  • Purchase decision for a boxster with four previous owners

Moin Moin! is in the decision to buy me a boxster and already has two three vehicles in the short choice. One of them has unfortunately already four previous owners (in 6 years) 🙁 for every other vehicle I wouldn’t think about it any further and leave my fingers off!! What is this like with a Porsche? Does this happen in a loss of value if I want to sell the vehicle in 2 or 3 years? What experiences are there here in the forum? Thanks, good and safe slide!

  • Kaufberatung 996 2003 or older?

Hello, I dream of a Porsche in my life. Now it could be financially next year. Not much is together but I think enough for a bargain. I first thought of a 996, convertible, bj 2000 just over 100,000€ with everything (so equipment, not damage hehe) …. is this recommended? DENN: The from 2003 then 320hp have 20 more, facelift etc … is the more receptive? The prices are already a difference, would then have to do without convertible. 2000er m it much versus 2003er with less for the same amount of Üros. Can someone tell me something? am not sooo fit inside answer would be great. Oh, one more thing: ugly interior colors get super cheap. eg BLUE, GREEN, ROT … is it worth buying the cheap and gradually completely swapping through in black or beige? Bzw DOES THAT?

  • Help with purchase of 964 convertible

Hello I’m newly registered and I’d like to buy a 964 and, as a layman, I’d like to ask you a few questions (never had a Porsche before) I say in advance that I live in Switzerland, I’m looking for a used car, I’m looking for a 40.000-45,000 euro maximum and it won’t be a second car, but I don’t use the car every day, rather on the weekends. Unfortunately, no one who knows about cars in particular will check the car professionally. My wish would be in principle a black convertible, with max. approx. 100k km. 1. How much cost per year for the maintenance (except of course insurance/control sign fees) do I have to expect? 2. Which vintages of the 964 should I avoid? 3. What must I pay attention to, except maintenance / checkbook? 4. Compulsory from a garage or also from private? 5. What are normal prices for a black convertible, with max. approx. 100k km.? 6. What does a Porsche cost? to have a new paint? (if I don’t find a black one..) Must honestly admit, be afraid to buy a scrap, and spend not a little money for it 🙂 Thanks for tips

  • Urgent purchase advice to 996 requested!

Hello experts, I was interested in a 996 convertible. Positive: EZ 2004, little kilometer, good general condition, 997 conversion Negative: professionally repaired damage at the front left, ABS control unit still has to be changed, the airbag control unit has to be reset, the roof has to be adjusted and the actuator has to be renewed. As far as the information in the listing is concerned. For me, it doesn’t sound so bad. What do you think, there is possibly more behind it, or it is worth the damage to re How much could the repair cost? Greetings, Werner

  • Anxiety and anxiety

I have been at motor-talk for a long time but I am new here at porsche. since about 1 year I have fulfilled my life and as a summer- & nice weather car I acquired a boxter s first hand with 140,000 km from a dealer. the vehicle was regularly waited until the last inspection (free workshop) of the pz. I had a small inspection carried out in the pz in the early year. if I now read here in the forum how susceptible the engines should be and 140,000 km already on the other side of the pz. n are good and evil and therefore I have to expect every moment with a capirtal motor damage. at 3.2 liters cc and regular maintenance ? should keep forever especially because of porsche or ? are the motors not stable and designed for high running performance ? how is your assessment ? professional founded contributions preferred ! many greetings harti

  • Porsche Boxster 986 with high mileage

Good day, I would be interested to know how long 986 2.5 or 2.7 l engines last. Here I have an example, from an offer that interests me:http://suchen.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… 169 000 km are a very nice route, but all customer services were done in the PZ and at 160 tkm of inspection. Besides, this is a dealer… …or is that just too much and you have to worry that after another 10 tkm you have an engine damage? PS: I know there is Au tos the drive 300 tkm without any problems and there are those which drop, or scrap already after 20. But a general assessment would be very nice. Thank you [content removed from MOTOR-TALK] __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Porsche 996 vs. Mercedes S 63 AMG

Hello, about 2 months ago I was travelling with my father on the A7 from Fulda direction Kassel, i.e. in the famous Kassel mountains. When a speed limit of 120 kmh was still valid we overtook a S 63 Facelift model, which drove with about 100 kmh to the right. After 120 was lifted, it was already not visible in the rear-view mirror. We accelerated to about 220 kmh with our 996 Facelift cabrio but had to brake soon due to the traffic. d we drove with about 140 behind another car, the benz came from behind. The car drove us soon cleared the left lane and we accelerated fully. The AMG hung us in the back and when on the right became free my father left it past and we hung and on the back. We had of course zero chances from the acceleration, but because of the traffic volume, which stopped us at the speed of 270 at the latest at the Benz. However, I thought, My father got the last one out of the 911 and we took the curves with about 240 to 250 (who knows the Kassler mountains has an approximate idea of the speed in the Kuve). In any case, the S63 was also a little faster, not much, but it was faster. Now I wonder if the curve position in the 997 compared to the 996 really improved or if the S63 was better than a 911 on the Because if so, I wonder why you buy a sports car at all, if a modern luxury limousine itself is faster in the curves or at least at the same speed and offers a high level of comfort, which makes it possible to drive from Munich to Hamburg and besides, an S 63 does not cost much more than a well equipped Carrera S…

  • Buying advice 911-oldie

Hello, I’m just thinking about whether I should fulfill my childhood dream and get an old 911. I’ve been reading through dozens of forums for a year now, and I’ve also had a good theoretical knowledge about the different models, engines, etc. and what to look for when buying. Last week I was in a sales room by looking at a model that was interesting for me. The car looks very good. The car was rebuilt by a specialist workshop (sport car Eiden, if I am not mistaken). Next week I will organize a test drive. The car is restored and no longer original. This has disturbed me at first sight, but could accept me if the price is in order, since the vehicle is primarily for driving and not for collecting. The facts: Coupé Year of manufacture: 1976 Engine: 2.7 with other pistons (performance on the test bench: 195 ps) overhauled Carrera rs Look No Matching Numbers Clubcage Car originally comes from Switzerland 915 transmission with shorter switching distances Original seats replaced by 2 shell seats Bilstein suspension New tyres 1 year dealerga rantie Price: € 27,000 (in my opinion too high) Photos here:http://www.fineyoungtimers.lu/fr/2/top-menu/inventory/0-inventory-30/ I thank you in advance for your answers!!! clency

  • Start/stop automatic only works sporadically

The start/stop automatic of the Cayenne (S) somehow does not work properly. It only switches off the engine in felt 30% of all stops. At the very cold temperatures of the last few weeks it actually did not work at all. Can anyone confirm that? Not that I would attach a great importance to it. If one considers that at idle in the hour perhaps 1-2 liters are consumed, is the influence of a few minutes of accumulated ampelstops on to completely neglect the average consumption, but I would be interested in what this is all about! What parameters does it depend on and why?

  • Max. engine running power 997 S or turbo

Hello to everyone ! Because of the enormous power yield I would be interested in how many kilometers of mileage the engines can withstand, or how you evaluate this with regard to the new Di`s. Currently come from the BMW 530d ( E60 ) stock. Here one can say quite clearly: Six-cylinder diesel engines, with series-wise problems (partially capitalized engine damage ) in the range 100,000 to 150,000 KM with a power yield of approx. 80-90 hp per litre.
