There is already a very short-term thing today with the end of the funding – had already expected that the funding will be overturned at the end of the year and last week another model Y ordered – paid on Di, received the papers on Friday – on Monday is admission – 10 hours too late for the premium of 4,500 euros – such a political decision cannot be announced on Sa with effect for So – people need a few working days advance, in order to possibly contracts, finance I am curious to see whether there will be a short transitional period on Monday, when the lawyers and ministerial conductors in the Ministry of Economic Affairs will have to implement this legally.

Model 3 & Y air conditioning, heating and ventilation
I am disturbed by the rising outside temperatures (in Berlin it’s almost 30 degrees the days) that my MY apparently turns off the air conditioning system for the passenger side every time the passenger seat is not occupied. That wasn’t my 2019 M3. Due to this behavior, the cooling performance is impaired overall, it’s simply too warm in the car. I would have to turn down the temperature dramatically again to make it acceptable. is there a way to prevent the air conditioning from being switched off on the right if the passenger’s seat is not occupied? In other words, can it be set in such a way that it always runs on both sides?

Recommendation Winter tires for Gemini rims
Hello everybody! After my MY LR is ready for delivery (beginning of September) a look at the calendar has alerted me. After everything I have found out, the MY comes ex factory with summer tires. I can drive that then still less than 1 month before I should put on winter shoes (O to O). So I am now looking for suitable winter tires for the Gemini rims. Do you happen to have a recommendation? Size should be 255/45R1 9. Can I simply buy a winter tire “indiscriminately” or do I have to pay attention to something (e-car and so on)? In spring I would like to order a set of pretty aluminiums to raise the summer tires. I certainly also have questions about this, but this is not sooooo important now Thanks for every tip and greetings from the south of D! René

USB-C port in the center console
Hello, I am very upset about the setting at Tesla, which deliver vehicles different from the order and test drive and then afterwards change the description both in the app as well as on the screen of the vehicle! In the center console there are 2 USB-C connectors, which were originally designed for loading as well as for playing music (audio files). During the delivery time Tesla however has deleted the audio functionality without any compensation. however, was important to me and is it not possible to compensate with a USB hub in the glove compartment, as Tesla now suggests. Question: are the audio connections still running on the US models or on new MY from Grünheide? Thank you

Autopilot – Basic package versus FSD
Hello, together; We tested a Model Y a few weeks ago (July-2023) The vehicle had loaded all the Autopilot upgrades (FSD) and in the short time we drove it, the Autopilot system actually did quite well, so short: * Sign recognition on the road: Most were registered * Takeover currently allowed speed: I mean that worked automatically * Curves: Track hold assistant works unscathed, braking before curves works e * roundabouts: braked down to the driveway, then manual take-over required(1) * traffic lights: always stop in front of a traffic light, even if green(2) * display: also shows the oncoming traffic (1): Apparently not allowed by EU directives (still?) automatic driveway into roundabouts? (2): Continued drive must be approved by the driver with the lever (also EU directive?) As far as so good. We have then bought an existing vehicle but only the base autopilot (so no FSD) and since t the behavior seems to be quite different: * Software version: 2023.20.9 * Sign recognition on the highway: Most have been registered * Takeover current speed: only with activated lane hold assistant and only by shift lever * Curves: Track hold assistant works without complaint, but NOT braking before curves * roundabouts: vehicle continues straight ahead if I do not take over before * traffic lights: shows traffic lights in the display, but ignores them * display: oncoming traffic will not be According to Tesla, this is all normal and the difference is that I have NO FSD more at the start now. The driving experience with autopilot becomes (for me at least) much more annoying because the assistants are constantly switching off instead of intervening. Now I would be interested to know if this fits your experience and if it is worth buying at least the EAP. So far I had the impression that the EAP actually only the automa But maybe there’s a good reason to buy it back… Thanks for every hint.

Hardware updates in ongoing production
Hello together, similar to the thread of the same name in the Model 3 Forum now also here for the Model Y a topic in which the hardware updates in the current production can be reported and discussed. Tesla does not have a classic model years, but allows changes to flow into the production continuously. I start here with two points, for which some have waited for sure. In the operating instructions have now appeared new: – a cargo space cover/hutablage – device for the Ladu ngsversicherung (Verrösen/Haken in the trunk) pictures are included. With the cargo space cover a few vehicles were probably delivered in Asia already, the lashings have not yet been seen on photos – but should then probably come into production soon.

