  • Permanent test Model S – What is the reliability?

The long-term test Tesla from edmunds.com has now received the second new drive unit with less than 20,000 miles of mileage, plus a new battery (!), a new 12V battery and on the occasion a few more service measures: http://www.edmunds.com/…/…s-is-the-third-drive-unit-the-charm.html Although the Tesla has already destroyed a set of tires, one of the tires is now almost due again. Considering what has already been done with this vehicle before In recent years, I have not seen any test of any vehicle that had such a massive need for repair at such a low mileage. For me, the question is also which repair costs the owner of a vehicle has to expect outside the warranty, if all drive units are replaced in case of defects. Unlike the battery, Tesl a guarantee regarding the drive only four years, so if such a frequency of damage becomes a topic very quickly.

  • Accident of a Tesla Model S in the Netherlands

Hello I just found this short report. I don’t know if it’s already known here.http://ecomento.tv/…/

  • Prices for the Model S significantly reduced

Hello I have just seen that the prices for the model S have been significantly reduced.http://www.teslamotors.com/en_DE/models/design Entry price now 65,300€ 60kW without extras. Of course still high, but if they make any car loss (as it is said here in the forum), why do they do that? My wish combi would now cost over 3500,–€ less.

  • P85D in the Test Autozeitung

Quotation: We motor journalists sometimes exaggerate in the description of the impact that the acceleration of a car has on the occupants. For example: “The brute suit drives the driver’s pulse to unimagined heights. However, with the Tesla Model S P85D, which unmodestly claims the title of the fastest sprinting four doorr for itself, the acceleration actually has a clear effect on the human body. Tesla Model S P85D: faster to 100 km/h than a 911 GT3 And it doesn’t matter whether you’re driving or taking one of the up to seven seats in the Tesla. Because the P85D can also be equipped with two seats in the trunk, which are only suitable for children. When the American sports limousine runs off, the acceleration is felt stronger than in the Bugatti Veyron……

  • Tesla battery replacement station is under construction!

Hello, for all those who didn’t believe it and only dismissed it as a marketing gag to get certificates, here is the first battery replacement station built by Tesla!http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/…/…tting-first-battery-swap-station PS: Even if it’s nothing to do, but what is this already here in the Tesla Forum, during the construction work a car burned down at the neighboring gas station.

  • Software Version 11 in Model S/X “Refresh”

If I haven’t counted myself, we’ll only have three of us here for the time being, but the model S/X refresh also deserves its own thread for the software. Especially after yesterday’s first update after sales start in Europe with the version 2023.2.0.5 has been released. Apparently there are actually significant differences to 3/Y. The first is the automatic two-stage steering wheel heater, which is currently not (yet?) available in the model S/X. If the sign recognition works as promised now in Germany, someone would have to test it there. In Austria, however, you can now access the interior camera, even if the dog fashion is not active. It only has to be active the Sentry. The camera apparently also filmes in the IR area, since you can clearly see the interior, even though the car is in the floor darker garage.

  • Carbon ceramic brakes suitable for me?

Hello, I drive a Model S Plaid with the original steel brakes. For a sporty driving style these are rather less suitable. Now Tesla Carbon offers ceramic brakes. I do not know however if these are suitable for me or I should rather have another (better) steel brake installed. I drive with my dogs almost daily into the forest. That means I drive daily about 500 meters gravel road and a piece of forest road. Would the brakes be suitable for such an area of use? The brakes of my M3 had often caught a little bit in the brakes. That would mean a total damage to the carbon ceramic discs immediately, right? I had no carbon ceramic brakes so far and hope for your experience/knowledge.
