  • Castrol Magnatec can be combined with Edge

Hello guys, again Hello I’m new here and I got a good used 2008er with a complete checkbook from the dealer. My oil level shows me fully. I wanted to buy a liter of oil as a reserve for safety (that’s what I’ve been doing since driving cars). On the sign in the oil compartment it says that the PZ Regensburg took the Castrol Magnnatec Professional A3 5W-40 at the last service in 2014. I can no longer find this “only the Castrol Magnatec 5W-40 C3”. newer? The PZ told me that the A3 5W-40 is an older one and I should buy a 0W-40. I asked if I could combine a Magnatec with a Castrol Edge which could not tell me here again. What I found out is probably the specification number for Porsche “C3”. I know that now many say Castrol is not good etc. which I don’t care about because I stay with this brand. I’m now talking about: – Is the 5W-40 Magnatec C3 the successor of the in me in the Cayman used oil? – Can you combine the Magnatec which is currently in my Cayman with an edge? – Is the approval specification of the Cayman or in general of Porsche the identification C3? I hope it is someone who knows about it. Thank you guys PS: So far I had Audi there was the identification simply 507 etc… but now I am Porsche newbie

  • Porsche 964 for less than 30,000€?

Hello Porsche-Forum, The question is in principle above; I have a budget of just under 35,000€ and would like to buy a Porsche 911 C4 of the generation 964. Although I could still sell my Ford, but I really want to keep it as a winter and everyday car. On mobile.de etc. there are always also dealer offers for often well under 30,000€, which also seem very serious. On the other hand, you hear again and again from all sides that you can not get a good 911 under 30k € Because otherwise you take the risk of getting an expensive craft shop. What do you think in the forum, can you buy a 964 at such low prices? Thanks in advance for the answers! LG, Sierra4x4

  • MOTORCYCLES 997 S

Hello guys, Have a 997 Carrera S built in 2006. This one currently has an engine damage at 85,000 kilometers. In the analysis of this engine damage a cavitation damage was diagnosed at the warehouses. Also the expert claimed that this is a constructive defect, which is already present at the first commissioning of the vehicle. Furthermore is written by an already missing oil wedge. Can someone help me here, because I doubt this analysis , because that would mean that Porsche already delivers these cars with defects? Furthermore, I don’t know what an oil wedge is and I don’t know 100% how a cavitation damage can occur there. I would be very happy about your help. Greetings from Bavaria

  • Panamera is excellently launched on the US market

983 fixed orders have already been received since the presentation on 17 October. By the end of the year, the US Porsche Chef Bartsch expects about 1200. For next year, however, Bartsch is not yet forecasting because of the still extremely opaque economic situation. The target is between 4000 and 6000 Panameras, which accounts for about 25% of the total product. The Panamera has another positive side effect. Through it, there would be much more or even many new customers. the American Porsche car dealerships (floor traffic), which is also evident in the sales of the other Porsche models. http://www.egmcartech.com/…/

  • GT3 – Sport button

Hello, the exhaust flaps of my GT3 MK2 have “I” permanently opened – so I wanted to spare myself the annoying pressing of the sports button. Today I have then by chance a little bit in the manual and read the following sentence (unlikely wording) to the sports button: “By pressing the sports button the exhaust back pressure is reduced in the range of 3,000 to 4,000 revolutions and thus a significantly increased torque achieved. In order to achieve best driving values, the sports button must therefore ged Does Porsche mean that the exhaust flaps open in this speed range and the exhaust back pressure is reduced? Or does the sports button still do anything, changes any parameters etc.? Say: Do I drive without a pressed sports button and permanently open exhaust flaps in eco mode, or is the full power available to me?

  • Porsche Cayenne

Hello, would like to know what you have to pay attention to if you want to get a Cayenne. What repairs to the engine / gearbox / electronics you have to reckon with? What diagnostic software can you check a Porsche? I can test my Audis with VCDS relatively easy with the laptop / netbook . Would you like to learn more about repair instructions, part database etc. in order to be able to estimate to what extent you are dependent on a Porsche branch, I wouldn’t know any in me Closer…

  • Why do you sell a young 997?

