  • Question on production sites and quality

Hi everybody, I drove Tesla for the first time today… …. I shouldn’t have done it! ?? Here the quality of the Facelift models is swarmed everywhere. Especially from those who come from China. Does only the SR come from China or also LR and Performace? If the latter continue “only” from the USA: is the quality of the Facelift models also clearly better? Thanks for a short feedback. Dirk PS: Now I only have to teach my wife this ??

  • Model 3 – Residual value development: Battery Day, Gigafactory Grünheide

Sometimes it’s glass ball shows, but there’s always insider knowledge about something like that: There’s a lot of speculation about Battery Day: https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/…/ If that means that Teslas is getting predictable (2021 / 2022) cells that are much more durable and/or cheaper than the previous ones, would it be nonsense to buy one now? Then maybe something more tangible: if Tesla produces Model 3 and Y in Grünheide from the end of 2021, they should also be cheaper. n Germany, because Atlantik-Transport und Zoll verfallen? Could so 290€ (? Transport, customs, homologisation) be less, but it is not clear how much Tesla is going to give? In contrast, the increased VAT compared to now (about 1000€) and if you don’t get the model 3 / Y produced in Germany before the end of 2021, would it probably be 3000€ less environmental bonus? In addition, the sudden possible price changes, the Tesla from time to time ra is a speculation object such a Tesla. What do you think could be the optimal time of purchase: wait now or Battery Day or wait for concrete effects from Battery Day or wait for Grünheide?

  • Family Benefits Model 3

Would like to have your assessment or report of your experience with the Model 3 as a “family carriage”. Now not of driving comfort or range but storage space and possible solutions for space problems. Constellation is with us 2 adults, dog and toddler. Accordingly, during excursions / holidays also dog box or sometimes cot must with. Trunk volume from the usability it will be approximately like my X4, but we usually drive with our S-Max, which currently however a grav The boot of the S-Max has about 700L and we almost always need it full. Is that what the roof racks are for the Model 3? There you could put bulky stuff, and use the trunk only for the suitcases. Would you rather wait for the Model Y, but 2 car changes will be due next year, if the problem with de Ford is not solved and I would like to have your opinions on it.

  • Tesla Model 3 – the right car for me?

Hi everybody, my first post in the Tesla forum and hopefully not the last one! My concern: My leasing runs out in April, currently driving a Volvo V60 T6 Recharge, i.e. a plug-in hybrid. Now I want to switch to a BEV and Tesla is currently very attractive, concerning the leasing. I drive about 2 to 3 in the week to the office, 28km, and can load there free of charge. In addition, 2 times a month a distance of 480km to Dresden simply, i.e. 960km in total. I have the possibility to load at my home, but there are various charging stations in the vicinity. Model 3 would be very appealing to me! But I’m still a little unsure. How do you see the whole thing?

  • Tesla Model3 corrosion protection cavity protection

Hello people You always hear reports about rusting parts of the model 3. That American vehicles are not as well protected as European ones, but someone has already thought about where the neuralgic parts are, and how to prevent them here. Here is a small extract of parts of the body made of normal galvanized sheet metal.: -Heckklappe -Motorhaus -Kotflügel -Hintere Seitenwand -Schweller I think d he threshold ends (especially at the front) will be the most vulnerable. There are some suppliers of plastic parts that are supposed to protect against rockfalls and splashing water, but I don’t think that’s particularly nice.

  • Hardware updates in ongoing production

Hello together, this thread can also be used in the future to share and discuss smaller (and larger) hardware innovations in the Model 3 production. I’m going to start with the now announced changes in the Model 3 from local production for the Chinese market: – 2x USB-C at the rear of the center console instead of the large standard USB slots – 1x USB-C at the front of the center console together with 1x standard USB slot – The inductive charging pad for 2 Smartphones have now also been included in the Model 3 series as in the Model Y. It can be assumed that the Model 3 for the European market from Fremont will soon also get these changes – first deliveries will be seen here in Europe due to production and shipping but certainly only around June/July.

  • Chop off the electric motor

Yesterday at the stop sign – while driving off – I noticed that I still have the “burner care”: If I step on the gas too fast, I could strangle the car. “Shruggling” is not possible with e-cars, is it?

  • Missing AHK, USB-C sockets and QI charging pads M3 Q4/2021

The Ranger is supposed to fix it, as far as it is clear. But how is it going to go on? Do I have to report the lack in the app? Is there something in the app with someone? Is there any information that goes beyond this “You might be affected” SMS from 13.12? I picked up my M3 today and got nothing further about it.

  • rear side window reacts after closing the driver’s door

I have recently been an interesting phenomenon with the left rear side window. When I close the driver’s door and sit in the vehicle, the rear left side window drives a little bit upwards. When leaving the vehicle and closing the driver’s door from the outside, the rear side window goes a little bit downward. Interestingly, driving up only happens when you sit in the vehicle. The way the window sets back is about 3 to 4mm. and has apparently no connection with the otherwise correct behaviour of the windows (running down when opening and starting up after closing). It also affects only the left rear side window. I have become attentive by the fact that for about two weeks I have noticed a previously not existing noise when closing the driver’s door after boarding from the rear vehicle area, after various attempts I have now been able to assign and identify the noise. The strange thing about it, somehow the seat occupancy profile should play a role. Because when I open the driver’s door, NOT get in and close the door from the outside, the left rear side window does not move. I have already tried a window calibration according to the manual, but did not make any changes.

  • missing EAP software

In December 2022 I ordered a Tesla ModelY performance with an EAP software for an additional €3,800. To date the software has not been delivered. At my request either to install the software or to return the money. To my objection Tesla has responded with the following text: “Good day Mr. Neumann, thank you for your email and your postal letter. Unfortunately I must inform you that we have requested your withdrawal of the Enhanced Autopilot of your order RN117957 085 cannot comply. There is no legal basis for your revocation, we also refer you to your order agreement & our questions & answers page about the autopilot. We thank you for your understanding and wish you continued good travel and a relaxing weekend. If you have any further questions, please contact us by phone or electronically.”
