Hi! I’m new to the forum, and I’d like to buy an offroader. Which offroader would you recommend to me? I’m thinking of a jeep grand chreokee or a range rover. I’m thinking of one with year 1990 – 2000, can’t cost more than a maximum of 10,000 euros. How about the safety of these off-roaders? I’ve already looked a bit, so I’m going to take one with 4 airbags, but how does it look in case of an accident against a newer van (Voyager, Espace)? …) out? Does the off-road vehicle have to have side airbags of its own, I mean, I’m sitting higher in case of a collision? I’m a bit afraid of the old one, since in the car picture I read a little bit about a landwind, which I think is based on some older opel, which is a death trap, does this also apply to the old jeeps and range rovers? What about the running performance of the tracks of Jeep and Land Rover, can someone please recommend something to me. I would like to have it converted to the plant oil plant, if possible with little room for manoeuvre, since it is then cheaper with the taxes. mfg franz

Purchase advice
Hello together! I’ve been to the Mercedes M-Forum before, I couldn’t get any information. The following thing: have no experience with off-road vehicles and no idea either. My family and I will totally move to the country, 5 KM around the house only meadows and forests. Now we are sure that we need a vehicle “for the rough” especially for the winter, because I would only attribute minor terrain or winter suitability to my CLK. I would like to see the older ML, Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now I have heard that the off-road models of Hyundai should also be quite good. Since then, however, I have made a huge bow around Asian vehicles. So to the point: Which vehicle do you like, where are SChwächen, what do I have to pay attention to? Thank you for your answers!

Hello, I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee WH and would like to make some modifications in order to achieve a corresponding terrain suitability. I am also looking for appropriate accessories that fit here. It doesn’t seem to be much available at the MARKET. Who has already made some modifications here? Everything should be suitable for the strict Swiss MFK. Please report – Thank you Harry primary problem tires 245/65R17 – I don’t find any terrain meetings at all for the dimension – who knows more….

Grand Cherokee Drive Technology
Hello, I’m new here and I have some questions about the Grand Cherokee. Should be valid for the years 1994 – 1999. 6Cyl, 4.0L, automatic 1.) Drive technology I think there are different versions, e.g. locks for front, rear or central, reduction etc. What is installed where and offers what advantages? Can someone explain this to a layman! 2.) Laredo Is this also a variant of equipment or what else? If yes, what does this include. Thank you for the effort.

SUVs in the Big City
… yes, have a samurai, and that in the city of Essen, there are no dirt roads here, or anything where you can test some of the off-road qualities of the “kiss” … well, parking is a small advantage that the car in contrast to most over larger curbs can… Cycle paths in the city park… that would go, but the keepers of order will not find that quite funny…. Does anyone know any “playgrounds” here …. does the car want at its own experience this use…

Mittendifferential – Lecture
Hello guys, I have the task of holding a presentation (lecture) on the topic of middle-differential. I find this a shitty topic, the only thing I know that the middle-differential mechanically detects when more power can be transferred and then distributes it. I don’t know how it does it and also don’t know about it. Could someone explain the function of such a part briefly? I think it fits best in the field of off-wheel! For your help would be i thank you I couldn’t find anything useful on the subject at kfz-tech and google, I only found something about a torsen at Audi – but that doesn’t really bring me any further. Greeting Benjamin

Bendix problem??????????????
Hi again:-))) After having been gurgled around with my 4l Cherokee Bj. 91 for a week, I have had one or two problems since yesterday. The worse problem of both is that the brakes no longer function as well as usual. It is as if you brake without a brake booster. You have to latch in like a lunatic. And it also lights up the message “Check Antilock”. Now I have read here many times that the Bendix ABS should be very vulnerable. Has the problem ever before The second problem is that the temperature indicator spins. It goes more or less with the speed. Sometimes it is in the middle, sometimes at the bottom. But not langam but suddenly. Maybe someone can help me here too. With the search function I was unfortunately not successful, so I have to bother you again :-)))) Thank you already in advance. MfG Christian

UMM Age 4×4 – New photos
Hi! I have found a 2nd UMM owner in Germany. All in all there are at least 4 copies in Germany, of which 2 are in a full restoration phase. I hope to come over the Tüv at the end of next week, after I finally found a real screwdriver, which sees no problem even in firmly eaten spring leaf bearings. Incidentally: ATU can’t do anything. Parts they could not get of course and when I had the parts, there was the hint, Luckily there are also screwdrivers from the old stroke here in Lübeck, otherwise I would have had to drive to repair to Portugal or India… In the following current pictures of my UMM age 4×4 2.5D BJ 1986. Be happy about everyone who has something to report about this vehicle! Greeting from HL! Sebastian www carretera de
