  • Automatic gearbox sometimes does not switch

    Hello Now, since we have the car, it has been the second time that the car has been stuck in a gear while driving. It no longer switches up and no longer down, even with the buttons behind the steering wheel, nothing changes.   • Electrical ignition lock defective

    I am one of those who get in, keys in and immediately turn around to stop. Recently I could find out occasionally that the R did not sprung. Turned back, tried again, jumped on.     Hello all! I have an R 320CDI 4-Matic Lang EZ. 09/2008 with meanwhile 250tkm. Unfortunately, now obviously a gearbox is causing problems. But the automatic transmission does not seem to be, because switching operations are impeccable. Actually only 3 transmissions (distributor gearbox, front or rear differential) remain. I exclude the rear differential at first, since the noises come from the front. Is there a way to determine if it is more the distribution gearbox t or could be the differential without having to disassemble/extend everything? In which driving conditions (accelerate, bend, accelerate straight ahead, start/accelerate curves) is it more likely which of the two gears it could be? Or is there anyone in the Darmstadt area who could help/hear that?

  • Again an unlocking door lock

    Moin, after 4 years old MB Abstinence, a W251 R 500 Bj.01.2007 found the way to my yard. What I didn’t notice yesterday when I bought is that the driver’s door is not locked. If I press down the pin when the driver’s door is closed then I have to lock the car several times and unlock it bits I can open the door again.     Hello have a real professional-connaissance question Right now I am really speechless and got to deal with the fear when I was in a Mercedes workshop today…I find a complete rip off, and the error is in my opinion a wrong diagnosis of those. Mistakes of my SLK 200 (no compressor) Bj 2000 (before the facelift): *Key pure, at the first switching position people all instruments quite normal BUT at once the fan goes on and if I want to start it in the second S stop position, he should start normal white, what he does not do !!!     Hello my father has been thinking about getting a SLK for a long time. He has already done a test drive with the R170 and 163hp (200k), which was a bit too slow for him. He himself is currently driving a C320 V6 MOPF and the same engine is available as much I know in the R170. He still varies between the 230k and the 320. What do you think is better?     Hello, I would like to buy an older SLK and don’t know me so well with Mercedes anymore – the models from 1998-2002 would be up to 11000€ in it only about engine variants say SLK 200 with 136hp with or without automatic. or like the 230 compressor, I have no experience about that.
