  • Possy terms are a mystery to me…

Hello to all Porsche drivers. A friend of mine and me (both of us are Opel drivers) have recently come up with what exactly the designations 996; 964; 993 etc. say. That’s all 911 he, right? Does this run with these numbers as e.g. BMW where E21; E30; E36; E46 internal designations for the respective generation of 3 ́ BMW ́s stands. If so which designation stands for which 911er? If no, please explain to me what these designations mean. MfG An opelfahrend he Porsche fan

  • Purchase advice 996 GT3 vs. Turbo

Moin, I play with the thought of selling my S4 and getting my 911 (model 996). Contrary to the opinion of many above mentioned models I like the best at present and are also in the price range of the feasible. However, I could not really find something about the weaknesses of the above mentioned models (typical Macks). Who drives one of the two models and can let me share in the experiences? Oh still something….Cars are there with me to drive, i.e. that the car also in winter at -2 0°C must go… 🙂 I look forward to your experiences. Greetings

  • Battery problems?!

Hello! Since Tuesday I bought my Fritz – as I call him 🙂 from the PZ. Yesterday I started a round and arrived at home I wanted to program the home link times. So cover up, ignition on and off it goes. 10 minutes later I was finished and the car at the start only a heckish “click click click” The Approved Angel said that the battery was loaded, but completely empty. I would not have expected that now after a 2 month old 111 points check! r anyone experience with the lifespan of batteries in a 997 convertible?

  • 911 s or not s….

Hello, I’m about to buy my first Porsche (I’ve only driven BMW for years). It’s supposed to be a 991 cabrio. I’m about to decide to take a s or the normal one (350 vs. 400ps). Unfortunately, I haven’t tried it yet. Does the “normal” 991 have enough power and torque, or is the extra price on the s variant also worth it for people like me, who were actually satisfied with a 265hp BMW Z4? What would you advise me to do?

  • Porsche is absolutely uncultivating and uncooperative

With regard to my anger with my Porsche vehicles, I got the hint to try it with a bulwark request. That is absolutely impossible! Of course, my vehicles have only been bought, maintained and repaired in the Porsche center for 23 years.I am currently standing with 2 Porsche in the Göttingen PZ. The 911 (Bj.89) is there despite galvanized bodywork for the repair of heaviest rusts in the lock plate and side section. Already in 2006 I have the entire front car for EUR 16.000. But Porsche Classic is not able to deliver the right repair plates, or one is only willing to sell possibly suitable plates without rescission. To this extent, Porsche Classic is very, very unfriendly to customers. The 996 (Bj.00) is there because of a cracked cylinder head. The boss and the PZ-master claim that they would receive a warning if you left. But don’t worry, no mistake is so interesting that you do it three times! And the master, actually a humanly very nice and m.E. a professional very competent man can do nothing there. The customer unfriendliness and the lack of courage at Porsche is also known to me by now! But nevertheless many thanks f Don’t give me that hint!

  • GT3 997, operating hours and average speed

Hello to the community, with me burns??. I have a vehicle on offer, where I grüble something about the data. I almost already agreed. Are the data plausible from your point of view? Vehicle driven sporty, also on tracks for trackdays etc. But no race track operation. Hobby drivers but probably already a bit ambitious. Mileage 40.000 km Operating hour counter 472h (that should be the airbag, right?) Operating hours at overspeed 1 382h, operating hours at over Speed 2 382h Operating hours at overspeed 3 0h Range 1 83 Ignition (Piwi) Range 2 15 Ignition (Piwi) How do you see that? The car has been moved very quickly, right? That’s what worries me. If the data are as I think it would be an average of 84km/h over all operating hours. With operating hours 1 even 105km/h. That’s really a lot! I would be happy about your help, because I’m not far from buying. Greetings Gordan

  • Price question

Tag zusammen! Mal ne Question – what can a 2 year old 991 cost without extras except for silver metallic and sliding roof? Suppose he has 0 km and is registered for 2 years and from private… Any idea?

  • Cayenne Diesel… does the vehicle still make sense now?

Hello guys, first Merry Christmas !!!!!! had until recently a Cayenne V6 built in 2006.. with beautiful 22″ rims .. The vehicle is now gone and I am currently driving an E350 CDI coupé in black with natural beige leather. Think now again about changing to the Cayenne or a similar SUV… The question is whether it is worth buying a Cayenne diesel for 60,000 euros now, since in a few months the new one will come… Will the loss of value be extreme.. wa s you would recommend… Alternatively would be an X6 3.5d .. Ride currently about 30000 KM a year and therefore a diesel would not be bad. The Cayenne Diesel which I have seen costs 61,000 euros in white with fullheath in black. Alternatively there was at our dealer another one in black with beige leather… with the usual equipment both have the air suspension (had unfortunately not missed in our old). Greeting from Stuttgart Aj

  • Suitable for everyday use/ Winter operation Cayman

Dear Porsche community, how do you see the everyday fitness (i.e. daily, not only Sundays) at Cayman and how well does it work in winter with ice and snow? Who can do it better in daily use of the “normal” or the “S”? I am grateful for your experience as a help for my upcoming decisions. LG rudi

Preventive work ?? YES or NO – experience? – How sensitive is the cover (maintenance, care, etc.) ? Car was now standing out a little longer (at the dealer) and now also had experience with MINUS temperatures and snow. – How sensitive is the PASM system ?
