  • Deep snow – Towing vehicle – Opinion requested

Hello, because with us is the most intense deep snow in winter, now and then you have to be able to drive over stock and stone, my question about your opinions. Which vehicle with maximum trailer load for trailer operation would be a perfect vehicle for deep snow. So far, Ford Ranger, Touareg I and ML has always been “sacked”, stuck up, stuck. I know that it is also important for tyres and so on, but what do you think is the most ideal vehicle. Budget: open end, but in a reasonable Ra hmen 😉 under 100k 😉 hg david

  • New BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM 2

Guys, is one of you driving the new BFG MUD TERRAIN KM2? I found nothing about the sufu here. What I want to know is how he behaves towards the “old” in the mud and wet road. I found a few tests on the net and in one he was run as a summer tire, so I let it stay the same. I drive an HDJ80 and he needs new shoes now, and since I was satisfied with the old one I wanted to stay at BFG. Thanks already in advance for your experience. Greetings x Mike

  • Dodge RAM 3500 vs. Ford F350

Hi together, interest me a little bit for the big Ami pick-ups. Especially the Dodge RAM 3500 dual with the 5,9l cummins and 6-speed did it to me. But also the Ford F350 dual with 7,3 V8 or with 6,6 duramax has what. Everything as diesel minded !! Now my question to you: What should I consider when buying such a car ?? Have no experiences in this sector and would be happy about qualified attributions. What about the quality, with how much KM is worth The purchase of such a car ??? prefers to buy in BRD or import it yourself ?? theme consumption, are 15l realistic ??? What about insurance and tax ?? Are there alternatives to these cars ?? which can also be obtained with diesel and hand-operated ?? So for the first time these are probably enough questions, I am happy about every attribution. Greeting @ all Scan

  • Search cheap four-wheelers

Hello! I don’t need a real offroader, but I hope to have some experience with four-wheeled vehicles here and therefore just ask here. And I am looking for a second car that should stay registered next to the Coupé all year round for my 93 Mercedes Coupé (have no parking space). After my father is on forest roads from time to time and the car should be used mainly in winter I thought of an all-wheeler with which you can also sometimes with hangers can drive over unpaved forest paths. Of course, the whole thing should be as cheap as possible, both in purchase and in maintenance, can also be quiet something older, only robust and reliable the box must be. Small repairs are in, but welding can not be – good rust protection should be so. As a budget I had thought of 1500 EUR – is there anything to find? I have already looked around and stumbled over the same vehicles: Subaru Justy: Zuschalba rer 4WD, but rather small and perhaps not ideal for forest paths with hangers… Suzuki SJ: rust problems, good vehicles are expensive. Opel Frontera: Actually oversized, are messes in bad condition in this price category Jeep Cherokee: giant box, spare parts supply? Actually, I thought about Golf Syncro first – but there’s nothing there! After my Mercedes is already not a wasteful, the fuel consumption would not be so important to me, especially repairs, taxes and insurance Is there anything or do I still have to drive my Benz in the winter and my father shove his front scratcher-bora through the forest…

  • Affordable towing vehicle for 3.5 to trailer???

For the trailer operation with up to 3.5 tons I am looking for a usable towing vehicle, which should, if possible, also economically fulfill its service in normal everyday operation. With Hanger he should get wood out of the forest or e.g. also a mini excavator or what else occurs on our construction site, pull from the construction site meadow and then purr in the mountainous road area and also over the highway. All-wheel drive safely necessary for the task area, less f for the terrain fan factor, at least at the moment. Wherewith the questions, all-wheel permanent or too switchable, whether blocking differential required, have to be clarified? Unfortunately also stupid world zones to consider, so at least too green retrofittable or H-mark possible soon. Which car with which equipment is possible for this and how much should/must I invest for a used one, from which year of construction at least? Should I say goodbye to the idea, the towing vehicle also as To want to use everyday cars, in other words to use them better only as a purpose-second vehicle? Priority is on a cost-effective solution.

  • Upgrading VW

Hi leutz! have already asked in the VW forum for.. but you know a dealer who sells higher sets for the vw beetle?!

  • Range Rover Sport

Have M-Class, Volvo XC 90, BMW X5 tested. The Range Rover Sport, on the other hand, is not only the car with style, but also something for the terrain. I have – from the belly – ordered a Range Rover Sport, Lucerne Green met.. V 6 Diesel, HSE equipment, ordered. I am curious about the processing quality, one reads nothing bad, except the -in comparison – a bit tough motor. Is there no special page for Land Rover in this forum?. So few of them are there again and there is no and nothing wrong with the -in comparison – a little tough motor. It’s getting more and more!

  • What costs to be caught once in the forest or hallway with off-road vehicles

Hi I bought a ML 270 and the off-road driving is more and more fun. It should only be to the trailer, but… Since I don’t have my own gravel pit and the next off-road track somewhere in Switzerland is not so easy to drive off-road. What does that cost me if I “seek in the tracks of the hunters” through the forest? Is there a location between Basel and Freiburg where this is particularly fun? GPS coordinates would be great. (Googel Maps and right mouse button) “What is here” and the coordinates appear at the top of the input field.) cu lem

  • Offroad extreme

If you look at the videos on Youtube, I always notice that many Susis Landys and G are extremely scared on these trophys. Are these off-road vehicles so indestructible or are the cars so extremely rebuilt for these trophys that you can already risk a lot? I would never dare to do some things with my Granny. Ok, I don’t have any ladderams anymore but even the cardan waves and axles alone I would never expose myself to such loads. n don’t tell you where the limit of pain lies with my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Just when I drive through tough mud or start to fully set up every now and then. The sounds that sometimes cause me to doubt again and again whether something has gone wrong. How do you see this ? How do you know how much you can expect from your car? What is safe and what is fatal for drive body and co. Can you of course not generalize with the many off-road cars I would just Interested in what you can see if a off-road vehicle is built robustly or not. Greeting Pascal

  • Road, Waldweg, Alm

After I change my job (from office stallion to forestry landlord), I also need a new car. I write how high my budget is and what I need the car for. I have a maximum of €20,000 available. My forest is about 70km away from my home. I have a large part of the highway and country road to drive, with some snow tracks in the winter. The last 3-4km to the farm are uphill, there is clearance, but mainly snow or ice. Rbahn. In the forest I have normal, not graveled forest paths, with gradients between 10-25%. Partly covered with humus or strong track grooves from the trucks incl. mud/morast when rains. In winter the forest roads are partly to be driven. On the mountain pasture is a gravel road, is also cleared in winter for the trucks. Although when it is thawing there is an ice-piste. From me it is not planned that I myself draw trees from the forest ect… Grad mal, that I make firewood and with I need a car where on the one hand I put child, woman and dog, with which I can also be “safe” on the road and at the same time also get in and out of the forest without the tractor having to pull me out of the neighbor. Kombi is not a topic for me, he has just too little ground clearance. Oh yes and consume more than 7-8 liters/diesel it should not. Car should also bring out the trailer. I’ll have more than 30,000 to 40,000 km on it, maybe you’d have some suggestions.
