Hello. More and more often I catch myself lately, that I see in various Oldi magazines cars, which I would like to lay down immediately. That would be so far still normal, because that was always so. But these were vehicles, which I as a child only felt terrible. 1100 Simca, R4, R11, 2CV, 204 Peugeot, NSU, Ford 15M P5, the corrugated sheet metal citroen (=don’t know the exact designation), the first VW bus (T2?) and many more. How can that be? I mean, my Lieblin I still have gstraumfahrzeuge, but now the ones that I found so bad at that time come along. And today they are so beautiful (become?!). Are you or some of you doing the same or am I going through a change of character? Greetings, Mario

100,000 km of continuous tests …
Good evening, I had a nice idea when driving on the BAB tonight. And there are car pictures, AMS, MOT and how they are all called usually 100,000 km tests, of new vehicles. I (and probably a lot of others too) would be interested in how good or bad an old or young car (or older used car on the threshold there) cuts off at such a practice test. Is it, when it starts the test with 150,000 km, more susceptible than a new car? t such a vehicle over 100,000 km higher costs than a comparable new vehicle ? And such questions more. I would suggest we consider a car that we propose to the ladies and gentlemen for such a test times . I would also write a corresponding cover letter (private) by email to the leading car newspapers of Germany . What do you think of such an idea ? Which vehicle (year of construction until 1990) do you think is suitable ? I have already allowed myself a The list may be extended. If someone wants to introduce a car that I have not included in the list, please suggest it. To restrict the matter a little, I would say that it should be a vehicle between golf size and the size of the old S-classes. Furthermore, there should be a sufficient stock of the vehicle to purchase this vehicle in good condition. Furthermore, it should not be a sports car, but something that also has useful value, since toys are usually treated differently than utility vehicles. MFG Kester

Charging account light is ticking.
Hello all!! If there was a question regarding charging control light. Car is a Fiat 1500c, Bj 1967. Has been rescued from destruction and is currently preparing the mentioned problem. The lamp does not light up when the ignition is switched on. It goes on when the engine is running. Should be vice versa. Voltage on the battery is 12.3-12,4V. Voltage on the battery when the engine is running with approx. 2-2500U 13,4-13,5. What can this be?? LiMa would have to be fine, since 13.4 is good for a DC Lima anyway. Right? The controller also lets through, otherwise I could not measure the voltage on the battery, right? The wiring should fit, has been measured. Who can help, am with my Latin at the end…. LG, Martin

Youngtimer event
Hi, I’m planning a Youngtimer event next year (sales, exhibition, parts market, music, conditioners from the surrounding area etc.) As part of this I’m of course already preparing the advertisements, including posters. Now my question, which car is best reflected by the Youngtimer? Which car triggers the most emotions? I’d be very happy about the answers. MfG André

What insurance does motorcycle recognize as a everyday vehicle?
I am going to buy a Mercedes , year 82, DIESEL from the USA. Now I read that all insurance companies require an everyday car! I basically travel all year round with the motorcycle to work, etc. Is there an oldtimer insurance that a motorcycle recognizes as a everyday vehicle? A normal insurance is not considered, since it is a 300 turbodiesel… I would be grateful for tips.

Body “Restore” tips?
Hello I made myself to my first project, vehicle is disassembled into its individual parts, in front of me is the empty body. The base is very good, a few rust spots but no rusting. Now I wanted to inform myself if someone who has done this once can give me tips. 1. Picking – Does someone have experience with it? Which means should I take best? 2. Rust – Have read several times of “phosphoric acid” to convert the surface rust. Is this really so wi rksam? 3. Rust protection – if the rust is removed, what to use as rust protection? Is a normal primer enough? Bzw. what do you think of the zinc sprays? would that be vill. what? 4. Cavity protection – Mike Sanders fat I already know would take it again? Alternatives? 5. Underfloor protection – Which is the best ? You often let rope grease do not wash down?? vill. can someone give me a few tips against lg Hannes

Fiat 500 with carburetor problems needs DRINGEND help!
Hello everybody, need your help urgently! Unfortunately I only came to get my little one out of hibernation. In the third attempt he also came directly however he did not run clean and did not take any gas. Before that there was already a very short acquaintance, who said that it is on the carburettor and the mixture is probably the problem. So that if you give more gas he somehow does not regulate it. He can unfortunately only again Tuesday evening. Now I have the following problems: ..1. If he should the service I have no e-parts here at the moment and I don’t even know which carburetor is exactly installed !? . 2. I have quite a time pressure since I like to drive my annual oldtimer Ralley on the 17th, just now after the long hospital stays. Now my request: Can someone tell me which carburetor this could be? I read earlier that there is an adjustment screw on the carburetor for the mixture! Can someone tell me where the carburetor i and how I have to turn it (with or against UZS) to get the mixture leaner. Then I would try it myself tomorrow.

Help with crafting
Hello dear community, I’m completely new here and have a concern: My friend has an old Ford Transit (BJ 79, I think). There’s a lot to do so that he can finally get his oldtimer registration. Unfortunately we don’t have much money and I at least absolutely have no idea of cars. That’s why I’m looking for someone in the Bremen area who has time, pleasure and fun to tinker with my friend on the car and who also has an idea of where to get cheap parts (da si nd rusty sheets e.g.). A convenient way to paint would also be good, new varnish is urgently needed, but unfortunately terribly expensive, especially with such a big car. If one of you is interested or knows someone, please contact us! LG Serafyna
