  • Kaufberatung old 911er?

Hello, maybe you can give me a few tips. Bzw. my mother, because she wants to fulfill the dream to drive a Porsche at the age of 50. She absolutely wants a 911, because he likes her of the shape so much. Actually I wanted to talk her out of it, because she drives a little car and in my opinion also does not drive at all sporty. But did not use anything, she absolutely wants a Porsche. Since the car is now in any case bought I would like to inform myself, what there Maybe you can give me a few tips and suggestions which models are good and what you should pay attention to. So it should be an older model. I think 10 to 20 years. Motorization is not so important, at the moment it drives a small car with 60hp and is not dissatisfied with the thing. It’s important that the look is good and you like it. You know what you have to pay attention to when it comes to tax and insurance as much as possible. How about the new exhaust emission standards? Running list would be about 10,000 km per year. Someone who repairs the car if necessary would have me at hand, so if something breaks, it wouldn’t be a broken leg (if you get the parts without any problems). So what kind of special model should you look for? I am grateful for all the answers. Greetings

  • Return GT 2 this year

According to tomorrow’s “road traffic” will be introduced in the 4th quarter of the 997 GT 2. On page 27 photos 3/4 front and 3/4 rear of the sales version are shown. ” rear instead of all-wheel drive, new front and rear aprons, a rear spoiler of the size of an ironing board about 375-380kW already becomes out of the cultivated 911 turbo of the fear inspiring GT 2, with which the Zuffenhauseners want to upset the power relations in the super sports car class… …..in contrast to the However, the GT 2 can do without a no-fit diet. Luxurious extras are to remain on board, as unnecessary pounds have been saved by the elimination of a number of kilos.” Greetings Kühli

  • Porsche GT Coupé is coming!!!

There is again a real Porsche Gran Turismo. On the shortened Panamera platform he could start from 2010 onwards. Here’s an original quote from an exclusive story “Auto Strassenverkehr” issue 12 of tomorrow. Quotation: “Over a billion euros Porsche is in the development of the Panamera. Every further opportunity is welcome. In addition to a spin-off for Bentley and Bugatti, Porsche CEO Wendelin W GT Coupe is the name of the 2+2-seater, which could start at the end of 2010. The Gran Turismo would follow in the footsteps of the Porsche 928 built from 1977 to 1995 and fit perfectly into the gap between 911 and Panamera. Up to now, competitors such as BMW 6er and Aston Martin V8 Vantage have roamed there. At the moment, Porsche expects to be able to take over 60 percent of the Panamera parts for the GT Coupe – in terms of development “The technology is adapted by Panamera: front engine, rear/all-wheel drive as with the 911 turbo. Engine range: 4.8 l V8 biturbo from Cayenne with approx. 520 hp plus ; 5.7 l V10 with 620 hp plus from Carrera GT. In addition, a V6 petrol with hybrid drive is available from 2011 on. The performance is not yet known, but the version has to reach a Vmax of > 280 km/h according to the specifications. You can start to get the necessary change. Greetings, Kühli

  • Start problems with the 944 Turbo

Hello, today, after a long time my old starting problem has occurred again. Short description: I get in, turn on the ignition, press the starter and the box, but does not work. I switch off the ignition and again on ……… (I do this sometimes once or twice, make it 10 times or 12 times) …… then it starts as usual. I have already renewed all relays, the DME relay twice already. Does someone have an idea what I could do? In order to limit the error? Temperature or weather-dependent the problem is not, it comes like that, or something like that, does not occur for a longer time at all, is then again once a week….. So really to get crazy. I am grateful for every tip! Greeting, Martin!

  • Motor damage Porsche 996?

Hello together, I’m new here, I only had my first Porsche 991 type 996 for a few weeks. Purchased as used, EZ 1999, km 90 000. Yesterday he left me in the lurch. The first thing I had to find out was that the engine had difficulty starting in the warm state. It just took a little longer until it jumped on and then wanted a bit of gas, so that it didn’t just turn off again. After that it ran normal, m. E. also with normal power. Then vo r the garage at home (thank God not on the way) he went out in the stand gas and during the start attempt there was a huge bang. After that nothing went on. Don’t jump on anymore and also has a somewhat strange sound when starting through. Now is Sunday and I do not catch the dealer of course. I wonder if this is a capital damage (e.g. cylinder head). If so, what costs do I have to reckon with? It is gruesome for me! For short feedback I am grateful – No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  • What am I doing wrong with my acceleration measurements? Cayenne needs 8 sec from 0-100 🙁

Hello Together, I wanted to measure today the acceleration values of my Cayenne S 4.5L from 2003. I did maybe 6 attempts and got over every time at values of 8.0 seconds or even slightly. Now I have a question for you: Can it be that I do the measurement wrong? Or is it possibly because of the engine? Are engines slowing down over time / less pull-through strong? Would be nice if someone could find themselves with some “racing” experience with my manco Because 8.0 seconds from 0-100 is really not tingling and rather in the Opel Corsa class. Have had a try by my passenger (who held his camera in front of my chest) video-technically recorded:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBM_yGKGVKQ Thank you in advance, Rainer

  • 987 vs. TT Roadster

Hi dear forum participants, we would like to buy a new convertible. So far we have tested a Mercedes SLK, a 987 and today the new TT Roadster with 200 hp. The SLK is now completely eliminated. We tested the Porsche a week ago and were a bit disappointed about some things. Among other things I was negatively surprised how little one notices of the 245 hp. Furthermore, I find the material appearance in the interior partly a bit cheap and the key is t for a car of this price class a joke. But well, with a Porsche you buy a part of the myth with. Today we then tested the TT Roadster as said, and I have to say, that according to our subjective feeling of the Audi, although with 45 hp less, goes clearly better. Among other things, the reaction to the steering movements is much more jagged than in the 987. So all in all the TT drove as we imagined the Porsche. I can’t imagine, however, since ss this is only due to the extra weight of the Porsche. Basically we would favor the 987. However, we do not necessarily want to buy a 987 S. My question is whether we are simply ignorant people who simply do not understand a Porsche, or whether someone has already had the same subjective experience. For example, can one give the Porsche more pepper if one orders a parameter steering or a sports suspension etc. ?? Thank you for your opinions !

  • My mishap on the highway

Hello everybody, I didn’t want to give you my bad luck before. Very short: AB A555 Cologne direction Bonn. The 100 kmh limit we picked up shortly after the bridge Wesseling, which I also drove very accurately because I know that there is often flashes there. Well… I did not accelerate quite normally after the free ride was not heckich or so. That was also quite normal! Until all of a sudden this uncomfortable feeling came in the popo area! Yes, it was not dry but not raining! I started to turn, once with the front in the guardrail and after approx. 100 m then again with the rear. What came out of it see pictures….. Maybe also not bad again correctly to point out how “hecklastig” a Porsche is nevertheless! State of things at the moment is: damage 58000 EUR plus VAT resale value 32500 EUR residual value is determined the time. About a few tips on what I should pay attention to in this thing is really grateful, since ic h such a thing “fortunately” never had. Oh yes! Car was in a top condition, no matter if tires or other condition. Last inspection was about 8 weeks ago for 1800 EUR. Is already a sad thing for me 🙁 even if for many he was not the most beautiful 11er! I had every amount of fun with the car and I really hung on it! Schade drum…… Will not buy a new one now, that comes into question only next year. Will also be interested in a 996 since a 997 for me then still will not be to be paid?!?! Maybe then I will find a nice 4S around the 40 000 EUR. Let’s see….. Greetings Patrick And remember: Wet road, foot from the gas!!! I know……but man forgets it quickly.
