  • Porsche 996 C2 vs 4S overall comparison

Hello dear porsche-gemeinde… ..I want to add a 996er (a dream) in the next 2 weeks as a coupe black/black,pdc,naivi,slide roof, switch, bose, sports flap exhaust etc… so almost full. Now I’m just thinking about which one it should be now.c2 or 4s. But here my questions to the experts with their experiences. General construction year: from 2002 or 2003 the pcm 2 should have been installed first. after the facelift the WMS probs are supposed to have been fixed. c2 vs 4S performance? 0-100 and 0-200 does anyone have exact values? consumption? running costs? everyday fitness? handling? chassis, brakes… is the 4s actually lower than the c2? can the 4s wider tires drive? or already series on it? The used car warranty because of WMS?? times seriously … the 800-1200 euro has been saved fast or?… what costs for these models the rep. at the pz? PSM? at the c2 optional and at the 4s series… how important or useful? Sports flaps puff…a must or? Subjectively I like the 4S better…but I really don’t want to have any loss of performance for that.. because I’m a small (rather big) speed and power junkie. I don’t have money for a turbo. So 4S horny optic..c2 horny price. If there are any more adnere differences, which I didn’t list, I would be grateful about every info. So… THANK YOU IN PREPARATION !!! Pasha

  • Starting normal in second gear?

Moin and Merry Christmas! 🙂 I replaced my S6 4 weeks ago with a 911er and therefore switch from Audi to the Porsche Forum. 🙂 I noticed that my new one always drives in the second gear. Is that normal? At least the red LED of the Tiptronic always stands on 2 when the car is standing. Not that I want to complain about too little drive while driving off… 😉 That works really well! 😉 Greetings from Hamburg, Quickrider.

  • Are these H&R discs too excessive?

Hello and good day, I would like to have a question to all those places (but everyone else is welcome to answer) the distances with their Porsche 911 997 Carrera. According to Porsche, 5 mm are all around (albeit hardly on) or 17mm are allowed on the rear axle. Now H&R, who has something to do with the Porsche Cup and has a lot of idea of Porsche has many distance discs in different sizes on offer. I have chosen which ones even ABE have They have 30mm on the front axle and 36mm on the rear axle. I think you can see them, because they are not too discreet. Since they have ABE, they have to be compatible with the car, but Porsche says that the guarantee goes if I put it on. Can you tell me what you say about distances in this size? The type of H&R says that the distances of the cars are “wider” and richer on the road. But I’ve also heard that the car is too sensitive to all kinds of things (rills, tram tracks, etc.) and is very bad to act. I’d be happy about your answers and experiences! Thank you already in advance!!! Greetings Sezai

  • News from Porsche…

In the meantime, sales at Porsche fell by almost one third (30.5 percent) year-on-year to 1.1 billion euros in the sports and off-road car business. Sales fell by almost 40 percent to 11 385 vehicles. The sports car manufacturer did not provide information on the result of Porsche AG. However, sales are expected to increase for the whole year. Porsche Automobil Holding SE recorded a net loss of 3.6 billion euros in the 2008/2009 financial year despite a profit in the car business. Due to the failed VW takeover, charges of several billion euros were incurred. In the current financial year, billion losses are expected again. Due to the connection with VW, Porsche announced its manufacturing contract with Magna. The Austrian-Canadian car supplier will receive compensation for this, operated a speaker of the sports car manufacturer a report of the “Wirtschaftswoche”. The money is to flow for already done development work. Porsche made no information on the height. Magna Steyr in Graz is supposed to have been working on the new generations of the Porsche models Boxster and Cayman for more than a year. In 2008 Porsche ordered Magna to build the two coupés for eight years from 2012. After the takeover of the Osnabrücken convertible specialist Karmann by VW, now s speculates that the Boxster will also be built in Lower Saxony in the future.Source

  • 997 Purchase decision Ask for your help!!

