Hey, after the update to iOS 18, CarPlay doesn’t work properly anymore. On the smartphone it shows that the connection is active but in the car the playback doesn’t start. If I want to rebuild the connection, he said that he could not connect. I then let the iPhone ignore the connection and set it up again, which also worked out. However, the connection was not established automatically again on the next trip and I did not e the same problems as before. I found an entry where it is said that some have a problem with it and the solution was that you have to activate the screen time for CarPlay. But that was already set with me, which is why I can’t expect any changes here. Do you also have problems with it?

Spring breaker rear axle
Hello all, I have a F54 Cooper S ALL4 141kW 2.0 Clubman Bj 2016. When I drove across Switzerland a few weeks ago, it suddenly popped so loud in the back that I had a trinitus. Fascit a broken original spring at the back left. Not quite safe. I never had this with my vintage cars with triple/m mileage and age. Therefore, has anyone ever had the same experience? The rear ones are both new now, but I don’t want to have the same such a break happens in the front.

Buying advice Mini Cabrio
Hello, my wife wishes for a Mini Cabrio and after I have absolutely no experience / idea of the Mini ́s I wanted to ask once in the round what you should pay attention to when buying. The Mini should be up from year 2015 up to approx. 40-50tsd. Kilometer. With the engine we would be free in the decision, can also be a diesel. With the engine would be only important to me that he has little problems and of the performance is sufficient to have some driving fun. Thanks already for your Experiences. Greetings Stefan

Buying advice Mini Cooper Automatic
Dear forum, after having struggled with me for several years, my decision has finally matured to give me a mini (as a second car), as long as I as an old bag do not make myself completely ridiculous in such a car. At times I have thought of living out my midlife crisis to the fullest and at least to buy a Cooper S, if not a JCW, but then reason has won: I cannot keep such a poison dwarf in line with species and as a second The Mini should replace a Skoda Fabia with 110hp and be used especially in daily commuting to work, with urban traffic and speed-limited motorway sections. Therefore, the choice has fallen on a Cooper automatic. Now my research has revealed the following alternatives: 1. New car can be paid in by the dealer, no attractive cash price or financing/leasing offers 2. Vario-Finanzierung übe r Sixt: For mini-ratio at present quite cheap (total purchase price after the end of the financing still slightly below the cash offer of the local dealer) No payment possible 3. EU cars from the well-known EU dealer: Also cheaper than local trade but hard to understand price list. Apparently the EU cars have a different standard equipment and not all extras are configurable. No payment. 4. Young used from the local trade. Mostly little attractive, Since minis are good at maintaining value and most offers have full hut, with many extras that I don’t want to pay (especially don’t want to pay) and which are used hardly cheaper than an individually assembled new car. However, there are currently also a large number of young, used minis that have apparently run as a rental car and are marketed quite cheaply. I wouldn’t have a problem with the rental car past. However, these vehicles have largely only accountants. I realize that I have to make the decision myself and I will do it myself, but I would like to have a picture of your mood and perhaps even a suggestion, which I have not yet thought about or which possibilities I may have missed so far. Thank you in advance.

Power sources for DSP amplifiers at the Mini Clubman
In addition to the W206 forum, I am also at home in the mini forum on Motor-Talk. 🙂 In a few weeks, my better half will get their Cooper Clubman from 2020. Since the car only has the standard sound system, something stronger has to be done. I have planned the system as far as possible, but I hope to get some tips about the power sources. In addition to the usual safety box in the engine compartment, I still have the one behind the glove compartment. Are there any other boxes or power distributors where I can tap the current for the amplifier (desirable value in the trunk)? _____ In case you are interested in what I want to install, here is a brief description of my project: Centrally the new sound system is to be controlled by a Match Up 8 DSP. The signals for front/rear channels are picked up directly on the radio. This is done by a quadlock on ISO T adapter and the ISO connection cable of the verse In addition to new Koax speakers in the front doors, the car gets new 2-Ohm underseat woofers, which are actively driven. Accordingly, they are separated from the original wire harness and equipped with a sparate wiring from the amplifier. The old cables are still used to fire the door speakers, since they switch in parallel in the origin. Matching sockets for bridge are already available. Thus, the system is operated over 6 channels. We’re in Cologne!

