  • Rear flaps

… since a few days our CooperD enjoys driving over bumps (throwing holes, gulli lid etc.) with a flap that comes from behind. Thought it would be something in the trunk. But even after I have cleared the completely empty, the flap is still there. Also the tailgate is not, this rubber buffer has been screwed out a little further, flaps was still there. Over at the …info I have read about a defective rubber on the stabis of the rear axle, the so-called Has anyone ever had the problem with you? I hate it when something clatters on or in the car Heinz

  • MINI One 2008 – Nothing but trouble (engine)

We bought the car about 2 months ago and have only problems since then. It is a Mini One R56 1.4, built in 2008 with 95ps and meanwhile 91,000km. The problem is if you want to start the mini cold it usually goes out directly again. Sounds like the driving times are not right, but this always happens after 1-2 seconds. In addition, you can hear “Backfire” in the intake during the engine goes out. was recently already.. so read out and see there “Inlet camshaft control faulty” So first the usual culprits (inlet magnet valve and sensor replaced). So far so good.. Car ran since then (1800-2000km) however it has started again and worse than before. As soon as you hold the speed for a few seconds at approx. 2000rpm the mini runs quite normal until the next cold start. I don’t want to mention the oil consumption at all because obviously loud Forums “”normal””” is with the engine..

  • Speed dependent noise from engine compartment

Hello, the MKL lights up at my Mini One Convertible, EZ 06/2015. 97,000 KM. I’ve been hearing a clacker from the engine compartment for some time now, when you’re gasting. Also while driving. Do I kick the clutch, it’s gone…. Does anyone have any idea? Chain tensioner? Steering chain? Have only been on 14.4. appointment in the workshop. Thank you!

  • R58: Chain tensioner according to seller no topic at the facelift?

Hi, I got a coupe. The car comes from the dealer, ran 112,000 km and a year used car warranty. When I asked the seller about the chain tensioner, he said that was only one topic for the older Vorfacelift models. Is that true? At the cold start it is already huge, unlike in my old 3L Bmw. During the Fshrt I notice a screeching.

  • Mini R56 1.4 70 KW motor overheated – error coolant temperature sensor short circuit after mass

Hello, I’m new here. Got a problem with my mini. Short feedback what I’ve already done. After reading out the error memory, he signaled the characteristic field thermostat defective. (I didn’t have any more error code) Then I completely changed the thermostat housing, filled it, let it run warm and ventilated. Was extremely much air in it. Lots of pressure on the hoses, than cooked. Then I let it ventilate with vacuum/low pressure. Ging, but after 30-40 km the warning light went 2x Co2 measurement made, both negative! Errors read out, error coolant temperature sensor short circuit after mass, then I changed the temperature sensor. No improvement constantly overheats the engine. Were still 2-3 errors when reading out like 2AC3 Lambdasonde / 2D8E + C knock sensor / 287D Lambdasonde Can someone help me maybe!?

  • Mini Cooper runs on 3 cylinders

Hello everyone, my wife has a Mini Cooper from Bj.2007 that with the Peugeot engine 1.6 liters and 122 hp. A really great car and make the mood to drive ??. But now has always appeared in recent times a problem. It runs only on 3 cylinders. The 4th falls off. Control chain, all sensors, camshafts adjusters, spark plugs, injection nozzle and ignition coil everything new. It ran yesterday normal. Then I drove about 50 KM and turned off. In the evening we drove again and then n 10 KM again on three cylinders. When it comes to gas, a cloud out in the back. NO motor lamp. The spare parts are not out of the bay except the 4 sensors. The Mini ran 178000 KM. I pushed the in cold condition and about 11 bar on all 4 cylinders. I come from Trier maybe someone can help me who had this problem before. And maybe someone knows in which Peugeot this engine is installed everywhere? Thanks for the answers.

  • Oil way too expensive?

Hello, I was at ATU today and had 50€ in the hope of getting oil for my Mini Cooper. Then I first got some advice which oil I must take, he asked which car and even looked at the engine, all good and beautiful. When he had picked out the right oil I almost fainted, which wanted to have 30€ per liter. Mind you, I drive a mini with 116hp and not 911 with over 350hp. Now I have in the internal and Castrol 5W30 Longlife 4 oil found exactly what the Lord of ATU had shown me. Can I take it that way or is it a wrong one? http://www.ebay.de/itm/390595548495?…

  • New door from BWM workshop get and it is not 100% suitable

Hello dear Mini friends, I got a new passenger door because of a shunting accident. When I was able to pick up the mini after the repair, I didn’t really see it! The door had a loose 1.5cm distance from the car. At the top of the door was also so 1cm from the escape from the car. The Procar KΓΆln Nord BWM employee said this was so. A tolerance would always be there. It is never possible to get as in the origin… ??? And because the parts are manufactured in England and the Engl Well, I thought BMW Mini was a premium manufacturer… Is that really so? Yes, the door was then adjusted afterwards by the workshop and it doesn’t stand out any more, rather a little bit in and the savings measures could be balanced. The door presses the seal now very firmly in… 6 men were in the gray latzhosen. I also thanked the men after the setting but strangely, no reaction came… I h But I’m only 70 percent satisfied. The door will certainly sit down… Should I take it that way or what else can I really do? But how can I release the car for the customer with such a result? The expert didn’t see the damage as a loss because a new part is being installed. But if the new part of the car is not pushed or something like that, then it will look better and you’ve done your best, what can I say and do? If it’s a fake, don’t you believe me that it was done in a BMW contract workshop… did any of you have to have such an experience?

  • My Cooper D now gets the 3rd turbocharger

BMW Leipzig informed me today that the broken disk had been repaired, but that I should still be allowed to keep my replacement vehicle ( Mini Cooper Clubman ) for 2 more days. It was found that the turbocharger lost massive oil and I could not be left on the road anymore. Must still drive 600 kilometers to home. The thing is leaking and it must be a new one, of course at the expense of the house. Super ! Daf The first one lasted at least 10 months and almost 70,000 kilometers. When a customer (car supplier ) reported to me a year ago that he had built crap on the parts for the turbocharger, I still had the hope that the loaders will end up in the Mercedes, because he did not know which vehicles they are installed in, I have now such a clue. Are the ones from the Mini not from Borg Warner, he said the name as the buyer for whom he supplied.
