After spending the last few hours searching through this forum and unfortunately rather with popcorn food and reading “socially critical” topics with some A-classes as actors, I thought of my real question again. 🙂 I intend to buy a beautiful 993 turbo. Unfortunately I have no experience with the Porsche brand, except for a small intermezzo with a 996 convertible. In this respect I am interested in tips regarding the What should I pay attention to (year of construction, engine or its revision, etc.). I am also interested in opinions on WLS (there are two, or?). As a budget I thought about about 60-70 T-EURO and hope to find something reasonable for it. The search function (actively this is always mentioned first in each forum) did not bring any further results. Also the information of the local PZ (HN and S) were rather modest (except the Council d) It would be nice if you could help me here. Thank you very much in advance. Greetings, Jens

flap exhaust for cayenne turbo s
Hello people my father has recently grown a Cayenne turbo s the car is really a balance, exterior, interior and driving performance are really top, only the motor sound reflects my opinion not quite the concentrated 521ps. have already asked me at speedart and techart for a flap exhaust system, but the prices are exorbitantly high (at about 3990€ without mounting). do you have a cheaper system in mind? would help me a lot. many thanks already for your labor. lg mirko

Cayman – A sports car of the past?
Hello, I quote from a comparative conclusion of the magazine “Auto” (No. 21/20.9.06) about the Cayman: “For example, the Cayman is clearly in the lead in the classic sports car qualities, especially since it also slows down better. However, the consequence of its determination, its straightness and credibility also offer attack areas for cars that do not interpret the term sports car in this authentic way, which is now untimely for many buyers.” (Old PR wisdom) Greetings Kühli

Great offer for 964 – should I or should I not?
Hello dear motor talk community! The following case is presented: I was offered an offer for a 964 Carrera 2 BJ 1990 90000 km. To be specific: 10000 – 12000 Euro. Before the question arises: Yes the offer is seriöus, because the seller is an acquaintance of us (KfZ-Mechaniker). He bought the car very cheaply (cylinder head seal was probably broken), but now builds it up again completely, or lets the important things at Porsche do (knows there probably someone Well, so far everything sounds great, but now the big BUT comes: I’m only 18. It’s not as dramatic as it sounds: Since I’m active as an actor, I have a monthly income not to be despised. Now the question arises, however, what I have to pay for maintenance – the purchase price is just a part of the whole thing. You can let out the insurance price now, but what else comes to me besides petrol costs? How much KM does an inspection have to be done and what does it cost in a PZ? Which factors are still to be considered? Thanks already for the answers

Porsche 997 or 996 Turbo
Hello, my Cayenne-Leasing will be running out soon and I want to drive a “real” sports car again the next few years, actually the choice was already clear, a simple 997 – but now I have looked around a bit and found that at the price there is also relatively new 996 turbo and I think that this is worth considering. In my PZ alone 3 are the ones that would be in question about the color and the age. Quite apart from the current K east, what speaks for and against the 996 turbo compared to a 997. Has someone a comparison, one (996) and 997 already driven several times and does not like the interior at all, driving has been fun. Mfg Marky

On the subject of France
OK, give some off topic here in Porsche, but also France… On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the pumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur. No stretches were closed, for Lelouch was un enable to maintain a permit. The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, approaching almost 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly lifting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets. Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago.http://video.google.com/videoplay?… Gruss von Einem, who now has to have his ears tested…

Beautiful rims for 996
Hello, I’m looking for beautiful rims for my 996. I wanted to buy something special, but for Porsche there aren’t such great rims in my opinion. You often see multi-part CUPs or Techart… Does anyone know other beautiful rims? Or does someone have a picture of a 996 with turbolook rims in car color, would be an alternative too. Once I have a new engine I’ll get nice rims.

Porsche GT 2 / Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
Hello, here’s what happened to me: I was on my way to the Nürburgring on Sunday when I had something yellow behind me in the rearview mirror on the highway. I think, let go of the time. When I was behind it and gave the stuff, I didn’t get too surprised. I couldn’t get any closer to a car for the FIRST MAL. The distance between us was the same. He didn’t get away, I couldn’t get there. Who can tell me a few dates or driving performance from this rocket and Is there anyone here who drives such a bullet??? My (118 hp) drives according to Tacho 284 and accelerates according to “Motorcycle Test” to 100 in 3.2 and 200 in 9.9 sec. Thank you for your information Greeting Christian

997 Carrera S on the slopes (Anneau du Rhin)
Today was on the track with my machine (997 Carrera S, sports exhaust, gear reduction). It goes great, even with the Michelin road tires. At 32°C the rubber went off like the butter from the bread but the car helps the line like a carver. On this track you have no problems to stay on a GT3(380hp). Spontaneously from the corners the Carrera S on the straight gets really good driving. In the rear-view mirror I always saw a Ferrari 355 and a Benz SL 55, which has Well, there was another one with a McLaren SLR: in the corners he drove along, but on the straight I thought I was going to be hit by a train now!!! Brutal! A Galiardo was also there: goes great, sure the league of the coming GT3, we can be sure to be curious. I was in Anneau du Rhin for the 5th time with a Porsche. Do you know the track? Do you have experiences. I saw a pile of junk there again today. This time a Murcielago for sFr. 450000.- in total shame This track is dangerous, indeed! Oh yes, there was one more thing: a professional (don’t know the name) in an old DTM Ford Cossworth, we could all just keep the line and apparently let a UFO fly by. That’s just another world. Write something real back guys, not just bring in stupid topics under the motto: “Have Porsche driving a longer or a shorter…?” or something like that, this shit doesn’t interest anyone. Your butt is what counts. Thank you…
