@ All, with my 350 BT the motor lamp lights up. Lt. friendly it would be a defect of the NOX sensor in front of the cat. He said this must be exchanged and then all two are exchanged (one sensor in front of the cat and one sensor behind the cat) Unit price over 530 € plus installation. The expensive on the sensors is the ECU that is with a cable on the sensor with it. Now I have researched something and found out that in 99% of the defects the ECU is not defective. Now my question has someone here already changed the Nox sensors without ECUs ? The sensors are almost all the same and are from Bosch or NKG. The ECU can then be soldered accordingly. I am now looking for the right sensors. Does anyone have a link ? VG Walter

All Season tires – winter tyre obligation
In order to spare me the change between winter and summer tires and, because it was regularly evaluated well in tests, I have given my cube a set of “Pirelli Scorpion Zero AllSeason” with MO-identification, without Run-Flat. After my first own experience I can confirm that it is a great tire. Smooth running, grip, hardness… everything feels good. However, on closer inspection I have found that the tyres (DOT from mid 2022) have no snowflakes, but the M+S-identification. Now it seems that this is no longer enough to fulfill the legal “situational winter tire obligation”. Is that so? If so, I find it very misleading that the Pirelli can actually be driven all year long. If I have been driving on other vehicles “All Season”, they usually had the ominous snowflakes on the flank and at various points in the net, it means that the Pirelli can actually be driven all year long. If I have been driving on other vehicles so far “All Season”, they have not been confused about what happened in the month.

Is the G’s speculative bubble bursting?
At present, the times are more uncertain than ever: war in Ukraine, a possible conflict between China and Taiwan, energy crisis, record inflation, strongly rising interest rates and Corona is not yet off the table. Currently, mobile.de offers from EZ 2019 onwards: 561 x G 63 AMG 155 x G 500 140 x G 400d 105 x G 350d For a vehicle that is allegedly sold out for years, the offer is too large from my point of view. Consequently, a price correction will soon be expected – and that is also good. The G should no longer serve as a speculative object – that simply doesn’t match the image of the G.

What can be expected today after a replacement when picking up a vehicle?
Luckily until now I have been spared by larger reperatures, however, it caught me a week ago. Ignition lock defective. Cost point approx. 800 euros. The workshop is not a branch but a contract dealer. I think it would have to be particularly stimulating to “stand out”! I expect a sucked and washed car (should it be normal in the meantime or?). Admittedly, I am already a little dissatisfied. Announced calls for diagnosis did not take place. On my part, the information that the car will stay there for at least a week was only given on several calls. Now you wait for a programming key and the ignition lock. Let’s assume, however, that the diagnosis was wrong. However, the parts are already installed and still nothing is going on. In this case, I would have to pay for this too? Purely from the logic I don’t know why I should do this because I give the car into professional hands, then expect the correct error diagnosis.

Day-time running light at the SL
With all justified criticism of the popular SL, a daytime running light,a la Audi with its Cristbaum lighting has been spared to him and us. What has reduced the risk of accident in S because of longer darkness, was not accident-lowering in A, therefore it is abolished there again. In D, where much new is embattled with enthusiasm, the police increasingly fix one-eyed and defective rear lights. mfg ortler

Performance enhancement, tuning kit for a SL55 ?
Good day, I’m looking for an affordable tuner that offers a kit that can bring the 500Ps SL55 to more power. I’m thinking of an increase in performance of around 80 to 100 hp. I don’t want to make any changes to the drivetrain. I would like to ask a few questions: 1. Does the increase in performance work with a pure chip tuning that the “Wastegate” will open later or does another loader wheel have to be installed? 2. Is there a loader wheel for the 55 compressor motor in the trade? 3. Does the control unit have to be adapted absolutely necessary? Or does this automatically adjust in this area via Lamda 1? Thank you Andreas

Buy CL 500 or not?
Hello, I’ll introduce myself briefly because I’m new, I’m 20 years old, come from Hamburg and currently drive a CLK 200 with LPG, ( year of construction 00 ) so I’ve been playing a CL for a year with the idea of getting me a CL, well, I’ve now also got an offer: CL 500 01/01, 180tkm, impeccable, 1 hand, checkbook ( always at MB ) , No Comand Navi ( I knew there was such a thing ) , otherwise Full. Defects: the airmatics at the front left, probably has a crack or a leak, at least occurs there fluidly, and a small scratch on the trunk hood. The price for all the fun is at 13000. Now I wanted to know, is the price i.o. under consideration of the missing Comands. If I put the car to me, would you rather recommend a comand to upgrade or rather a radio with 7″ display etc. pp.? On the other side I was given a C 32 AMG with full equipment?

clamped off by MAE tuning ads
Hello guys, I am more or less happy last Friday owner of an SL 500, year 92. The car itself is really class only unfortunately the second previous owner had a conversion of MAE done, so visually really horny, Sound is also class, but what totally bothers me is the chassis. I am used to it. that it is a bit tighter and also that the car is lower. But the “heroes” have somehow jammed down the ADS chassis but no idea how and where and have MAE springs installed. Now the chassis is practically full and is really Bocklehart and it springs zero. On the highway you dare not drive faster than 140 because if you drive in a floor shaft you think you pick up immediately. Unfortunately, my information is somewhat bulky I know. but maybe you have some idea or idea how to reactivate it or expand it if necessary and I build up normal springs and normal shock absorbers, which would be my personal favorite, because it doesn’t go permanently into money and because I have read it often or have broken down on many occasions.

G63 – Brand new and already problems
That’s what I’m talking about. I’ve been waiting for 2 years, and there he is now, the brand new G63, not ready for use. Hardly I’m sitting in there to start the engine, because he was standing in the sales room for a few days. Thinking, on day 2 at KM Stand 165, the same problem again. The engine control lamp lights up again yellow. Engine temperature was at 88°, water at about 74°. OK, then we call the 24h emergency service from MB. That worked well, which was already after about 45 minutes. Diagnosis in front of the vehicle: Cylinder 4 did not have a steady burn. In short, the car went to the workshop the next day. Diagnosis in the workshop already: Cylinder 4, defective ignition. That was already turned off after about 45 minutes. Diagnosis in front of the car was not taken away today.

G500 sports exhaust system unnecessary when retrofitting to AMG performance exhaust system
Hello, I ordered a G500 with the sports exhaust system, but wanted to retrofit the AMG performance exhaust system anyway (by Schawe). My question is now whether the sports exhaust system (which cost around €550 extra charge) is unnecessary, since everything comes out anyway, or this still fulfills a sense ? If this should no longer fulfill any sense, since this is completely expanded, I ask myself whether you can sell the sports exhaust system more expensive than the normal and thus you should still keep the sports exhaust system when ordering or whether you can save the 550€ and should rather cancel it.