Hello, after fortunately I was able to change my Audi R8 after a year of use, I now urgently need a new car. I have now tested the 911 pallet in the local PZ and the Panamera in the last few days…….and I am not much smarter than before. I write to myself ‘times my impressions/thoughts from the heart, in the hope of feedback.Shortly my impressions: A convertible is quite nice but you can only have the roof on or on. A sliding roof can be In addition, a coupé is lighter and torsion stiffer. An all-wheel drive vehicle has the nice thick cheeks as at that time my 993 2S, but is not felt as dynamic as a normal, i.e. 2 wheel driven vehicle. In addition, a 4-wheel drive is also heavier again. The 3.6 liter engine of the 345 hp 911 seems to me to be much more revolving. The S I drove, however, was brand new and not driven in; the normal h The S always made the impression to “swallow / jerk” before he accepted the gas. In addition, I felt the exhaust noise in the S especially on the highway and here again in the range around 150 km/h as very disturbing. But actually I would like to have 385 hp, red brake calipers and 4 exhaust pipes….. only loud it should not be. That’s why the Panamera fits really well, which is quite comfortable but unfortunately looks ugly (Pardon; mei And since he can’t replace our family car with the small trunk (Q7) he’s actually too big for me……….And now???? 345 hp with sports exhaust and repainted brake calipers? Or just the 385 hp strong S? There’s no big difference in price anymore. And here’s my question: Do you also feel the 3.6 liter engine as more elastic/rotating? Do you think my impressions of the 3.8 liter engine? More dynamic? Is the PASM suspension noticeably more comfortable than the standard suspension? Do the large (at 1.90 m) among you also feel like finding a better seat position with the electric seats? Which interior color would you recommend to cream white? I would be happy about every kind of response – even to partial areas -! Best regards

  • Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo – Wind and driving noise

Dear Porsche drivers, since yesterday I have a Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo from the local PZ to the test drive. Actually, my next one was to become an E53 AMG T-model. But the Porsche appeals to me both emotionally and financially – because of the advantage of the 0.5% service car tax for me as a self-employed person. The first 250km since yesterday were already fascinating. Only one thing bothers me (the test car stands on 19″ Michelin winter tyres): From about 150 km/h the (driver) -)Wind noise on the front seats is annoyingly loud for a car of this class. There is even the Mercedes CLA 200 Shooting Brake my wife above 150 km/h to 200 quieter in the wind noise. I also drove in the Porsche some motorway kilometers on the back seat and found there above all the rolling noise from the rear axle very loud. In my experience the Michelin are very quiet winter tires. Is this a well-known phenomenon? And above all: Brings the order optio n VW6 “Noise and heat protection glazing including privacy glazing” something? I would hope that this “noise protection glazing” will reduce wind noise?! For your experience I would be grateful! Thank you David

  • 981 S with 100t km for 48’000€? Value loss?

After countless rivets I finally found a Cayman S who has everything I need. Bose is missing for example, but I don’t have any value on it. The car has Approved so I don’t worry about the kilometers personally. However, if it is sold once in 1 or 2 years, it will end up at 110-120t km. On mobile.de there are 2 Caymans, one for 36.90€ and one for 40.99€ – so far cheaper than the under 100t km, which for the most part for about 45. It’s worth 48,000€ for me. But it would be my first Porsche, I know nothing about the market: is 100t km a magic limit for you fans? My fear is to experience a value loss of 10,000€ at the 6th place on the counter. I myself have only searched for 100t km and hope for a certain value stability in the 981 as the last sucker. But in my head a 95tkm of the 10tkm is worth more than one of 30t ==References====External links==

  • Taycan orderer searched for exchange

Today I discussed the final wish configuration with my dealer. But now I need 1-2 more thoughtful nights to reconsider the order. I think that I am 80% sure that it will be a Taycan. The 4S in detail, but with the performance battery plus. Is anyone else here who has ordered or is close to the order and likes to exchange?

  • Fuel consumption 911 4S FL (direct injection, hand switch)

Hello, I’m a little surprised about the oil consumption: In just under 10000km I had to refill oil 3 times (each min. 1 litre). Although I never received a warning message, but at the oil control the indicator was then at the minimum. After a litre refill it showed up full. Is such oil consumption normal? I didn’t have it with any car. Do you have it with your new 911ers too? I am grateful for feedback. s4fun

  • Porsche Cayenne 3.2 v6 approx.

Hi guys, I’m driving an Audi S6 4b at the moment. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any luck with the car, so I’m selling it now. Would like to buy a Cayenne 3.2 V6 approx. Bj 05 with about 100000-150000 km on it (I like the first model best). Has someone had experience with the car to the year of construction and km, which can tell me what is vulnerable or what you should pay attention to when buying. Thanks for the answer in advance.
