  • Mini R56 (2007er) does not pull, control chain defective???

    Moin, my friend’s mini can’t drive any more. The following situation: It was only a slow driving … not faster than 20 KM/h … possible. When starting the engine raced briefly and he didn’t pull properly. At one traffic light the engine went out and could be started again after a little time. After that my friend could only drive home at very low speed. The engine could only be driven underboard. It did not light up any control lamp during this whole time. The mini was towed to a workshop. Result: too little oil and the control chain should be renewed. Cost 1.90€. The magnetic valve was already changed for 160€ and did not bring any improvement. What do you think of the workshop diagnosis? To the Mini R56: 120,000 KM, N12, 1 year in possession and very well maintained. Can it only be located at the very low oil level that it is no longer really mobile? Or can it actually be located at the control chain? That had not caused any problems until now and was not heard before. Anyway, I want to change it from the ‘favorable’ workshop and then.

  • A taillight without function

    Hello dear forum members, We have recently also become the owner of a Mini Countryman 1.6d. When purchasing the vehicle we noticed the error message: “Back and brake light on the left defective”. Without thinking anything bad we bought the car. It is not affected the complete tail light, but only the upper light bulb is completely dark. After replacing it remained without function. Then we measured the current on the plug and only then found that there is no voltage on the contact. The cable harness seems to run forward on the right side of the vehicle (probably in the direction of the fuse box). Would someone help us and tell us in which direction we could look further? We would be very grateful for every tip!

  • Start/stop automation failed

    Hello, with our Mini Countryman (1.6L, manual switch) it is now indicated that the start/stop automatic has failed. Further drive possible, should be checked by the service operation. We drive the car since 2016, but start-stop automatic was never in operation (have never found a switch where you could have switched it off, as for example at Audi). Does anyone have a similar problem?

    Hello. I have a Countryman 2.0 d automatic all4 year 3.2012. So now to the problem. Battery was defective because of stand-up line. New pure and…..nix. No ignition……….only warning flasher go. Key remote control nix. Well Nu can be battery in the key empty. But it would still have to work. Yes new battery has power. Error read out, c91e , 4121,4661,c418, Can someone help? Is there a fuse or something. It really does not work. Interior light…………Everything went without function. Just read out. Battery key is ordered. I solder then. Stupid invention Mfg Roland

    Hello together, I am relatively new in this area, but am currently interested in whether it is possible in my mini One r56 with currently a n12b14a engine to install a n18er, now aside from the fact that I would use then also new gearbox. Is this possible at all? As said this is still relatively new territory for me but I am very interested in working in the matter more. I also have to work in front of the car then with a JCW kit. Therefore the question if it is possible, how are the estimated costs and effortless of the engine. I mean at the last I would also possibly go to the consideration just to pick up another mini and make this one around, but I would rather install in my current n18 engine because I bring a lot of contact with this car. Would I be very pleased to hear your opinion about it very seriously.

  • cas&: K-CAN line error

    Hello, I recently had a chip replaced on the ECU with hope the error goes away (CY320). The error has unfortunately remained. I also have a k-Can error, I think the errors come from it? Does someone vlt know about it or had the same error. Thanks in advance, photos of error codes are in the attachment it is a Mini cooper clubman Bj 2011 98ps with almost 155,000 km. I had at the beginning only the error with the sensor CY3520 and Ped The errors are still to be seen in the photo. It only arrived at and sometimes this k line error occurred. The deleted and then he did not come for a while. I changed the pedal module but did not bring that. I then asked in the forum here and I was told by someone who had exactly the same error picture that it was the sensor. So sensor and pedal encoders and the K line error remains permanently there in the engine control unit and the other ECU is still inside. Maybe all errors from the K line error are?     Hello together, we bought a 2016 Mini Cooper S JCW conversion at Mini at the end of February. The Mini runs really wonderful, he has only one problem with the RDKS. Due to the Corona crisis our complaint is now for almost 2 months. He had always lost sneaking air at the front left, went after about a week from 2.7 to 1.9 bar and accordingly always came the error message. The friendly one then changed even 2 tires in front but somehow the display is with the time It’s always different. Just under 14 days ago you get 2.7 and 2.5 filled in in the front and now it’s 2.5 and 2.3 and 2.2 and 2.4 respectively at the start. Is it always so different for you? Do you know it from my VW so that it shows a maximum of 0.1 bar difference and is even the same for everyone during the ride. With the Mini it was never the same. Greetings Patrik

  • Mini F56 starts badly

    Hello, I already told him another post about my mother’s mini. He makes cracking noises at the cold start.(Probably heat protection sheet) A few days ago, however, started to make a very tinned noise at the cold start. How he would have a short oil shortage. After about 10 minutes we started him again to drive up and down the road once again.