Weakness of approach / Second of thought
Hello. I don’t have to specify a car brand now. I’ve been desperately looking for someone in various forums for weeks who has found a solution for the lack of access or even a second of thought – independently of the car brand there is this topic, but apparently nobody has a solution. 90% of all drivers (who have already answered on other in forums) apparently don’t mind – I belong to the 10% And it only happens maybe once per 50 car rides – you don’t drive like the full-blown through the city traffic and not every traffic light is an invitation to DragRace. But there are situations that I want, or I have to react and/or quickly start driving. Examples: – “Town highway” three-lane, speed limit 60km/h, you drive up in the middle lane to the traffic jam and come to the stand, left lane goes off, and gets free, in the side mirror a vehicle comes about 40m away, turn signals out, give gas, want to quickly get to the left – but the car doesn’t start fast – it doesn’t start at all – after a second, because in the panic the accelerator pedal has already been pushed quite deeply it starts with a set – but the coming vehicle has already driven 20m in a second and now it gets quite tight and I take the other vehicle priority – I don’t think so – I hate people who do this with me… But there are countless examples of other car driving in all possible situations like Kreisverkehr, from a side road, from a parking space, etc… with all possible car brands with automatic gearboxes, whether DKG or converter. Is there already a solution? – And please no answers as with me not – ok, then you belong to the 90% – or, my Porsche does not have it – yes, my Porsche does not have it either, my jeep did not have it, I never had it with a vehicle – but the Mini has this “thinking second”. Is it because of the electronics? At the gearbox? Is that wanted – what can I do about it – it annoys me and makes me uneasy because I don’t have any confidence in my vehicle, because it doesn’t do what I expect it to do… Thanks and LG

Rugging of the engine at load
Moin people, I have a Mini Cooper Countryman (136hp, switch) for a short time. Now I noticed something that was not present during the test drive. If I give the car a high load in the high gear with little revolutions, then the whole car is jerking as if the engine had “shuck up”. Since then I no longer drive with little revolutions as possible, but hold the revolutions at approx. 2300 – 2500 rpm. However, this “shuck up” also comes when I am in sport mode with high U My guess is that the car dealership has fuelled E10 and that may be the problem. Now I’ve filled Ultimate 102 (if it doesn’t work for the acceleration, but I felt better with it) to see if it’s still there. And in fact it’s “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” and “sportl” are not very strong anymore. I’m still partly there. Have you ever heard of this?

Encoding display brightness with Bimmercode
Hello, I’m Bernd from Bavaria and new here in this MINI forum (I’m moving a lot in the parallel BMW 5 Series G30 Motor Talk). My vehicles are: MINI Cooper S Cabrio, year 2020, MINI Cooper, year 2008, BMW 530d Xdrive G30, year 2021, BMW M 1000 XR, year 2024. I’m working on my 5 Series BMW with Bimmercode and Bimmerlink. For the two MINIs I have now bought the OBD adapter UniCarScan UCSI-2100, with which these mentioned apps can be connected to the MINIs on an IPhone (the BMW h My question here to the coding experts: I want to get the display brightness of the display in the center console to the maximum permanently. Precisely: the PDC brightness (if this is active). I have not really dealt with this task thoroughly: Some time ago I put something in the normal menus of the car (without Bimmercode) brighter – but that was not permanent and hardly the maximum A brightness that I thought I’d noticed in certain situations (environment brightness). So, to the point: How do I get the brightness of the center console (PDC) display on MAXIMAL with or without Bimmercode? If so, expert mode in Bimmercode: which parameter with which entry? And similar question: the clarity to the rear is catastrophically bad in the convertible because of the wide C column. This can hardly defuse the PDC. CH a rear-view camera in an F56 or F57 at what costs with which experiences can be installed? VG Bernd

Roof rack WITHOUT railing for Mini Countryman ALL SE Hybrid (F60)
Hello together! I am looking for a roof rack for my Mini Countryman ALL SE Hybrid (Bj. 2017, i.e. F60). Unfortunately, it has no railing or mounting points. On the homepage of various manufacturers (e.g. Atera or Thule) only a list with railing versions is displayed in the vehicle-specific selection after input of Mini/Countryman/F60/… can it be that for my model – so without railing – there are no roof racks at all, respectively none fit? .B. at Thule so many different systems with vehicle-specific mounts, which one clamps into the door frame (so-called mounting kits). Has any of you ever mounted a roof support on an F60 series of Mini without railing, or experiences with it? If so, which products? Thank you for the answers!
