  • Grinding in the engine compartment

Hello dear community, I bought a Nissan Primera 2.0 Bj. 99 (190.000Km). Today I noticed an abnormal and irregular “grinding” from the engine compartment. I was also today at Nissan and asked if this would have happened with the steering chain. The answer was: – Highly unlikely – A torn steering chain would not be known to him in this model – I guess a grinding at the water pump or similar. Now it is leather that if the steering chain is broken, On the internet I have already learned many cases about the tearing of the chain and that it is not so rare, because Nissan probably would not have installed a special good chain. Jetz I do not know exactly whether it must always be a “crack” that shows the signs of a weak chain or it can be a grinding noise. Which in my opinion sounds from the moter on the left (if you are standing in front of the car). The noise is not constant, sond I think it’s rather irregular, but most of the time it’s the clock of the engine. It’s hard to hear at high speed, but I mean that the interval increases with the speed. The car’s checkbook is well maintained and therefore always (until 2012) examined by a Nissan distributor. They would have to have noticed that until now. My questions are now the following: – I’m not very dependent on the car, only if it could be the chain, how high is the expectation equal Tomorrow to tear? – What are typical signs before the ultimatum: Chain crack? – What do the materials cost and what should everything be renewed if you could do it privately and it really is the chain? I hope I find someone here who might know what I mean and hope that I have expressed myself as precisely as possible. I am very grateful for every hint!

  • Primera P11 – Quiet, undefined polishing

Hello everybody, I have a Nissan Primera P11 1.8 limousine from 1999. The car now has 130tkm on the clock and I am very happy. What annoys me every now and then is an annoying, undefined quiet poltern. I have tried to locate the poltern several times, but so far without success. I have the impression it comes from the front right, then again from the back … that makes the troubleshooting of course extremely difficult. It is also not so that it louder on uneven roads. I can drive on the worst field and don’t hear anything. Then comes the smallest floor shaft and it gets worse. Regardless of the speed. Now I wanted to ask if you might have a tip? I already checked the following: – Spring breakage – Oily shock absorbers – Exhaust clamps. Yesterday I greased the rubbers of the stabilizer rod. In addition, I sprayed every joint and bearing properly with WD40. change. It can of course be anything and nothing, but before I change shock absorbers, crossbars, coupling rods or dome bearings I would be happy if any of you have a hint or tip. Thank you, Grüße Team M3

  • New X Trail T32 First impressions

Wanted to know who has already collected first impressions with the new X Trail, if necessary during a test drive. Am am superior to me to increase the car in Tekna equipment and all-wheel drive. Test drive was quite positive. I tested both the front drive version as well as the all-wheel version at two different dealers. Vehicle ran pleasantly, the engine performance I consider sufficient, is criticized in some test reports as too weak, ok, am no raser but rather prefer the Inside comfortable materials, good sitting position both in the fabric seats and in the leather seats, with the leather seats rather the problem, which one sweats rather. Difficult during this test drive was added that the Kima system caused problems. Switched off several times simply and lost massively in performance. At the same time about 27 °C. The dealer was addressed to this, this was answered with an operating error!! To be honest, with s o a response and reaction the dealer failed with me. Otherwise the new X-Trail has become a fine car in my opinion. Lots of space, also in the rear, Despite my 1.82 and a little further backwards pushed driver’s seat still a lot of space in the back. I am sure that I will order it soon.

  • Heating blows only cold and engine heat indicator shows almost on stop after 10-15 min

Hello I have been driving an Xtrail 2.0 Diesel automatic since July 2016 and was actually completely satisfied despite 112000km which the car already has on the hump. First registration is 11.2007. TÜV was also July 2016 and was checked every year for inspection of Nissan. Today I wanted to turn up the heating and it also ran briefly, but then after 5 min only came out cold. The engine temperature indicator showed almost stop due to overheating when giving gas on the highway with 1 20Km/hour. Even after 30 min driving there was no improvement in sight. Had a similar incident a week ago but after 10 min it came warm again…. What can there be?? Can’t think that it was at the daily temperature from -7 to -12 that the heating failed 🙁

  • Qashqai engine suddenly jerks -> complete fir tree in the tacho -> restart everything again Okay?

Hello guys, basically I already described the event in the title. What I can say is: the Qashi has now 40 tkm down. I am off to work in the morning and after about 5 km I stopped briefly at the tank. I then left again, advanced to a traffic light, wait briefly then go. First I noticed that the engine sounds rough and rough. In the next moment it beeped out of the combi intrument, wild warning messages ala start-stop-system malfunction. In addition to the MKL engine control I stopped to the right and noticed even before I showed the car that the stationary gas was also spinning. Then I started the car again quite normal and it ran again as if nothing had been. Also later on my way home the car ran completely normal. When the battery was flat some time ago it was similar with the wild messages from the instrument cluster but there the car started schlic And that’s not what it seems to be because the car started quite normally quickly, the starter went through vigorously. One of you also happens to something like that?

  • Nissan X-Trail loses oil, remains unclear

Hello everybody, my Nissan X-Trail T30 is losing massive oil, but its whereabouts are unclear. It has been exchanged a dozen times in the workshop, turbochargers and charging air coolers. I have a parking space in the yard and there are no oil stains to see, so when the oil comes out, it is at least not visible (I don’t know if this could stick somewhere inside the engine compartment, but for that he actually loses too much). The current theory is that the oil will be burned in the engine, but in the workshop I was told that he would have to smoke out a lot of blue in the back, and he doesn’t. If it’s cold and I leave it on, you can see that there’s a little dark cloud coming out, but it’s supposed to be normal. He also has a yellow badge, not a green one (if that’s somehow relevant). In my workshop, they don’t like to disassemble the engine, but I don’t want the car to be irrevocably dead at some point. I can’t imagine that this will continue to work for the engine in the long term. Apart from that, the car is ideal for me, I would hate to separate from it. Do you have any ideas, suggestions, can I check something myself?

  • Funny navigator

Hello Nissan driver! I went to Spain on Saturday when an ad appeared on the navigation screen (see left on the photo). Can someone tell me what that is and how I can get it out of there. I already turned off all the checkmarks in the settings, nothing. Another question:Why can I not enter a house number when I enter a Spanish address. About Google Search this is possible. Thank you very much

  • Get messages.

Hello. For four months I am proud owner of a Qashqai, J12 in the Tekna version. On the large display a envelope with a number appears for some time. First it was a 3 then a 5 and now it is an 8 (photo in the attachment). I suspect that it is some kind of news from Nissan. I searched all sorts of things but found no messages. Before I contact Nissan, I would like to ask you if anyone can tell me where to find the messages.

  • Qashqai +2 J10 1.6 117 PS rear crossbars

Moin municipality, I’m normally in the VAG area. Now I have to replace the crossbars with the Qashqai +2 J10 1.6 117 HP crossbars (pulls) at the rear. Getting the crossbars and excenter screws with nuts and disc is no problem. I also want to have the attachment on the wheel side and the attachment on the crossbar in the middle when I’m at the screw. The center (excenter screw, fixing kit) is OE 55226-EN10B. I get it everywhere. st 54459EN10A or 54459JV00D (which of the two bolts is it) and nut 01223N2011. Which bolts, discs, nuts do I need on the wheel side. And where do I get all the stuff except at Nissan? Here in Germany these few screws cost over 50€ without the excenter set. Original Nissan screws and nuts cost e.g. at Nissan in the USA cents. Thank you for the information!
