Hello together. As slowly as I get through the engines and so on, we want a Mini Cabrio R57 again. But each display has different engines on offer. From mid-2010 the facelift with other engines probably came. But what is the difference between the motors except in the power (Coper and Cooper S) control chain have as well as I have read all. Interval for the control chain?
Hello together, I love a Mini R56 (One or Cooper) and am especially concerned with its weak points. If I have understood everything correctly, the control chain theme seems to be in the first place here. My question would now be whether there is a kind of change interval for the control chain in this series – similar to the timing belt – or whether the chain along with spanner+glite rails is driven so long, until it is noticed by unsightly noises A short background to this: I visited a One with 100Tkm, which I like well, but which is noticeable after the stand gas reduction at (at first unobtrusive) cold start due to noise from the right side of the engine. The steering chain will probably still be the first. How is all your experience to evaluate? Control chain after 100Tkm definitely due? Or maybe even “finger off”? Central locking defective Countryman Cooper S All4 R60 Bj 2010
Hello dear forum, I have the following problem, with my R60 year 2010 you can only open the driver’s door with the key, central locking no longer works, only the trunk can be unlocked by radio. If you open the driver’s door with the key you can also open the passenger door and the rear doors n i c h t from the inside by hand!!, if I want to open the passenger’s door from the inside e.g., the door pin goes up, but snaps down again when I open the door r let go again and the door does not open, the same with the doors at the back! it is then almost only the door pin at the driver’s side above, with the door switch in the center console the other door pins can not be opened either! If I close the driver’s door again I can lock it from the outside with the radio key by a button, that works funnyly, but only open manually by key possible!! Has someone here an idea or already the same problem, so that I Knows what awaits me with the friendly one! Thank you for your help! P.S. should perhaps mention that the marten was also a few days earlier to visit the engine compartment again and has crushed the insulation of the bonnet, the problem with the central locking came but only a few days later!

Oil loss Mini Cooper S
Mini Cooper S I drive a Mini Cooper S from the year 2007. I love my sweet but I have to refill every 1000 km 1 to 1.5 liters of oil. I have been to the BMW dealer so many times and they tell me really, yes the problem is known but you don’t know where it comes from!!!!! So it’s my problem and in the worst case the engine gets broken at some point. I hear a rattle and then know oh oh now quickly check oil level and then it’s almost empty again. who can help me? Now they advised us to bring their own oil for cost reasons. But what oil does the mini like now? And how much does he need of it? Alternator defective R56
Hello all, I have a Mini R56, built in 2013 with 98 hp. Running power about 105,000 km. Diagnosis of the workshop: 1. Problem: alternator defective. Estimate exchange with installation of a new alternator 720 Euro. Pure cost of the alternator 525 Euro, minus 20% discount is still 420 Euro (however discount).What do you think about it? If I search online for new alternators for my car model cost all under 200 Euro and as I understand that are also n eue. Then probably no original components or? Do such other components make sense? 2. Problem: iwas with air conditioning problematic. I had a climate service made last year and for that the cooling liquid, which is still in the car, is clearly too low. That is, I should now pay attention to whether the performance of my air conditioning system continues to deteriorate.
