Hello, I’ve never driven off-road before, but I’m interested in making tours in the future. Unfortunately, you seem to build your own car there for something like that is not possible. Who can give me tips here? Which cars are fundamentally suitable, e.g. which four-wheel drive system? How much power do you need to drive in the area? Is a Vitara with 71 kw? What else do you have to pay attention to when buying? Thank you.

Tuning my 4.7 ltr machine ????
Hello Jeep friends, everywhere you hear from tuning over chips, exhaust system etc. Improved combustion more performance better exhaust values and less consumption should be the positive results of these measures. What about all the talk???? The topic I put here for discussion. Certainly here are competent people who can give us lay people explicit information about this. Be very happy about it…. This is a really great platform, come again and again gladly E on it. MfG and all time good ride

Excessive tax on off-road vehicles
Hello only to the informant the following link, in which the new legislation, which already applies from May, has been improved:http://www.bgblportal.de/BGBL/bgbl1f/bgbl106s3344.pdf There is little leeway to be taxed differently for off-road vehicles except they only need another seat next to the driver’s seat. The whole thing doesn’t have to be commented on, it also shows how our politicians in the EU cook their own soup. This is because it goes past the EU directive.

Expedition
I could not find any information about expedition in Asia (mountain regions) with Mercedes vehicles. Mostly Toyotas or Defenders are needed for these purposes. Also the international organizations that work in Ostlasender (BP, UNO and s.w.) have either Toyota Land cruiser or Defender (very rarer). At the beginning of 90 the also NIsan Patruls had the (according to the drivers) were not so good. Engine weak for the mountains. Not good in snow (also in Gebirgige Pro) Toyotas (Land cruiser 100) also not very good in snow and bog. I myself have seen several times “helpless” Toiotas who have pulled oxen out of the moor. In Georgia several offroad drivers (Jaegers and Turistiche companies) are of the opinion that Mercedes landing cars are better (at least for these areas) than the other cars. Another very important thing – According to drivers Merzedes goes clearly rare Kaput after expeditions. Of course it is about large cars and not around Niva, UAZ and S.w. Someone has an idea. thank you in mainly

Addition to: Who really drives into the terrain?
Moin, in order to visually show the results of this thread a little better, here is the survey. Of course, only questions that allow a clear answer can be taken into account, the points “I drive…”, “Why this brand/model…” and “Where I drive offroad…” could therefore not be included (the surveys allow “only” 20 answers). Greeting, Derk

Questions about the Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8
Hello together! Have already asked me about a Grand Cherokee. Have now another one in view. The mechanic from my dad sells it very cheaply. The car makes a very good impression so far. Technically everything also works, only the cruise control can not be activated. Here briefly the basic data: Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8 170.000km Year of construction 1995 2. Property Black / Beige The car is presented fresh and gets another service. .500 Euro So, now the problem: The gears from the automatic transmission switch so far clean and without problems. However, if I give full throttle in the stand and the vehicle wants in the second switch it sounds like the gear is “put in” with force. Even if I press the kick down in the second gear everything sounds quite funny. As I said, if I drive normally nothing happens so far, problem only with full throttle between the first and second gear. What do you think? Greetings Pascal edit: Get the car for the test drive all next week. Then you will also do a purchase check at the ADAC / ÖAMTC!

Acquisition of Wrangler YJ
Hallihallo! After a few years of sports flounder I play with the idea to give my Civic in payment and get me a Wrangler YJ 4.0. I have an offer for 5,500euro which sounds quite good. 100tKm As far as I know they have just just entered. EZ 07. 1992 Here I have concerns… Looks from the paint and interior top and is probably also well maintained check book. I have already made myself smart about the running costs (sprit, insurance and taxes), but how about I don’t want a car, which is every three months in the workshop… Would I be glad if you would enlighten me? Thanks in advance!

Patrol tension question 24? 12?
hello, I have asked a few questions again I bought an old 160er patrol with 24 volts on board voltage and gave the carousel to the scraper dealer (there was nothing more to do) and pulled me one of the 260er which now however with 12 volts have operated everything. now come the problems should you rather keep the 12 volts and install yourself a wrap-around relay and remodel the glowing candles? or rather implant the wire harness together with all the devices from the 160er into the carcasses of the 260er?? has j demand n schematic for such a switching relay where the starter then gets his 24 volts? can I charge the two batteries that are now always necessary with my 24 volt light engine (generator)? or do I need one with 12 volts? to which terminal of the light engine you have to attach a speedometer ? has someone n schematic for? for advice has an open ear mfg stephan
