I am going to buy a Mercedes , year 82, DIESEL from the USA. Now I read that all insurance companies require an everyday car! I basically travel all year round with the motorcycle to work, etc. Is there an oldtimer insurance that a motorcycle recognizes as a everyday vehicle? A normal insurance is not considered, since it is a 300 turbodiesel… I would be grateful for tips.

Hello I made myself to my first project, vehicle is disassembled into its individual parts, in front of me is the empty body. The base is very good, a few rust spots but no rusting. Now I wanted to inform myself if someone who has done this once can give me tips. 1. Picking – Does someone have experience with it? Which means should I take best? 2. Rust – Have read several times of “phosphoric acid” to convert the surface rust. Is this really so wi rksam? 3. Rust protection – if the rust is removed, what to use as rust protection? Unfortunately we don’t have much money and I at least absolutely have no idea of cars. That’s why I’m looking for someone in the Bremen area who has time, pleasure and fun to tinker with my friend on the car and who also has an idea of where to get cheap parts (da si nd rusty sheets e.g.). No lubrication in the cylinder head after ZDK exchange. Is an Opel Record C Ez. 1968, 1.9 Ltr. 90 HP. The ZK seal has now been replaced for the third time, there is simply no oil pressure on the camshaft (hydrostösseln). The head has been overhauled by an Opel operation, professionally mounted and basic set up by a free workshop. All oil holes to the head have been checked? Where is the fault?
