  • ASB + ESB without function, r makes full braking while starting, numerous error messages with readout

    Hello, I’ve had 2 messages on the display ABS for a few days, ESP without function tire pressure monitoring not active Driving was still possible without any problems, only now and then I noticed a creaking, similar to when I drive over a bumpy road and brake (ABS). Since today I can no longer drive, as soon as I leave, after about 10m the R suddenly slows down. If I then stop and start again, it goes again about 10 – 20 m. etc. Feels like the ABS / ESP regulate, but the message says that this does not work. Do you have an idea, or experiences ?   • Lock Switch Change Window

    Hello together. The switch to lock the rear windows of the R class on the switching pad on the driver’s side clamps at the control panel for the electric windows. The switch is manually and currently pressed in can thus no longer be pressed and unlocked. Is there a way to release the switch again or to take out the entire control panel?   • Door entrance lights change

    Hello together I would have a question: how do I change the entry lights on the door? I recently got a star projector that is installed on front and behind doors instead of the normal entry lights. However, if you look at it more closely, there are no screws or anything else to recognize to build the lamps out. Has anyone ever made that change the door entry lights? And could anyone possibly explain to me how this works? would be great. I’ve also looked if you wrote a similar post before, unfortunately without success the only post I found on the topic was from @rd350L4M who asked if someone knows an entry lighting. Sincerely.

  • R129 – Presentation / Question on residual values in financing

    Hello everyone! First of all, a brief description of how I come to you at all: I have a B-Class as a leasing vehicle at the moment, which costs me depending on the kilometers (about 15tkm/year) in the month about 400€ incl. taxes and insurance. Basically I am very satisfied with this car, but I find 400€ for an absolutely emotionless car meanwhile a little money. Since I am not regularly dependent on a car or access to company vehicles and the My girlfriend’s car, I started looking for a youngtimer. Here the C126 fell into the closer selection. I had to make the experience, however, that it is now enormously difficult to find a decent specimen with a few kilometers, little defects and a complete history under 10-12000€. In addition, a C126 from my point of view is somehow not a really everyday vehicle, with which one likes also long stre In this way I come to the R129, which, in my opinion, is no longer a youngtimer or a current used car. Relatively current technology packed in a design that is no longer up-to-date (but appeals to me), an attractive successor that presses the prices and a large range of vehicles. In my search, I initially have dealer offers between 15-25t€ from ’98-’01. Since I would probably finance the vehicle, I also took a look at the financing conditions. With a financing over 2 years with 30tkm of total running power, the financing computer goes from a closing rate of 9200€ (see attached screenshot). Of course, from an economic point of view (split prices, etc.) the purchase price can fall into one another, but so strong? In addition, with a relatively economical 320er?   • SL 350 R230 after longer service life no current !

    Hello ! After a longer service life my SL R230 2005 has no power any more. Both batteries are empty ! Driver door with emergency key opened without any problems, keys in the ignition and nothing happens. No electricity all dead ! Rear flap cannot be opened with the emergency key. I removed the starter battery in front and recharged (battery is full), reinstalled and connected and still nothing happens. I put the key in the ignition and it does nothing (a) I can’t get to the big comfort battery in the trunk. Otherwise I would have charged it again. I hope one of you has an idea how to proceed when both batteries are empty. Thank you!

  • SL65 AMG R230 Expulsion Cylinder 3 – Workshop without precise solution

    Hello, last week I had my SL65 AMG R230 EZ 2007 in the workshop, because the engine control light is constantly on and the engine is no longer running on all cylinders. After a short shutdown, the problem seems to be fixed, but the luminaire remains on. First diagnosis: Cylinder 3 stops. It is not on the spark plugs. Unfortunately, there is no plan. Now, according to the workshop, the ignition box and/or the control unit could be replaced on suspicion. Cost point approx. 2000 Euro plus installation. According to the workshop, there are experts who could better interpret the result of the selection as they themselves, but you don’t know one of them. In my opinion, they also have little desire to deal with it. I have now brought the vehicle back and am looking for a specialized (AMG) workshop, which is perhaps better or smarter. I am from the area Regensburg / Ingolstadt, postal code 93 or 85. Would also be far away I’d be happy if the diagnosis were safe. Of course, I don’t have a problem spending the 2500 euros for the corresponding part. But 4500 euros on suspicion of shooting into the wind is already a lot required.     Hello dear forum members, I’m currently browsing around at mobile something and looking for a SL 500. A facilft model from 2006 would be interesting. Now I’m falling for the different original navis have been installed. Some have the navi inside that were also installed in front of Facelift. Others have the inside that has also been installed in a 2008 model. At least it looks apparently so. I can’t imagine the two Navis installed in the same period word I have a brochure in which the new Navi is listed. By the optics the vehicle as well as the PS indication can be recognized that it is a facelift. Are the engines from 2006 already matured or should you rather choose a 2007 year?
