Hello Mercedes friends , I drive a slk 230 compressor ,I like this car and has never let me down , however I liked the sl always better and now I start to think again if I should replace my slk for a sl type 129 , and especially with what a motorization since my with its 193 ps is quite flott will disappoint me the 300 rather and the step to a 500 is too big . I also think that a sl is more value-stable a Is a slk …………. what would you advise me sl or slk …. ? thank you for your reply lg

Engine jerks in stand at position D
Since yesterday, I have noticed that my G270 cdi is in a standstill/vibrating position when I brake, come to a stop and hold the foot on the brake. Speed indicator does not wobble. If I switch to N, it feels mechanically less strong, but it remains belligerent. I imagine that the empty number in N is slightly higher than in D. Otherwise, driving is completely inconspicuous. Sequentronic! Who has experience? I have the intention of getting an MB sports coupe with Sequentronic soon, of course only after a detailed test drive. But this is already clear: An automated manual transmission (and something else is not) can not be compared to an automatic transmission with converter. BUT! Sound argument for Sequentronic are beside the price (plays for a convincing STERN driver actually no role, hi) convincing advantages g egenover the automatic transmission: Since there is no converter, there is also no power consuming slip, the translation after a gear change between the engine and transmission is always 1:1 ! Moreover, there is no fuel consumption in contrast to the automatic! And last but not least, the full final speed as with the manual manual transmission remains available. That the Sequentronic builds on top of that and is lighter than the automatic transmission, plays at DER Gewichtsk Are I right about all of this? I would be interested in more experiences about this! Perhaps MERCEDES has played at Sequentronic again and made it even better! Has anyone already had experiences with a model from 2003? Write! Greetings, Thomas from F.

Hello, what experiences/information do you have with the life of the C230 compressor engines (w202). Drive an EZ 1999 with now 100,000 km (automatics), only long distance and all inspections. The workshop said that I would have to look for a new vehicle so gradually, because mine would soon be at 120,000 km and that is the “magical border”. SL500 (R230) does not open and close with remote control – middle armrest locked

R129 Deck does not open
Hello together, my cover on the R129 SL300 BJ 93 does not open. No error in the AI. Deck switch lights up.When you press to open, nothing happens, even the windows don’t go down.But you can hear what is switching (electric) but nothing happens. Coolant temperature cold wrong
Hello, a long-term silent reader has a question π I have a 98 SL 500 (129,068), currently still in hibernation. It starts very badly since last season, sometimes it even went out at the first meters. I then changed everything at the engine in winter, where I got good – vacuum hoses, seals, LMM, candles, cables, coils, injection valves, fuel pump and filters. Especially the hoses and seals were well worth it, the old ones were f As hard as glass. But it doesn’t do better to jump on. Then I noticed that it shows a water temperature of 65Β° before starting (when it’s cold), in AI and in the Star diagnosis. Coolant temperature sensor exchange has not brought any change, neither does it plug off. Cold he thinks it is at 65Β°. When it gets warm, the temperature rises slowly to 90Β° approximately, which looks plausible. The oil temperature shows correctly. The resistance of the old and new sensor adapts to the Table in the WIS (3300 ohms at room temperature). On the connector of the control unit I measure 7700 ohms, when it is outside in the cold, therefore I think that the cables cannot be completely broken.