Transfer from Passat / Travel Assist
Hello, first a few infos about my profile. I’m a lot on the road by car on long distances. About 50-60 tkm per year. A lot of highways but also country roads. I’m driving a Passat GTE at the moment. Some things are annoying about the car. BUT: I love the Travel Assist. The braking off in front of towns. The predictive braking against speed restrictions. The steering support that works discreetly in the background, but still not constantly “flys out” when I get a Gulli cover The situation: At the weekend we were able to do a test drive with a Model Y Performance. Overall we were very positively surprised. Equipment, workmanship and driving feeling was better than expected. The motorization is of course beyond any doubt. The charging was also top. Basically one can say: everything I had considered negative at Tesla was in reality better than expected. The point to load that with me as p In general, the car would be very interesting for me/us. Now comes the BUT: The point of asissence systems, which was set as positive in my strange brain, turned out to be very negative. Why? Overland the autopilot is practically useless. Every second turn the model Y does not get its own and when I intervene, the Assi shuts down. Compared to my passat B8.2 a step backwards. But that could not be the case. The fun of driving with the SuperNanny mode was ruined. What do I mean by that? The function that the autopilot permanently shuts down when he comes to the conclusion that I don’t have my hands on the steering wheel. What’s going on? I felt like a 4-year-old who is being banished by the SuperNanny to the quiet stairs because he was angry. I had my hands on the steering wheel. I just didn’t have enough roughed up. Because if I shake too much, the autopilot shuts down. If I shake too weak the SuperNanny comes. Thank you so much for holding on so far! Now a few questions: 1. Is there a way to turn off the SuperNanny mode? 2. Are there other changers who feel the way I do? Greetings!

Model Y Accessories at Tesla and from third parties
Hello together, like the Model 3 I open a thread on the topic of accessories for the Model Y (case room mats, matching boxes, sun protection, various gadgets, etc…). To start I link the entry bars, which I have installed in the Model 3, but which are also available in a version for the Model Y (both at Tesla as well as at other providers).

Frunk lighting 2.0
Hello together, today again something from the category „do-it-yourself: The lighting in the frunk is well known to be expandable, so now there is a like I find optically very appealing solution to buy from Ali: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005004752904359.html Installation is very easy and goes plug&play by plug at the opening button, the light conductor itself is simply pushed under the seal and the set used by me fits both for vehicle e with 12V as well as 16V on-board system – can be converted/coded for this purpose by slider at the control unit (see annex, with me the setting for 12V to see, but also an instruction in English is included in the set) and for each year of construction suitable cables are included. In the Model 3 with „oldem–Frunk I had to cut off about 1cm of the light conductor (for this are marked on it), for other models or years of construction it probably fits without cutting. either easy to clamp in, the nicer solution is to fill out the cover a little bit, so that the cable can be laid without being clamped in. I chose the white version, but there are also other colors or a variable version with remote control for the frunk disc. If someone asks how long that lights up: After about 10 minutes the light goes out on its own, then you can either activate it again through the unlock button in the frunk or the frun k close and open again. In addition to the attractive look, the lighting of the frunk is also significantly improved. The last two pictures in the appendix show the result. __ The theme fits for 3 and Y equally, therefore the thread is mirrored in both subfora.

Problems with automatic opening/closing
Unfortunately, I have to ask again. That with the automatic open and close when approaching or leaving somehow does not want to work. It went exactly once briefly. After the last software update then again no more. At the beginning we created profiles for me and my wife. Here of course also easy entry activated. We then also activated both mobile phones as keys. As far as it works. With the cell phone we can open and close. Afterwards I have in the first place In the meantime, however, there are two profiles with my name. Once I created this as well as the “Tesla” profile. I assigned the mobile phone to the Tesla profile, which is in my name. If so, everything should fit. In the iPhone, I have “always set up”. Nevertheless, this doesn’t work. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? AND: Where can I find the settings for the mobile phone connections in which I limp I don’t know which cell phone is standard? We didn’t have it in the Connect and wanted to do it afterwards. But I can’t get there anymore. I just can’t find the setting.