For some time now I have thought of buying a 2 to 4 year old 997 (coupe, no four-wheeler, “smaller” motorization). For 45t to 60t EUR, i.e. about 50 per cent of the former new value there are lots of offers on the net. Now I wonder why you have such a young Porsche with these financial losses and often only 10t kilometers on the clock Are these cars that have only annoyed their owner? Will the classic Porsche driver after 2 years from Haus a What’s new? Is performance no longer enough? Does money not matter? Have people guessed with the maintenance/leasing? I would be very interested in your opinions on this!

  • 997 Tiptronik vs. BMW converter

Greetings! I was able to buy a 911 I (4S) this year with a possibility (alternatively R8 r-tronic but that’s another topic). Could already recently make a test ride with the Cayman and the 4S, where both switches were. Have fun, but I am in the city and the constant dome is already quite annoying. The tiptronics is usually called very bad, slow, opatronics etc. – is really so bad (can unfortunately not make a test ride yet). Do you currently drive a 335d with a converter and am not actually dissatisfied – can you somehow compare the tiptr. of 911 & a converter from BMW or does someone have a direct comparison?? Would I be interested in just that. Wouldn’t like to trigger a fundamental discussion here (read this in some other articles) about automatics and switches – but look forward to a few answers. Lg Sigi

  • 924(S) Counselling

Hello dear Porsche friends, I am new here in the forum and have a few questions about the 924 model, especially about the 924S. He has done it to me for a long time and now finally one of the first ones I thought about long between the “normal” 924 and the 924S. Meanwhile, however, the other chassis and also the power steering installed in the later models convinced me rather of the 924S. I have of course already read myself a lot (which should not mean that I know everything). ß/Ahnen habe!) and wanted to ask you about your opinion. Of the offers I have seen, I found these two particularly interesting: https://suchen.mobile.de/…/details.html?…https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/108820794-216-7446 Is there not only overall condition, well preserved interior equipment, performed maintenance and history still something important to consider? Especially the car in the first link I like so far very well, but unfortunately there is no serviceh Even before. Is that a no-go? H-mark he still has (know me as a previous non-oldtime driver with something like that unfortunately not so well off yet). Test drive is of course also, but that comes then, if I have the selection still somewhat limited. Tips and suggestions I gladly accept and for every help I am grateful! So thank you all already in advance. LG Jim

  • Porsche 992 or BMW Z4 M40?

Hello together, I know it is difficult to find the right place for the topic. At BMW you say you go to the Porscheforum here probably go to the BMW forum or even back to Audi. Since I am currently driving an Audi A5 convertible of the latest generation I see more overlaps with Porsche Group as a result. In the end the thing is a discussion for me between convertible or Coupe. So as described I have been driving an A5 convertible of the latest generation for 1.5 years and somehow missing mi This is not a problem. I drive about 20,000 – 25,000 kilometers a year and I would like to run the car as a full-year car. An M40i would have a 992 in the basic version (which is supposed to come in the summer) probably to about 110/120. The purchase price is higher but in the end would not necessarily be the main argument. A Porsche is a Porsche. I am 95 % alone. The model is too long on the market and I find the Z4 more beautiful. Advantages M40i Z4 – Roadster – Open driving great feeling of freedom – – Cheaper – Beautiful – normal boot back – Beautiful engine 6 cylinders (one of the last or probably the last Z4) – Full equipment Advantages Porsche – Icon – Sourane driving strips – Unbeatable – emotional – beautiful engine 6 cylinders but certainly not the last – Fully usable even in winter to operate Disadvantage Z4 M40i – Toyota – Mickey effect possibly in the long run – Image probably not so special even with customers and partners – Pure summer car actually disadvantage Porsche: – causes envier image – with business partners & customers Porsche not seen so much – expensive and only largely basic equipment because otherwise too expensive – design by now sucks a bit – as base 11er possibly with little equipment mikrig These are my impressions. renze is at 120 K. Maybe some people can express themselves emotionally. I just can’t make up my mind at the moment.
