  • 300TD Bj.97 bucks

    Hello guys, my 300TD has been having problems for 2 weeks. He’s got new single-point nozzles because he’s been running rough. Now he’s quieter and doesn’t smoke at full speed anymore. But now the engine shakes between 1000 and 2000 UPM when it’s warm and the vehicle is standing. A kind of clack or nailing can be heard at 1200 UPM the loudest. In the interior when driving (with load) nothing can be heard or noticed. Full power is available. If I have the accelerator flogged at 2000UPM, At the start of the engine I hear a kind of scratching noise (about 1/4 sec long) which is then replaced by the normal engine noise. That was not there before. The workshop thinks that after that new single-point nozzles are installed, that the line-in-point pump is often defective. But why does the car then run over 2000 UPM and under 1000 UPM completely inconspicuously Who knows advice? Greetings Gerd

  • Cdi engines in the Andes

    I am about to go to South America with G 320 CDI. Passes over 4000 m altitude are not unusual there. Does anyone know if the engines have to be specially adjusted for this?? It would also be interesting to know how the quality of the power-off is there and how these motors can cope with it. I would most likely make out the particle filter. I am happy about any help.   • Oil channel problem, burn oil, casting skin W210

    Hello! Read here for quite some time in the background, but now I have to go to the public. Topic: Burning oil at W210 with M112. I think I have read everything that has been dealt with on this topic and have already done everything (deckel down, cleaned up, channels drilled, casting skin is not present, oil runs through the main channel clean and fast, so syphon is not a topic,or?). Problem is still there! 5-10 sec. so much that everything stays behind me, which is understandable at 1 m sight. Pro “Wolke” go about 0.25 l of oil through the exhaust. If you put your finger in the tailpipe it comes out black, damp and oily again. Workshop also has no ideas, however after a test drive, the Benz pulls badly. Precaution: Vorkat closes, engine does not get rid of exhaust gas, pressure build up in the engine through blow by gases and already he sucks oil again…. What do you think about it? My question now to you is worth spending the overhaup so much for the older model? 2. would I like to know how your maschinen pull so?
