  • Help with the purchase 911-996/997 (Schwacke?)

Hello, since our children are now self-employed, I would like to fulfill a youth wish “Porsche 911”. I have carried out a first market observation and notice that my old guideline / basis “Schwacke-Bewertung” is apparently not applicable for a Porsche used car purchase. The prices of the offers are significantly higher. e.g. Caprio 911 4S/996, 09.2004, 50tsd. Km, for 50,000Euro (Schwacke 38tsd Purchasing, 44tsd. Sale). The extras and the perfect condition are taken into account. Is this private offer ok anyway? Are there other tools for orientation or is this market determined only by offer+demand? Please don’t get me wrong … It’s not about a bargain hunt but about a fair price and thus a good feeling after the purchase. I would be happy about opinions/experiences … Thank you

  • Switching paddles with and without multi-funtion steering wheel and functions

Hello, I take the following pictures, that the type of shift paddles changes if you can install the multifunction steering wheel. without multifunction steering wheel:http://files.porsche.com/…/normal.jpg?… with multifunction steering wheel:http://files.porsche.com/…/normal.jpg?… Can anyone give me an assessment, which of the swings are probably better to use? Without having done a test drive, I see that the swings are bigger and easier to hit without Mufu, one can either With Mufu, on the other hand, the seesaws are slightly smaller, but can be switched up and down on both sides. In addition, which functions can be operated with the steering wheel? Of course: Accept and hang up the phone, probably change volume (what happens when you press this roller? Is directly muted?), scroll through menus or tracks and switch back a level. But for example, what is the middle button on d He left side? Greetings

  • 997 4S Tiptronic – too high consumption?

Servus dear Porsche fans! I have a more or less small problem with the consumption of my 911 convertible. That swallows in the city good 23 liters. Highway and longer distances, no problem, around 14 liters. But if you read in the city ranges of 280km, you get a bit stutzig… The car has run just about 3000km, I think the consumption would have had to settle down now slowly or? Two acquaintances of mine, both a S with manual Sch 5 liters difference due to all-wheel drive and Tiptronic? Also here in the forum I read only positive reports about the consumption of the 911. Everything is very strange… I’m actually very happy with the car, also find it beautiful, but I have the impression of having caught a Sunday car (had already problems with the side windows in the back, but was fixed). ig the joy. Of course, a sports car can swallow something neatly but why pay more than others with the same model… Now comes the facelift with direct injection and PDK (my dealer said in January, when I bought mine, that this is not to be expected before 2009, especially not with the four-wheel models), which should both reduce consumption again, the joy is clouded even more. Therefore, would I be happy about a few consumption values and opinions of you! first post so please don’t be too strict with me Thanks already in advance for every answer. PS: In this case a change would be possible? Don’t know about this at all but would also be happy about some information here.

    Good afternoon, I would like to buy a slightly older (1980 – 1996) Porsche. • 1-2Questions on 911 997 + purchase advice

Hello,I drive an A3 1.8T DSG from 2013 and am very happy with the car, as a fun car I had a BMW Z4 from 2007 to 2013 – was a great car but I drove only 3000Km per year and left it then – always when nice weather was I had no time to drive 🙂 Now I think about a Porsche 997 after – so as a season 2nd car March to October. If I look through at Mobile there are already many great cars around the 35000Euro. However, I like the i don’t have the front lift models the rear lights and if you are looking for models from 2009 you have to spend 10000Euro more… I often see models from 2006-2007 that already have the new rear lights – I assume they are retrofitted – what does that cost about? fear of engine problems I have something of course – you leave a lot – can you say with the Facelift model 345/385Ps there are fewer problems – like with the 325/355 engines? All-wheel I don’t think… PDK is definitely great – if the Tiptronic S suits me – I will ask for a test drive next week at Porsche. I am also invited to the TTS premiere next Saturday at Audi, but again buy a new car with the loss of value – I don’t know… I also like such a 5-6 year old 911 better 🙂 Thanks in advance – if someone has a few tips…

  • Porsche Cayman S or 996 as the first Porsche

Hello together I wanted to make my dream come true at the end of the year and finally buy a Porsche. 25 years was waiting for me now enough.. Currently I drive an Opel Insignia and my wife a BMW e46. Since I have no money or space to put up a third car, probably the BMW has to be sold. This means that my wife would have to drive every day with the Porsche 30km federal road to work. Of course, you are happy because we both have great pleasure in the brand (better Mytos) Porsche n. However, I am unsure whether a Porsche will make this “short distance” operation in the long term. I wanted to invest a maximum of 3500€ in price. So I directly noticed a 911 from 2003 or a Cayman S from 2007 with each about 70tkm. Since my father-in-law after his 996 now moves a 2011er 997 S he advises me of course to the 996. However, I am uncertain whether a “real” 911 as a everyday car might not blow the frame after all. o now: 1. Can one generally say something negative about one of the two cars ( 996 BJ 03 320hp 70tkm Handschalter/ Cayman S BJ 07 70tkm Handschalter)? 2. Is there a big financial difference in the maintenance between the two? 3. Would you buy a P at all under the above circumstances? Questions about questions. Would I be pleased about answers. But I already have one advantage: I don’t at least have to convince my wife^^ Dear Greetings Tordi

  • 911 g50 or 997

Dear MT-members, I would like to buy a 911er and think about whether it should be a G50 or a 997. I would drive a lot of short distance (11km) and from time to time on the highway. I like to heat and therefore my question: how long do 13 liters of oil in the dry sump lubrication take to get warm? Even if the types are very different, I see the charm in both. I used to drive S500, S500 4matic, S400 Hybrid, BMW 530, SLK, so here doesn’t write a dip. For the G50 I would T30 and d en 997 T40 jump. PLEASE NOT COMMENTARY OB I am in a position to travel TECHNICAL, FINANCIAL, ALTER etc., that is the only thing I do not like so much at this forum….otherwise you have always been helpful…. Rejoice me very much in reply… Greeting hk

  • Purchase 996 Targa

Hello together I looked at a really well-kept 996 Targa at the PZ, EZ 1/05, 41,000 KM, last inspection at 31.000 KM. Except for a “knister noise” from the back seat area or possibly also tailgate I noticed nothing negative. The PZ would give me 2 years approved guarantee, the proud price for the really well-preserved “favorite piece” would be 44,000 Euro. I worked extensively on the engine problems of this series (KWS etc.). PZ already a new Simmerring. Do I have to keep something in mind? Is the price still OK? I would be very grateful for hints, many greetings Wolf

  • Stolen 996 Turbo has reappeared, BUT…

The whole story is so incredible that it can be a real fear and fear. In short: at about 5:45 p.m. on the lively Berlin Kurfürsten Damm a Porsche 911 Turbo was stolen in Berlin. So far so good. However, this was found only a few hours later, to be exactly on 13.08.2011 at about 3:45 a.m. on a forest edge near Frankfurt Oder and in the following condition:Video The terrifying is which short ha I would like to ask the Commissioner whether he is prepared to accept the amendments tabled by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Protection.

  • Does the 991 convertible actually come with a folding roof?

As can be read in the current magazines, it is over and over with the beautiful fabric tool. Do not come in for me in the bag, if convertible, then please with fabric. Except perhaps with ner Allerweltsgurk like nem SLK tolerable, but with nem SL, Porsche Cabrio and Co for me a no go. Markus
