  • Buy Mini R50 with Midland transmission yet?

    Hello guys, I’m still new here and have my first question right away: My girlfriend is looking for a cheap mini that lasts 2-3 years at about 10000 km of driving performance per year. Now we have a nice Mini One R50 from 05/2003 with 150,000 KM tested. As price is stated 3800€ and Service+TÜV are new. The car is good in shot, has no rust at first sight and the engine sounds very smooth. When I now again the cross check here in the Foru m made the disillusionment came very quickly –> problems with the gearboxes. Now my question: Do you think the gearbox will last a few years if it has already run so long or do you advise us from the purchase? How do you find the price? Mini really has a ridiculously low value loss but my girlfriend just fell in love with the little one. Thanks already. Greetings screwi

  • Cooper S with JCW Kit differ from the series JCW… how?

    I ask myself whether there are optical distinguishing features, by which you can see whether you have a Cooper S with kit and 192hp or a series JCW with 211hp. Especially when buying a car, this would be interesting. You don’t have to drive many KMs, then you have to look at the papers to see that it’s not a “real” work.

  • Mini One R50, no wiping water on the rear wiper!

    Hello, have a Mini One Built 2003, R50, where at the rear windscreen wiper no water comes out. If I push the re. lever on the steering column forward I also hear no noise of the pump. I pull the lever to me from the water nozzles of the windscreen properly out the water. My questions: 1. Does the Mini One R50 have two wiper water motors? 2. If no, this means that the wiper water engine at the front is defective, because only the windshield water arrives. 3. What does the Mini One R50 have? Should I do to become master of the matter?   • F56 Cooper S Automatik – Second hand purchase questions

    Hello dear MINI community, my next one will most likely be a MINI F56 Cooper S automatic with 192 hp. Budget approx. 23k, from year of construction 2016 and as little km as possible (max. 25tkm). If you have ideas around Berlin, always like it. Infotainment, LED, cruise control are important to me, return camera and sunroof would be nice to have but not absolutely necessary, desired color would be orange, but is also not different. My questions relate more to the durability. Just like I have noticed that the models are quite solid and from BJ. 2016 the most diseases should also have been eliminated? The B48 engine doesn’t make any noise? My goal is to drive the car about 5 years and 100tkm (the vehicles I currently have in view would then have run up to 8 years old and 130tkm) – the car has to be measured, does it pack this without major repairs? Furthermore: An interesting car is about 350km away, BMW and Mini dealer, 1 year old, under 10tkm Is it possible to buy such a car over the telephone? Speak the questions over the phone, send the contract and check again and if everything fits pay the car and arrive first for collection? Or is that too risky? I think that I can save myself the on-site appointment too, because what should I find on such a young and a few km driven car what I can not ask for by phone?   • MINI – One or Cooper?

    Hello dear motor-talker! I have already informed myself about one/cooper and if I would buy the part anew, it would be clearly the cooper. However, this does not give the budget and therefore should become a used one. I had two offers made to myself today and can not decide. However, since I am also under 25 and still one year in the probation period, the insurance would also play a small role (I will calculate again). ff me from you a few more objective and better arguments (as my own) for the one or the other To the cars: The Cooper is EZ 03/09, 120hp and has 80,000km The One is EZ 11/09, 95hp and has 41,000km Both have the same equipment and should cost 11,000€.   • RDKS F56 Winter tyre change possible without any problems?

    Moin, I drive a Mini One F56 Bj 2015 with active RDKS if I see it right. Now I can easily change the question of winter tyres on rims if the tyres also have RDKS? So without what needs to be changed in the control unit? I would like to order a complete set of tyres at Reifen.com or something like that, there is the RDKS pre-programmed on my vehicle… Thank you for the answers.

  • Top speed is not reached

    Hello, just have a longer highway tour behind me and it has to be noted that the top speed of 228 km/h is not reached by far on a level track. Clubman Cooper SD, Sportautomatik, EZ 2017, 190 hp. According to appearance 228 are registered. Reaching I do on level track and long run but only a maximum of 222. If you take the tacho deviation into account the car does not drive even 220… Does anyone have experience with it? What is your Clubman SD running?

  • Cooper S doesn’t start, just gives a “crack” sound (battery is ok)

    Hi, I have a Mini Cooper S R53, yesterday I drove 200 kilometers without any problems. This morning I wanted to work quite normally, But there was only a crack noise. Engine does not start, or turns.. Battery came new 2 years ago. I then called the Adac. The checked the battery, and it is perfectly fine. He then tried to bridge the front of the engine compartment and then directly at the back of the battery. Both without success. More than the clacking did not come. Then me And then he tried to push the hand. Of course he didn’t. Then he said something was blocking the engine. Can that be? I mean, if a gear is in place you can’t push it at all, right?     Moin people, since my Bora has not survived the last few years and the family has also become bigger and bigger I have since changed to your Touran Bj. 2011.
