest overview? I only think further if I say MB where the problem is. The weather gets better and my SL hears itself in the 3 0-Zone like a large aluminum bowl on… Excruciating… ?… Thanks for your contributions Hans

My top scrubs on this component, how can it be removed or worked, so that the sharp edges are no longer present in this size. Service S & G or ATU?
Hi people, I am now just under 600 km above the last service. So it’s about time …. My SLK (first registration 2000) has been maintained consistently at Benz. Since Benz has always promised me a guarantee (including grating), but this guarantee has never been redeemed, I wonder if it still makes sense for my old car to have the service continued at Benz. Since I am a member of ADAC, I don’t really need the Mobilo guarantee (or as it is called …). Ben z now wants just under half for the large range of services over 600 € and ATU. I have only had good experience with ATU so far. Therefore, I assume that they can manage the Sercive properly. I am now interested in what happens formally with the vehicle when it is no longer brought to service at Benz. The guarantee would lose, would also the value of the vehicle decrease? The problem is that I still have an old phone inside, so not only a hands-free device, but with own car phone. I can’t use my orange card because the 1800 frequency doesn’t work. What’s the best way my iphone 3g da to connect to? I prefer to be able to control the music via the command center.
