Hello dear Porsche community, don’t know if there is such a thing already, where the 986 Boxster drivers can exchange ideas with each other without the , true, Porsche drivers having the desire to drive Porsche. Porsche is VW, was it then and now again, Porsche is like VW Golf, Audi, Skoda or anything else. So nothing special. There, where Porsche is on it, is not necessarily Porsche in it. I am relatively new in the Porsche world and have been driving a 986 B for six months. Oxster from 2000 first hand and it has now 127Tkm down, every annual maintenance has been proven. So far completely problem-free. A small oil leak has set itself then, thus short hand fixed and also other things changed. The plastic pipes, where the spark plugs are in, with the 2 O-rings should be renewed, in the same train new spark plugs and a 71° thermostat were installed. Furthermore also an oil change was made, Valvoline SynPower 5W40. W aren about 4h work. Maybe you can exchange with other 986 Boxster driving. Greetings

Porsche 997s now buy or wait until next year
Hello dear Porsche drivers, after 14 years of not having a Porsche anymore, I am thinking of buying my dream car again. My Porsche were, 2 pcs. 944, – first 911 3,2 – afterwards 964 and as last I had the 993, I would not have sold it better, I sold it after a year with 8000 km, the car is cult today, and you get almost only US imports. Well, that’s how it is, in 1997 nobody guessed, was also the last air-cooled engine, so long. But I like the 997s Coupe very much, is a nice car. Now my question, what do you think, would like to buy a well used one, should I wait until next year, after the new model 991 is on the market, because then the choice of 997`s models would have to be bigger than today, also in the price something fall, of course, every day without elf is a lost day, but with me now it does not matter for half a year. Search a 997s black metallic, year 0 6/07 approx. 600000 km, is currently traded just over 50000.- Euro, at PZ even more expensive, what do you think, wait or not. For your efforts best thanks, and always nitter-free ride, your Hans

Boxster II dry swamp ?
On the Porsche site it says that the new boxster has a dry swamp slurry. The old one did not have that. I have now heard that it is not a real dry swamp lubrication, however? Is that true? Does someone know something more precisely?

Buy 996 or 997?
Hello Porsche fans. Have a Carrera 4 BJ 6/03 and have sold it. But since it is to become a Porsche again I am faced with a difficult task. 996 or 997? There are some factory new 996 with very good price reductions. Among them also 996 4S or convertibles. 2-3 years old turbos are also available at the moment quite cheap. I like the 997. But since there are hardly any price reductions (5-6% in Austria) (Please don’t have any discussions about their meaning now. Have enough money, this abe There are also some 997 demonstration cars, but either the equipment is not too small according to my wish or the discount for a car that may be afflicted with children’s diseases or severe test drives. What would you do. Would you like to lose as little as possible. Please only serious answers Thanks and dear greetings from Austria Martin

Engine damage 911/3.4 L/300 hp
Hello valued user, I have completely unexpectedly bought a 911,3.4L with 300 HP, convertible, year of construction 10/2001, with 45,000 Km, 2nd hand, full leather black, silver, Navi etc. for 26,000,– Euro from a 70 year old previous owner. Vehicle has some small Mägel, since the previous owner did not care very much about the vehicle. <> Must be so at the price. Was after the purchase at the check at 9elfer competition (chief of the workshop in Munich/Neuried). The workshop boss made me an unruly In general, a statement about the engine 3.4 L is as follows: “With this engine you are sitting on a ticking time bomb – he has already had to replace about 50 of these engines due to engine damage (Riss in the casting / engine block). This problem comes without notice and can start already at 15,000 km or also come at 40,000 o. 60,000 km – many engines can also hold 200,000 km. How are your experiences to this problem – must I actually be afraid? ate one of the last of this series. Thank you very much Best regards from Munich

Brakes 991.2 squeaking – workshop does not feel responsible
Who shares my suffering? The (steel) brakes of my 991.2 (5500km old) squeak unbearably at almost every braking to standstill – so for example also at every traffic light, which I can easily recognize by the passers-by, when their heads turn or they hold their ears. Even during shunting (back!) the brakes squeak – then however in another, also very ear-friendly tone position. I thought this was an unding and have communicated this to the PZ as well. I was sent home with a lapidare “this is quite normal”. After all, the brakes were incredibly good and would still be fully packed even after the fantastillionth braking. The brake discs are made of Kryptonite-like next-generation steel, which only Porsche developed to perfection. Unfortunately, only on the altar of the hundredth full-brake without heat development had to be sacrificed any comfort. I’m sorry to say that I’m having a squeaky time … but that’s why the car is braking really great. It’s strange that my X6M50d also slows down well, although it’s almost a ton heavier – and doesn’t even want to squeaky! Madness, what a miracle BMW did! Out of this world! Too bad Porsche didn’t make it. Instead of his chic look and beautiful engine/puff sound, my Carrera “excited” with its embarrassingly spectacular brake sound. I have already tried all the “tricks” of the workshop. Among other things, let the brakes grind on the motorway. Nothing changes and it doesn’t matter whether the brakes are warm or cold.

991.1 S early models , 4/12, problems ,…
Dear Porsche municipality! Follow for some time the used car market concerning 991 S with a few kilometers. The prices are persistently high and stable, especially in Austria. From time to time I find interesting offers Currently a 991.1 S from 4/12 with less than 10000km around 94k Is this an attractive offer or is something to consider with the first models from 2012 ? Monday car ? Common defects ? Best regards Ksdrei

Macan with Navi or Connect / Connect Plus?
Hi there, I configired a Macan and now I have come across a question or a problem… There is the navigation module for Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and the module Connect or Connect Plus. If I take the Navi I can also take the LED headlights, I take Connect (Plus) the Navi and the LED headlights are selected. The explanation of what Connect everything I can not do so great and my appointment with the dealer is only at the end of the next week but I know e Can I “stream” everything to the display with Connect and Apple Carplay? So do I also have my cards, playlists etc? Do I only have Apple Carplay if I take Connect or also with the Navi? What are the advantages of the Navi (except the LED headlights)? What are the advantages of the Connect / Connect Plus?? Is Connect Plus worth it? What is the cost of the Connect contract from Porsche? At BMW this online service was 3 years free… Thank you and a nice (Nikolaus) Sunday 🙂

Leasing Porsche 991
Dear Forum, I would like to have this 991 leasen.http://m.mobile.de/portal/index.html#Car/DES/192232719 But the Porsche used car leasing conditions are relatively expensive compared to my identical X5. How expensive would it be, or what value could I achieve for the car if I sold it after 24 months with 40000 kilometers. How much discount could I get now for the vehicle Or would a leasing of an independent company be cheaper?

Boxster 986 wintering, but how?
Hello guys. Now it’s almost finished funny again and the winter break is at the door. Since it’s for me (my boxster) the first winter I wanted to ask what I have to consider? Or just turn off, disconnect battery and cover over it? Look forward to your tips.
