In the medium term, I could imagine making a detour into the Porsche world. The new 987/997 convertibles are already very attractive models. I think that the boxster in particular has caught up qualitatively. But I also like the 911er as a convertible super good. I have kept up the question of everyday suitability. Sure, a Porsche is not suitable for the Ikea trip, but you also have a station wagon. But is it a full-fledged second car at all? I mean, can one use such a Porsche Cars in every weather dare their unavoidable trip to the office? Even in the snow? I am concerned about the relatively low ground clearance, so about 10-11 cm. Isn’t this a significant problem in practice? My colleagues from the deeper group of 3 have their problems with it, especially in winter on uncleaned roads/parking places.

SL 55 AMG (R230) purchased… π
So… after a long and mature consideration, I return to MB and signed today a purchase contract for a SL55 AMG in Obsidianblack. Now my Nick fits again. Is a used (from 1st hand, MB stitch-book maintained, in absolute original condition) with 60tkm on the clock from year 6/2002 (so already with the 500 HP certified machine). I will pick up next week Thursday at our MB branch. After a short probation time the SL55 should then the Tu rbo and the boxster in my racing stable. Had thought about taking a 996 Turbo convertible… but no… find the SL somehow nicer. And the magic of the number “500 hp” can hardly be seriously eluded either. Besides, the 55s sounds really grippy (compared to the Porsche series exhaust). Well… wanted to announce that I will soon be a little more active in the Mercedes forum and not so much in the Porsche Forum anymore… *schnueff*

993 or 996 buy do ?=??
HI LG, (loving community) I have now finally decided to get my 11s. After the test drive 1996 with no 993 until today has not faded I simply have to do it, no matter what woman says. (That is somehow against, however, I don’t care if we first blow through the Ticino in the convertible is also convinced). I am just not yet conclusive whether I should take nn 993 or rather nn 996. Budget is at 35k. 993: Advantage air-cooled, cool sound, optically in my opinion r most beautiful Porsche ever. Disadvantage not so suitable for everyday use, rather a Sunday nice weather car. 996: More performance, better driving performance, more modern car, better available on the used market. Disadvantage: Visually not to bear from the beginning, Simmerring problem. Since I prefer a more modern car it will probably be a 996. What do you think what I forgot?

Comparison Cayenne S with BMW X5 4.8iS
Does someone know both cars and can therefore say which one is more fun? I am thinking about which of them I should order. Besides the spas factor, I also have to think about the trunk (family). I will not drive into the grounds. Thank you!

In search of up-to-date pensioners in fast cars
For a photo art project, I am looking for seniors who are actively shaping their lives … for example, driving a sports car … and who want to be photographed during their activities. The photos will be part of an exhibition that will be realized in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and will be shown internationally. I would be delighted to be able to participate in this project. Ute Mahler Contact: [email protected] Reference address: OST KREuz – Agency of Photographers, www.ostkreuz.de

Porsche newcomer with a few questions…
Moin moin, I am 28 years young and a long dream in me tells me again and again that when I am 30 times I would like to call a Porsche convertible my own. But since I have decided at the age of 25 for a house first, and that costs the next years still a little it will be nothing with a good used for 20-30 TEuro because we can still do a lot more at our hut. But since I have the opportunity every 3 years to lease a new car about the company and the cheapest Porsche starts at 43 TEuro and with a little equipment maybe still a few percent goes also for under 50 Teuro I still have a few questions. Porsche inspections have to be carried out by a contract workshop. Do you usually get a replacement car at your own expense? The next workshop is 60 KM away π How often should a Porsche for inspection? My current Audi only has to have all 30 TKM and the HΓ€nler is here in the place? a test report about the smallest Porsche somewhere online? Greetings Schulle PS: Is there a list of all the model names of Porsche somewhere here? So what is a 996 and from when to when it was built.

From TT to 987???
Hello Porsche Forum municipality! I’m out here as a newcomer and still TT driver. I’ve been driving a fully equipped TT CoupΓ© 180 hp with MTM exhaust system (two-flooded). I decided on the TT at the time because I really liked it (it’s a taste thing, but I still think it’s nice!) , the car gives me a lot of driving pleasure and I could afford it –Cash– (I’m old-fashioned, and don’t blame myself for a car) I never had trouble with the TT, d he processing is very high-quality (it still does nothing and the car is extremely torpedo stiff) and since the collection at the factory also a bit Audi enthusiast. So much for the history. Now I think about buying a 987 boxster. Not because the TT is no longer fun for me, but after 4 years at the latest is a good time to upgrade (the new TT model comes 2006. Therefore prefers to sell before) In my current life phase I also want a sp Asscabrio, before I have to buy a pair π In this post I want to clarify the question: Boxster or the Boxster S: I have read many threads on this topic here, but maybe I can also get an answer from similar thinkers to my situation. Would the 240 HP Boxster be enough as a upgrade when you come from a 180 HP TT? I am not a proven racing driver, but I still ride a slightly hotter boot sometimes. Would 80% I didn’t want to be driven to the wall by any GTI-s (nothing against GTI drivers in principle, but with a Porsche I would be angry at that). I drove a Calibra Turbo in 1994 (youth sin π ) and at 245 km/h I pointed out some older Porsche on the middle track. That was certainly not so great π The extra charge for the I don’t want to be annoyed for 3 years either, not to have taken the step to the “S”…
