  • ” He must walk first. “

I have a Porsche 928, which has stood for years. When it was started the last time several years ago, it did not run optimally. He is standing with an acquaintance. He has his private screwdriver workshop on his site ( older gentleman, had learned in the 60s by BMW KFZ – mechanic ). I want to now ( first in stand ) to run the car and then slowly bring it back to the road. – Everywhere you hear and read, you should have a car, which stood for a long time has gently brought to life. That’s why I suggested to him (it’s a good idea for him to do what the car is already with him, he also has a lot of time) to make an oil change (in the back of my mind I still have a spark plug check and maybe before the first start to turn the engine by hand ). When changing oil before the first start attempt he weighs off and says: “He has to run “. . What about such a setting to hold ? Would also one of the You’re going to get that kind of thing? (Sorry for the long text ). Edit : There’s been no oil change in the car for an infinite number of years. He knows that too.

  • Request for Renault Oldtimer identification

Hello dear members, we have recently found a Renault in the barn, but cannot identify it. The details of the owner are listed below, but are probably not true: Year of construction: 1935 or 1936 3.8l engine capacity with 36 hp It is certain, however, that the car has a 6 cylinder engine and is extremely rare. It was even suspected by an expert who came from France that this vehicle in France no longer I hope to find some Renault experts who can say what kind of car we’ve found! Unfortunately, the pictures don’t look so good, we’re going to put the car on a better scene soon. Best regards, Christian

  • Price question Ponton 219 W105

Hello! I would have a question about a pontoon 219, which is offered to me and would know your esteemed opinion. The car is made of 2nd hand (since 1977 in 2nd hand), EZ 1958 in DB040 black. No sliding roof etc.! The car has been extensively restored, painted from the sheet metal on new with 9 lacquer layers. All chrome parts have been newly chromed. All seals are new, the engine has been overhauled. The steering gear is new, the axles and all parts overhauled or new. The grill was also bought “new”. It is equipped with a stainless steel exhaust system. The vehicle is unwelded. Since the restoration 7,000 km ran since 2006. Now to the interior. It has red leather seats with a 54-year-old patina. However, it does not look gammelig. Still the original rubber rash on the ground. The sky is also original and shows just that it has its best times behind it. In the car there is a lot of love to the detail. It was over 14 years ago. Is the car worth about 25,000 EUR? According to my research there are very few comparison vehicles, as the 219 is really rare. What would I have to invest for a new sky with a professional? I would be very grateful about your feedback! Best regards Jan

  • Does anyone here know painters in Eastern Europe who work reliably?

Hello, it’s about the painting of a VW T3 camper, an original joker from 1984. I would like to receive the car, but a paint in D for 1500.- Euro blows the economic frame. Does anyone know a company in Eastern Europe (Poland or something) that makes it reliable and cheap? And maybe has references that prove this? Here are two pictures of the car:http://i6.ebayimg.com/04/i/08/9b/36/8d_1.JPGhttp://i13.ebayimg.com/06/i/08/96/91/ec_1.JPG The car is driving without problems ready. Thanks and greeting Kai

  • Techno Classica and OPEL

Now I have to get rid of something: Opel seems more and more to forget its own history to WOLLEN. It was just sad to see at this year’s Techno Classica, which Opel was not represented at all. The Opel IG was the only stand, which with Opel products has held more bad than quite the Opel flag high, in the basement stood also two three vehicles with the flash “rum” , the i400 club was there and that was it…. The abseperte Bitter people in Hall 9.1 had “Exp onate” , which were so lousy and disgusting , which I would have ordered for the first time exterminators for this . Lubricated interior fittings and cricketed sheet metal repairs as well as unoriginal repairs rounded off the picture of the three SCs . (why was there no CD ?) Just horrible , this bitter stand . He shows the true crash of this brand . I tear my eyes , when I see , how Opel as one of the German manufacturers with the greatest history ( together with Mercedes ) its faithful ( expensive ) Ku When I look at the Ford stand or the great high-quality VW stand with exhibits from the car city, I get very “flau” around the heart. At this stand alone you could see, that the competition from Wolfsburg has rushed us around light years ago ( resp. our people have been sleeping for years). Opel drivers have not even a museum, it is to cry. Opel Young and Oldtimer do not convey the slogan “like ifse fliechs” anymore but “like w w ennse crashes” thickship user (Opel IG member )

  • Upgrade Kat and still get H-marks???

Hello, have a camper (VW T3, gasoline with 2.1l capacity), which in three years could get an H-mark, because it then cracked the 30 years. Condition is great and all original. Since the good piece costs me but over 420 Euro taxes, because the pollutant class is zero (no available/forgiven), I am just counting on what could be worthwhile until then. Season mark is NOT in question. Does anyone know if it is with current retrofitting of a cat (if technically possible However, in three years’ time, MIT Kat will still be able to comply with the regulations for granting an H-mark, or is this a technical intervention that will prevent me from doing so, because it is no longer the original technical condition!? Please not only conjectures, gladly supporting documents or sources for it. I would like to thank you and wish you a nice weekend!
