  • More than 6.5% discount on 911 Carrera S (997) possible?

Hello dear Porsche friends, I want to order a new 911 Carrera S for May 2006 (= date of delivery) (total value 101000,- €). My Porsche dealer tells me that he cannot give more than 6 percent, it is his extreme offer. Usually his maximum 5%, he claims. Is that true? Does anyone of you know a dealer who is happy to sell a Porsche with a higher discount? I would be very grateful if I could find out the address then. Thank you in advance to all who help me! 🙂

  • Cayman S with 19″ PASM, yes or no?

Help call !! Hello, I have now decided for this magnificent driving machine called Cayman S and now just ask me the question if I can test with the optional PASM in conjunction with the already ordered 19″ rims still a real improvement of the performance, or if the whole then becomes almost “hoppy”. I can test from my dealer a Cayman with 18″ tire extensively and must say that the road after activation of the PASM button rather subjectively developed towards the track and at the same time I got a higher steering precision. One should perhaps mention in this context that I currently want to drive a curvaturely fun machine called Lotus Elise MK2, which is now replaced by the Cayman S. The question is now the : If I sit in the Cayman S on a nice curvy track my “5 minutes” would only be able to get my ride and lotus-like right now to hit the track…smile… I would then get in conjunction with my 19″ and the PASM which the car would not reach even more than one centimeter of the ride would be meant to do it anyway.

  • Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment

Hello Porsche-Gemeinde, is almost a little uncomfortable to post here with a “Cayenne” question, but I’m just trying… I’m still working on the equipment of my future “raising cabinet wall”… Does anyone have the Rear Seat Entertainment system here? Will they still be driving to the PZ this week, but would like to know if it’s worth it. Have already seen a Cayenne, where such a system has been retrofitted (by Alpine?!), but is certainly more expensive than taking it directly from the factory or? Greeting Björn

  • Tricky question to the tire and rim experts

I would like to make the 996 Turbolook II rims (which, for example, were standard on the 996 4S) in order to “justify” the look of my 996 Turbo. Here’s the question: The 996 Turbolook II rims have the following dimensions VA 8J x 18, ET 50 HA 10J x 18, ET 65 (EDIT: I was wrong. ET is 47!) Now I wonder if I could mount these rims on my 987 Boxster. I did not enter this size naturally, but from the wheel castes there would be no problems. At the moment I drive the following size (original Boxster S wheel): VA 8J x 18, ET 57 HA 9J x 18, ET 43 The hole circle might be identical. Perhaps you could overcome the different ETs over distance rings… Hmmm… well, don’t know.

  • SA Turbo/TurboS Comparison…Nissan GTR

So the TurboS is hardly faster, like a normal turbo with all extras. 3s on the NS, after all 1.2s on the small course Hockenheim. 0.2s on 200, 0.2s 200-0, a bit better drive at the rear. The TurboS costs 174,000Euro and is thus almost twice as expensive as a Nissan GT-R. This one had on it during the tests, but the Turbo S didn’t! Now the Nissan 6s on the NS and 0.1s on the HR is faster. Well, the Semi-Slick sports tyres will be said to be difficult to drive in wet conditions in everyday life. Well, the GT-R 5s is faster than the Turbo/TurboS… Think also this as the basis here the values of the GT-R model 2010 etc. were given, not yet the improved, stronger GT-R facelift model, but it has also become more expensive, you have to admit fairer whites. Now it should be finally clarified that the GT-R a machine, if the price of the GT-R does not beat very good despite the fact.

  • 930 3.3 Turbo or 993 Turbo ?

Hello, I have to buy a Porsche Turbo. I have looked at various models, but I haven’t driven one yet. In question comes for me either the Porsche 930 Turbo with the 3.3 liter engine or the 993 Turbo. So I want to invest between 50-60tsd €. Now my questions to the specis here: 1. Is there a preference in terms of value retention or even value increase? 2. Is there any older Turbo years that are to be preferred? 3. Are there things for both, which absolutely should be taken care of when buying? 4. Which Turbo is more fun? (I know, drive and test myself, but I lack a little time and vl. there is someone of the two Turbos ) Finally a 930 Turbo, which I like well:http://suchen.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… What do you think about it? Thank you for your answers.

  • Porsche: 130 grams of CO2 cannot be achieved

Hamburg (ots) – In an interview with ZEIT, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chief Development Officer of Stuttgart’s sports car manufacturer, said that the limit of 130 grams of CO2 per kilometre for the European automobile fleet should not be applied to individual manufacturers such as Porsche. “We alone cannot achieve this value.” Neither would other premium manufacturers, such as Mercedes, BMW or Audi, be able to do so. • What luxury SUV?

Hello dear MT community After I asked about 3 months ago, which Suv you would take, I swung between cayenne S and bmw X5. But due to an unexpected inheritance, my need or financial reach shifted more towards luxury SUV. Choose from Cayenne Turbo from Techart , Spyker D12 , or Range Rover sport. I know that these are quite unnecessary problems but I just wanted to ask for your opinion. Personally, I tend strongly to Spyker D12 (which you have to wait for a certain time) because it is simply something extraordinary and I like the look very much. Lg Alex

  • 944

I write for a friend. He made his driver’s license a year ago and is now looking for a car. He didn’t like a “standart car” all golf, Corsa, A3 etc. and is now looking for a car that doesn’t everyone has. He thinks the 944 is good and I should inform myself now. All my (his) questions are, how many must he spend on a good car, which is safety (ABS, airbag etc.), depreciation, running costs etc. And is such a car about head for a beginner good or too dangerous?

  • Oldie – 911 T Targa

hello community, I have been watching for a while (not so intensely to know myself really well) and have the plan in mind to buy a 911 that is similar to me. currently a 996 cabrio decorates my garage and feels somehow lonely, (do I have the feeling) and not only because I want to bring color to our otherwise black driving park, but because I just want one like this, I am looking for something like this:http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/da.pl?id=111111240597282 the price comes to me, especially from a dealer, rather favorable? what do you have to consider with such years of construction? I am not the big screwdriver. can you do rather little yourself. or do you think the fingers leave away from something like that? thank you for your opinions… cu xen
