Moin, I’d like to change the chrome decorative rings at the front and back of my countryman, as I just don’t like them in chrome. You can buy them in Piano Black and build them on. However, part of the radiator grille is in chrome, the door handles are also chrome and the decorative strips are also chrome. Do you think it would look bad if I just changed the headlight decorative rings? Or is that too much “Misch mach”? eht. Would you like to give your opinion on what it would look like with black decorative rings?

Sporadic: cracking, hitting, clacking even with engine.. ?
Moin people. I have a little problem. My F56 SD from 2015 occasionally makes funny noises from the engine compartment. First to the car: 2015 Mini F56 SD with 170hp, 2.0L diesel and 225,000km. It does not light up any warning message, there are no errors, the car has full power and drives as always. The error cannot be reproduced, comes at least every third engine run – and goes on even a few seconds – although the engine is switched off. It doesn’t matter. whether climate on/off and it doesn’t matter if the engine is warm/cold. I once made a video of the noise. Does any of you think of something? For me, this could be a actuator? AGR? throttle flap? But then without a message? I am Ratlos.https://youtu.be/_eus4HTKvEQ?si=Cjl8fVgt_zs473-c Thank you.

Hello, I am currently interested in a used Mini One or Cooper F56. However, I have read that the first from the end of 2013 to April 2025 had problems with the crankshaft axial bearing. Now I have found a One, which was built however exactly during this period. Can anyone exactly say which engine is affected? According to research there are: – B38A12 with 1.2 liter displacement and 75 hp – B38A12U0 with 1.2 liter displacement and 102 hp – B38A15A with 1.5 liter displacement and 136 hp De r Car is just around the corner with me. According to the dealer, the car is not affected, yet I am unsure. Does anyone know something exact? I would be very pleased about a feedback. Ciao stevejudge

Restart operating system
Hello, I have the following problem. The MINI APP no longer works, so the message “No online connection” always comes. All data has been frozen since 23.10.. I had first thought that there is a server problem at MINI/BMW and wrote to the service team. I always use the app as route planning and then send the destinations to the Countryman. I used the function daily because it is my company car if someone asks why the app is so important to me. And I extended the service 8 weeks ago for a year. I was told that I should reset the operating system from Countryman, after that everything would work again. I understand that my MINI no longer has any contact with the server. I was told to do this: 1. Drive a car for at least 10 minutes 2. Park the car but don’t turn off the engine 3. Hold down the volume control for about 30 seconds 4. If the screen black, release the button, everything will run within 1 minutes r up and thus the problem should be fixed. I tried it. I tried it after 15 minutes drive or even after a 4 hours highway ride. Unfortunately my operating system does not drive down. The screen always stays on. I had then turned again to the service team. No more feedback, still rests the lake. Can someone help me? To the un/friendly I have no desire, only if everything does not help anymore. Thanks in advance!!! VG Patrick

Mini Cooper 2016 – Oil in water
Hello, my name is Sabine and I’ve had my dream car for 3 months – Mini Cooper with 190 hp, 105,000 km in white with some useful extras. Now I have a massive problem: “Oil pressure too low” at high speed (>140 kmh), the local screwdriver thinks that this would be the oil pump and would like to replace it for EUR 1,000. In addition from the beginning high oil consumption. No white exhaust smoke and no water in the oil. nd feels oily. Does it sound like cylinder head gasket, am I right? What does the exchange cost (in a free workshop) and are there any problems / special tools? Your opinion would be very helpful, thank you! Gruss Sabine

Mini Cooper Countryman (136 hp), driving report
Hello, I’ve been at Motor Talk for a long time but for the first time at Mini. Good day. We think to buy a new Countryman and have therefore made today a test drive with a Cooper with manual transmission. Are already older and the higher sitting position suits us very much. In short, my expectations have been exceeded. Very good handling with front drive. There were 17″ rims with 225 tires mounted, very good road position, nevertheless quite comfortable, had a tight driving But I am used to BMW driver and tight suspension. The automatic air conditioning system is efficient, the parking beepers with display on the display were very loud, but can be quieter. The sports seats are good and should definitely be clean according to the seller. The 3-cylinder engine is surprisingly quiet and gets louder only from 4000 rpm, so I was very positively surprised. The 136 hp are enough for us, mainly short distance and only sometimes longer. But if it is then around the outside arbe goes, it gets tight, for us actually only the standing color moonwalk grey with black roof remains. Red only looks good with the smaller minis, the countryman does not stand in our opinion. So in my opinion too few colors to choose from. Thanks for reading. ciao olderich

How long do your brake blocks last and what do you pay for a change?
Hello, I used my Mini Cooper D with 15,000 KM (Mini Drive Now) from a BMW dealer, beí 24,000 KM had to be replaced all around the blocks, for which I paid a dealer 628 €, incl. sensors and antiquitschpaste. now I drove with it 48,000 KM (75 percent highway, max directional speed) and on the way to work came the hint: “Precautionally driving, brake pads change” I do not know, of course, if now also the B I’m just interested in how often you have to change (blocks / disks) and what you have to pay for it, I’ll get back to you when the work is done and I know what was done and how expensive it was.

Mini F56 New purchase automatic
Moin, I intend to buy a new mini with automatic. Is there a double clutch transmission with 7 gears experience? Is that stable or just as trashy as with VW?

Hello together, we bought a 2016 Mini Cooper S JCW conversion at Mini at the end of February. The Mini runs really wonderful, he has only one problem with the RDKS. Due to the Corona crisis our complaint is now for almost 2 months. He had always lost sneaking air at the front left, went after about a week from 2.7 to 1.9 bar and accordingly always came the error message. The friendly one then changed even 2 tires in front but somehow the display is with the time It’s always different. Just under 14 days ago you get 2.7 and 2.5 filled in in the front and now it’s 2.5 and 2.3 and 2.2 and 2.4 respectively at the start. Is it always so different for you? Do you know it from my VW so that it shows a maximum of 0.1 bar difference and is even the same for everyone during the ride. With the Mini it was never the same. Greetings Patrik
