Grand Cherokee
Hi, wanted to ask what the quality of the GC is like and whether there are known problems. Since I am interested in the “old” model, I also want to ask when there was a facelift and what has changed. From 2003 there is the 2.7l engine. Is the one with its 163hp enough or should one take a petroler, although the smallest one has already 4l. What does the consumption look like? According to information you can not say anything exactly anyway. If someone from own experience can still say something with it.

grand cherokee 4.0 oil question!
Hi all on the one hand! I bought me some time ago 98er grand cherokee 4.0. runs all round, but I have a question about the oil: the chrysler/jeep dealer has put 10W40 motor oil from shell in. I have to take exactly the same from shell when refilling, or can I also take a 10W40 from e.g. ” LIQUI MOLY” (all year light running oil for gasoline and diesel engines, has the name “world champion” ? and to the gear oil (automatic): there I have no idea what is in it, but what I so like I have read, should in any case only ATF +4 in, everything else destroys the gearbox. but I will still ask what the dealer put in there. info: I drove about 1500- 2000 km since the oil change on 15.8.2006. thank you & servus from bayern

What off-road vehicle?
Hello! I’ve been driving an L200 for over 3 years, now he already has a lot of KM down and I think I’m going to break away from him with a heavy heart. Now I’m looking for a new off-road vehicle up to about 14 tEuro. Purpose: because horse breeding business requires a lot of trailer operation and mandatory four-wheel drive to get to the farm in winter. I looked at the Terracan and also the Land Rover Freelander. Both tell me, at first glance it seems like you have a lot of equipment etc. for The Pajero or a PickUp is also on the agenda…. Does any of you have any experience with these cars? Which car would you advise me to use? Oh, it should be a diesel. The Freelander is less motorized… HELP!!! Need your advice! Thank you very much!!

LR Disco/Jeep Cherokee/MB G-Class Decision
Hi, everybody, I would be grateful for a little advice here. Consider the purchase of an off-road vehicle: either an LR Discovery with the TDi engine, or a Jeep Cherokee 2.5D or Grand Cherokee 2.5D, maybe also an MB G-Class Diesel. The LR and the Jeep so from BJ 97, the MB stop from BJ 87. It is the question whether the Benz is really so good that a vehicle that is 10 years older costs the same as the colleagues from abroad. The disco has ABS and airbag. It is important that you get a truck registration, i.e. seats out, disks glued on, separation grids. At least I believe that these are the requirements of Finanazamt. Does anyone know whether this always works safely, or is there any difference from FA to FA? Should the truck approval be a problem? I guess you’d have to get a pick-up, but they’re mostly pretty done, because they’re almost always on the road in the business. So, if someone thinks of something, I’m really grateful! Greetings to Alle Jan

Why are the four whellers so expensive?
Hello dear offroad friends, I would love to buy a 4 wheeler even if it was only a 4.0 V6 jeep (as an example ), but why are they so expensive in the insurance? Tax doesn’t matter, because there are also some where trucks have a tax (e.g. a nice pickup or so ). But if I have to pay over 1000 € on insurance (just because apparently the big jeeps cause such a big damage in an accident), that can not be me or? I’m driving a n Chevrolet Camaro.. which is piggy cheap in maintenance, the only problem is… I never liked the depths of cars. What do you mean.. there are also cheap 4 whers that are as big as a Jeep Grand Cherokee? So no Suzuki Samurai / Vitara or similar. I missed the four wheel and that you can just drive over the meadow without sitting on the ground. We just live in the wrong time and in the wrong state. In the past that was even better. Thanks to many rTips.. ach nochwas: is the truck tax still in place? Thank you

Need your advice which car could fit for me
Hello, I’m new here and I need your advice. I want to get an off-road car as a second car, because I often go fishing and hunting and I can only do that with my B 180 from Mercedez only bad 😉 Had already looked at the “new” Panda 4×4. But is almost a little small. But can also be a used off-road car. But know me with car technology only magically, therefore I hope here on your advice. My ideas: – Price max. 12,000 Euro – we d only driven as 2 seaters, there is always dog sitting behind. – as low consumption as possible (possibly combinable with car gas). – very important Euro 4, since I want to drive with it from time to time on a business trip – speed does not matter, however, 130 km/h suffice me – very reliable it should be, rust-resistant etc. – need no electr. window lifter etc. Climate would be ok and a simple radio. – the car wants the next 8 years as much as possible without large rust and technology pro – Use of the car: 60% road and 40% forest roads, gravel roads – hardly anything is pulled with the car Do you have any tips for me, which car should I look closer? Rather buy from the dealer in my case or still private (but because of my ignorance already fell in) or turn to a club? Many thanks in advance, the “sock holder” (my dog is called sock *laughs*)

Successor for LandCruiser
Hello, I am currently driving a Toyota LandCruiser HDJ80. I went with him from time to time into the terrain (also heavier with winch etc.). But mostly I use it as an old-day vehicle and to travel with the caravan. Since the diesel and the age have come (17 years) I am now looking for a successor for the next few years. That is why the new one is to become a gasoline engine with conversion to autogas. I have already tried many “OffRoader” and have meanwhile hung on 2 vehicles. love: – Landrover Range Rover (model 2006) Supercharged (possibly also the suction cup) – Chevrolet Tahoe (model 2007), possibly the Z71 version purchase price approx. 40 – 50 T€. At the range I don’t find the Navi so good and there is hardly one with heater (successful installation not possible. The Tahoe is relatively large, I don’t know how it is in the terrain. What are your opinions on the 2 cars? Best regards, Stefan

Buying decision off-road vehicles
Hello, I’m looking for a reliable off-road car – preferably petrol, because I only travel between 5,000 and 10,000 km per year. Ideally it should be a 3-door car with a short wheelbase, because I don’t need a too big vehicle, for example my wife doesn’t like a “big car”. The car should be used from time to time as a tractor for a horse trailer for 2 horses. It can easily also be an older year of construction (from approx. 96). You recommend me? Thank you for your help in advance. Greetings Offroad56
